I have read many articles on CH Cats, and the wonderful thing is taht if they are around other Cats, thier motor skills will eventually improve.

She is beautiful!!!! Looking at her pictures....does she try to use her tail for a little additional balance....it's always straight up in the air....or is she just so very happy to have a forever home....or a little bit of both. ;)
:) Yes she uses her tail to balance when she is on three paws or trying to be on two paws.. She tries so hard to be on two to play with dangly things & will tip over every time.. She does good if on three paws if leaned up on something & or touching with solid spot.. The name pronounce is Ta cc=(K) O (like coco) A == It means Beautiful in Indian..Quote:

:) Hi Mari & yes I have done a thread of going for the adoption first of last week.. This wittle one & mom with 2 siblings was abandon by humans very young & a rescue service got them Town & Country & this one was to be adopted out like twice & when the people saw her & how she moved or could not be normal they did not want her.. I have already two other babies from Town & Country so when I got noted of this baby I knew she was to go home with me & site unseen & no questions asked.. The same pictures in her album on CH are on here thru the diff post I have done on page one..Quote:

;) Hello all I am doing just great in my new home.. Meowmom cradles me & with lots of huggss & whisker kissess.. I am funny when I have found something & am determand to get up on & then when I fall & I look at meowmom & she says Oppssyy Doddles .. I have gotton on some stuff by pulling up on the sofa & small things.. I do play with the others & do just great.. Hey did I mention how much I Love Food.. Thanks all for Loving Me.. I am a CH baby and in the process of training my meowmie too! I have a tiny litterbox in the bathroom (where I stay when she's not home so I won't pass my diarrhea on to the other cats), but when I'm out in the rest of the apartment I can get in the big litterboxes. Meowmie has to keep scooping so I won't pass the diarrhea on in those!
I got diarrhea because before I came home I lived in a room with some other kittens. We all kept getting diarrhea and passing it back and forth. When one of us would get over it, the next one would pass it on back to her or him. Meowmie is giving me some medication for it, so maybe it will go away soon.
I can climb up on some things, but I can't quite get up on the couch or the bed. A couple of days ago, though, Meowmie was sitting on the couch, and I came up and tried to pull myself up but couldn't quite do it.. so then I sat back on my haunches, stuck my front paws out ahead of me like SuperCat about to go flying, and sailed up and landed right next to her! She was so impressed and excited!
Do you like catnip, Taccoa? I LUUUUVVVVV it!!!!! And I LOOOOOOOOOOVVE food too, like you!
You look like you have long long legs like I do.. and you have a beautiful sweet face like I do too! How old are you? I am about 5 months old.

;) Hello Elmer & Congrats on PT.. My Meowmom joined CH Kitty Club & made me a album on there.. There is a whole lot of us CH babies.. Oh I have pulled up on the sofa three times now.. My problem is if I get there - then its real hard for me to get down unless I fall off.. Meowmom has padded carpet everywhere.. She lets me do as much as I can.. I do hopps kind of like running.. Yes my leggs are long & stiff.. Meowmom works with me everyevening with total body massages.. I act like I dont like But I Love It.. I dont have diarrhea, but it is hard to clean my bottom or my face & meowmom has to help.. I call this true bonding.. There is stepping stools around the house in diff places for my three legged half sister & I use so I can to get to some things.. However meowmom's bed is my next goal to try for.. She has to put me up there & I use the stairs to get down sometimes if I work my legss just right.. Hey I must be fun meowmom gets to tickled with me.. She keeps saying this Oppss Doodles & I still dont know the meaning of this.. I forgot I am 6 1/2 months old.. Oh Elmer when can I get to see your pictures??
Hi Taccoa! I'm so happy to know that you're so happy in your new furever home. One thing is for sure, your Meowmie loves you very, very much. Who couldn't love an adorable little sweetheart like you? What a brave little girl you are trying to climb up on the sofa and bed where Meowmie is. Don't give up though, with time and practice you'll be a real pro at doing all the things you want to do. And you like food? Groucho does too but I think just about all kitties do. How good it must feel to have a nice full tummy! What is your favorite food? Do you have a favorite toy?
It's so great that you have already made a nice kitty friend. Elmer is such a nice kitty and no doubt you both have lots to talk about. Tell you what, Mr. Catmandu gives wonderful parties for all the PT kitties. Groucho and his sweetheart Inka have been to several and have had a blast. ;) My favorite toys are in one of my first pictures {upload not working today} = Gary's knitted catnip ball, the long fluffy blue thing with catnip in it & that funny looking lion.. My favorite food is fresh grilled catfish that meowmom cooks & gives us twice a week & each morning we get each a package of whiskas tender bites {I gobble gobble} & I like meowmix dry fish flavor.. Oh yes my girls have gone to Gary's parties & this one will be a blast with Groucho, Inka & Elmer.. I will be looking forward to the invite & be noting Taccoa of what a blast they are..
Hi Taccoa, it's me, Elmer, again! I don't have any pictures yet. I hope a shelter friend will come over soon and take some digital pictures of me. Meowmie is going to put some film in her old-fashioned camera too and take some pictures of me and my kitty roomies.
My leggs are REALLLLY long! Meowmie says when I stand up with my legs spread or walk around I look like a little colt or fawn (or baby giraffe if I stretch my neck!). sometimes I go running around and I land on both my front feet and then my back legs start swinging behind me! I'm GREAT at chasing toys around! sometimes I fall over when I run, but I'm getting better. Our apartment is all carpeted, so when I fall down I don't get hurt. Except in my private room (which Meowmie calls the "bathroom") and in the "kitchenette" area, but those are both so small I'm not going fast when I fall on them. There are no "stairs" for me to fall down.
I'm working on climbing up on things. I have to get the SuperCat routine down better! I can get down off the couch and the bed okay. There was a little stairway next to the bed for a couple of days, but it was really wobbly so I didn't use it. I can wobble enough as it is!
What's the big deal about all this wobbling anyway? Doesn't everyone get around that way? I can't think of any other way to get around.
That sounds so nice of your Meowmie to give you full body massages! I think if would be nice if my Meowmie would give me some.
Won't that be fun to meet up at one of Uncle Gary's parties? Will you be my date, Taccoa? And maybe aunties Inka and Amy will chaperone!
We are trying to join the CH Kitties club, but Meowmie has been having trouble getting through to Yahoo. I hope we can join our very own clan soon!

Dear Taccoa, your new picture is so cute, and you have some wonderful toys! I love my toys, too. Aren't toys fun? I have a little red tinsel sparkle-ball, and I bat it and chase it and carry it around all over the place.
Uncle Gary Catmandu's Angels are hosting a party in Cancun, Mexico starting this Sunday! Won't that be such fun for a first date? The Catmandu 747 will pick me up in Michigan and you up in Texas, and we'll be off to Mexico!
There are beautiful sandy beaches there, so we'll never have to worry if we'll make it to the litterbox on time! I'll bring lots of sunscreen. My nose is pretty and pinky, and sometimes it's real pale pink and other times it gets all rosie-red. It will be rosie-red all the time if it gets sunburnt! You can use my sunscreen too. And guess what, I have one of those "Birds can fly, so should I" kitty magic carpets too.. We can bring them for beach towels!
Meowmie took a bunch of film-camera pictures of us kitties a couple of days ago. She will get the prints back tomorrow, and they are making a CD of them too. Then, if she can figure out how to get them on Pet Talk, you can see me and my fur-sibs!

Hi Taccoa! Amy here! I am CH like you and I can give you lots of great advice. Advice on how to give your human "that" look that melts them so they will give you extra treats! You also MUST teach them that you would rather DO IT YOURSELF rather than have them treating you like you are helpless... if my Mom puts me on the sofa, I jump right off and climb right back to show her I can do it...It use to hurt her feelings but now she laughs.
They catch on pretty quick as to what litter box you like the best if you are consistant in using the one you like the best. Oh! Careful not to snag your human in the leg or arm when you dig in with the claws to climb up on something.. I got my Mom one night right in the knee when I was trying to get on the bed....how did I know she had her leg so close to the edge? So watch out for that that screaming so suddenly in the middle of the quiet night, it will scear the daylights out of you! Just remember if you are going to fall, to try to fall on something soft. My Mom has comforters folded in front of my recliner and usually a thick blanket folded on the kitchen floor for me and she is really great about piling her dirty clothes with her scent on them, in the hall way for me to rest or nap on..... maybe you could train yours to do that too. If you learn any tricks I haven't mentioned, please let me know.. Us CH'ers have to stick together! Can we be forever friends? Amy

I have also noted here of my independance.. I give her this Roar & she states OH Ok.. I make her think I dont like the evening body massage; but I smile & Love It.. Yes there is carpet everywhere & extra in places.. Of course like you Amy I would fall in the kitchen & so mom put down extra rugs.. I do have my worst & better days.. I still have to let mom know when I want on the bed.. If its in the middle of the night & mom dont hear me; then I will lay in the door way so mom has to step over & of course I get put in the bed.. Hi Amy! I'm Elmer, and I'm a new CH baby here too. My meowmie read about you on Cat Talk so she knew kind of what to expect when she met me, and she took me home!
I was going to write to you to ask if you would be my mentor. Then Taccoa joined in, and we compared some notes and then met up in Cancun as we waited for your mommy to come home. Taccoa is a wonderful, adorable, sweet girl.
You are already giving Taccoa and me lots of great advice, thank you! It is a lot of work to train our people, isn't it..
I have my own special litter box, with mostly high walls but a low entry wall in the front. I have also figured out how to climb in and use the big kitties' boxes. Meowmie has already learned to let me do things on my own. She does know she has to help me up onto the couch and the bed, though. I've been trying to get up on the couch myself, and I keep falling back. But one time I stuck out my front legs before me like SuperCat about to go flying, and I rose up and landed on the couch right next to Meowmie. She was so excited, and so was I! I haven't done that again, though. I don't want to spoil her.
When I want her to do something, I meow and meow and meow. She thinks I have a very loud voice for such a small boy.

Here are pictures of me with my favorite toy. Aunt Poppy is in the background in the first one. The tinsel sparkle-ball is actually hers, but she lets me use it. I love to carry it around and bat it and chase it and tumble after it!
OH ELMER! You are soooo handsome and you look a lot like my big brother and protector Chester. I am glad you saw me at that other place and I hope that will influenced others to bring other CH kitties home! We need to ban together and spread the word that we are just as good as any other kitty, just a little different, but we can love and accept love BETTER than anybody else!!! RIGHT!?
I hate I had to miss Mr. Gary's party! I love his parties but Mama always sends Chester along to keep a eye on us and he is so BORING :rolleyes: ! We can't have any fun with him around so I have to sneak off.. My beau that I meet at those parties is Eli, a VERY handsome CH boy that owns that wonderful lady Queenscoopalot. We tried dancing and everyone thought we were doing a new dance when we would tremble and fall over and they all started doing it too and next thing we knew, the dance floor was full of laughing falling over kitties and we all had a BLAST! I drug my tail all the way home, I was to tired to hold it up anymore! WHAT a party!
Taccoa, my skin sister gives me body massages also and I let her know I LOVE them by purring as loud as I can and grin ear to ear. Does your Mommie brush you or use the grooming tool on you? My Mommie does that and I am in HEAVEN when she does it, I purrrrrr and grin then too!
I nibble all day but before we got our feeding stations, I would fall into my food dish and dump it all over the floor. Being the "Lady" I am, I would always eat it all up without stopping so Mommie wouldn't have to clean it up.. (Showing her I CAN do it myself thank you :rolleyes: !) But now we got the feeding stations and I don't fall over when I eat anymore. If you ever need one, have your Mommie, pm mine and she can tell her how to build one for you. Yes, I play. I love the feathers on the wand thing, Mommie gets in the floor with us every day and plays with that with us (we have 2 of those wands, one chirps like a bird!) We also had a red dot that ran all over the house that we chased but Mommie said something about "batteries" (?) so it don't come to play with us anymore. I play laying on my side. Now and then I play running and chasing but when I use my legs a lot, they get real weak and it takes me days to get the strength back in them. Hay, I got TWO new friends! Now I can brag to my sisters that I have PT friends too!
