I, too, am hopelessly in love with Goldens, so that picture just won my heart immediately!! I don't have a scanner, so I can't share precious puppy pictures of Honey and Lilly, but they were just that cute!!!! But aren't all puppies??? LOL!! I know you're getting excited, L-A. I am excited for you!!

OMG!!! Those are some way adorable puppy pictures!!! They are sooo cute! Don't really have any pictures of Sadie as a puppy!:( Thanks for sharing!:) ;)
Those pictures are sooo cute....they almost make me want a puppy again...notice I said...ALMOST!! lol Tina is just way cute as well as the others. You know with as many Golden lovers there are on this list you would think they would be the most popular breed. I know they're right up there, but I think Labs still have them beat. It always makes me nervous when certain breeds become so popular because they are bred so much that the gene pool is weakened (which is unfortunate for breeders like Candy) and then the shelters are overwhelmed with them.
But the puppy pictures made me smile today and I needed it cuz I'm NOT in a good mood!! lol
Thanks all for sharing them!!
This is cutest picture I have seen, but its my Ginger at 6 week, so I might be showing favorites. :D

Adorable pics, everyone! They are all just gorgeous! Sadly, I don't have any pics of Graham or Kersey because they were both full grown when I got them, although Kersey has a bit of filling out to do so she may not have been 100% full grown, but close enough.
I didn't get the puppy that I so longed for but I got Kersey who is the most cuddly dog I have ever owned. She's perfect and I wouldn't trade her in for all the puppies in the world :)
This is my girl Bella at 8 weeks and only a day or two after we got her. :)

This is a picture of Simba when he was 8 months and 2 weeks... It's not exactly a puppy pic but it's the closest I have of him to a puppy pic... Sorry it is so blurry, it's a picture of a picture.

Oh Yes, and I have to add all of the pics are adorable.
Ginger especially, I'm a sucker for Tan Doggies! ;)
Lablover: Oh how I wish I could slobber all over that GSD!!
Awww, all the pictures are really cute. I wish I could share puppy pictures of my babies but I rescued them as adults. I know my dogs would have been ADORABLE as pups.
Those pictures are all too cute! I have my favorite puppy picture of Drake on my night stand at home. I will have to scan it and post it for you guys to see. He was an adorable lil puppy at 4 months old when we got him.
This is really the only pic of Jo I have scanned as a pup. Shes 6 wks old (the day we brought her home) you can't see it in this pic cause I cut it out, but there was a basketball beside her that was bigger then her.

You are right about the labs being the most popular breed. Here are the AKC registration stats for 2001. I am including GSD because I know there are a lot of GSD lovers on this board too!

I just wanted to add my two cents to the comment of the breakdown of the gene pool for popular dogs. It is more unfortunate for the uneducated person getting a dog from an unethical breeder than it is for a reputable breeder. The uneducated consumer is more likely to purchase a dog from the weaker gene pool of the breed.
In knowing I was going to breed my girl from the start, and knowing what characteristics I wanted, I chose my pup from a very healthy line of working Goldens. I searched for close to a year before I found a breeder in Michigan I was satisfied with and then waited almost 7 months before the pups were born. I also searched for a couple years for a stud dog to breed with although not 100% seriously until about six months before we bred. I turned down several studs because of their health history in the lines they came from. I ended up breeding to a very strong male who carried a outstanding health history.
All breeders have the option to do it this way and would be forced to if the public was more educated. Sadly though, more people are worried about the price they pay for the dog than the health history of the line they get the dog from. I would rather pay a little more up front than to pay a lot in vet bills later!
What adorable puppy pictures!!!! Such beautiful babies you all had.
I wish I could of seen Kia as a puppy. I'm sure she would of melted my heart even more. :D
What cute puppy pics!!!
I was going to post some pics of my babies, but when I previewed the reply it said I couldn't cross post from image station!! Are we losing this site too?!?
This our former dog Chica at seven weeks. We think she was a Lab-Rottie mix. She is "crated" in a basket of old shoes.
http://stranglethecat.com/Uploads/2/91.jpg I really liked this one of Angus when he was a pup!
Amy, I didn't have any problems, strange!
3-greys-and-a-mutt that picture looks like a bunch of teddy bears.. How sweet!!!!!
That picture really made me smile
Anna... Your rottie is soooooooooooooo cute. Both your puppies are charming..
CC... ohh i just love the picture of the pup on the couch!!!
All these pictures are so sweet and it is so nice to see how special our animals are to us.. No matter if they are pure bred or mixed or old or young.. They are our babies!
This is my favorite puppy picture from the litter I fostered this winter.
But I like this one too!
Deb, your picture of Chica looks so much like Duncan!!! What a cutie! I don't have any puppy pics of Duncan but I wish I did. I just bet he was the cutest thing ever...!
These pictures are all absolutely wonderful. You all don't know what you are doing to me :D
All the puppies are so cute! C.C.'s mom - what a great idea to have a matching sofa for your dog!
I have no Sadie puppy pictures because I never had her as a puppy :( . We need an old gray snout thread, she qualifies for that.
