I have seen people mention LES but am unsure of what this acronym means. It relates to fond memories, am I correct?
Are there any that you don't know what they mean?

Leaky Eye Syndrome I believe...ie...crying
you got it right. It happens alot when we have sad threads.
Ahh, thanks guys! I've been wondering what this meant too.
Heh, yes! Thank you both of you! Lots of folks mentioned it and I was not sure if it conveyed empathy or whatnot. :D
So thats what that means :o
It also stands for Louisiana Energy Services ... a company that is building a uranium enrichment facility in my county. I have to do a double-take when I read headline titles such as, "LES Project A Success!"
It can be good, happy tears sometimes, and sad, sympathetic tears sometimes. Just like real tears!
ROFLMAO!!
I am a military wife! LES = Leave and Earnings Statement. (Military pay stub.)

I could be wrong, but I think our very own Phred and his pupsters, Cinder and Smokey, originated the term. :)
I actually think it was Richard that started the LES. :)
I think Logan is correct. Although Richard seldom lets his tender side show (it might tarnish his "image" ;) ) he, too, will experience LES - happy or sad. I do believe that's where I heard it first. *don't tell him I said so* ;)
Heh, it wouldn't be in Caddo would it? :oQuote:

You see, this is why I LOVE this site. Ask a question like that on another forum and see all the poeple making fun of you. All the computer 'nerds' ;)
PT Furminology Dictionary
Here is the link to a "dictionary" that a bunch of us put together - with pet-related terms that we sometimes use. Hope this is helpful, especially next time a thread gives you LES ;)

LES was a RICHARD-ism.
That makes a lot more sense than Lower East Side...
Just now, I was reading a post here on Pettalk. Somebody said I got LES, and I have read this word before but, I could never find the correct answer. And I searched it up, and clicked on a site and well.. I came back on pettalk! :D
Thanks for posting! :D
