I give my dog dog biscuits or jerky strips (He mostly likes the jerky strips)
my dogs get meaty bone biscuits most of the time! :)
He mostly prefers soft liver, AKC, Bil-Jac, or Authority brand. That's for training. I give him rawhides, pig ears, etc. and bully sticks for fun.
Bailey gets dehydrated liver and cut up fruits and vegetables.
Roscoe's 'cookies' are milkbones - gosh he loves those things. He also gets bacon treats, rawhides, pig ears, and anything else that looks good ;)
Lots of different kinds..
Marrow bones, Alpo Snaps, fruit and veggies, cheese, yogurt,..
The only thing Mickey doesn't like is milkbones.
Lots of different kinds.
Doggie treats we buy at a local petstore by bulk.(milkbones) and rawhides.
They also get fruit, veggies, ginger snaps and porkhocks.
Anything she likes and can keep down. She has problems with the fakey marrow type treats. She's been getting dog-bakery treats lately.
As far as actually cookies go, my dogs get California Natural Health Bars (or Innova, depending on what the better deal is). For training, I use small pieces of apple, cheese, or chicken as those are the only foods Tango will respond to.
My dogs LOVE milkbones, so for around the house cookies they get these. When I'm working on agility or obedience I use hotdogs or cheese.
my 2 love dehydrated liver treats and bones
My pups get homemade treats. Can we say Spoiled?
Milkbones, Canine Carry-outs, Pig Ears (once in a blue moon), and Scooby Snacks. :)
Oh boy.. my dogs are spoiled rotten when it comes to treats. This is what we have in the house at the moment: Deli Fresh roll, RollOver roll, freeze dried beef liver, Blue Dog biscuits, grreat choice biscuits, bark bars, vitalife bars, trumps liver treats, vitalife bones, marrobones, omh treats, and some other treats hiding in my room somewhere. :p A majority of those are their "just because you're cute" treats. I usually use cheddar cheese for agility training (occasionally roll over). They also get a wide variety of homemade treats.
I now have my own meat dehydrater so they get these great treats from real meat that I make!!!!
Visa doesn't like many hard treats. The only ones she will eat are Darford and another kind I buy in bulk, not sure what it is. For training I use soft treats, mostly Pets go Raw sausages and Bone Appetit Training Bites.
Well, we do give her bones and Milkbone dog treats. But her all-time fav is Chew-eez.
Call me nuts, but my dogs eat real MEAT for treats LOL.
I rarely if ever buy treats from the store simply because I don't understand why my dogs would find a peanut-butter-flavored wheat bar appetizing. :p I always have a bit of plain boiled chicken or beef on hand. I've never found a dog who did not enjoy a bit of boiled chicken as a treat.
All of the above! Mine aren't picky.
I prefer to give them treats found at our natural pet food store - mostly sugar, wheat, etc free. However, they do get the sugar treats like Beggin Strips and stuff as gifts or if I have a coupon.
Their favorites are Lakse Kronch, Real Meat Fish & Venison, Salmon skin rolls, Sam's Yams, and Buddy Biscuits.
I also got a great deal on Chicken Soup FTDL's Soul treats, bought 4 bags. They really like those.
summer sausage chunks, veggie chunks, fruit chunks...
I haven't given Spanky any treats, yet. I will probably buy some of the healthier snacks for her that they sell at my workplace.
Has anybody ever tried those different jerky snacks with their pups? They come in a beige and red, beige and green, and two other colours. They are all chicken jerky made from breast with something like glucosamine in one, lavender in another, etc. They are used to achieve different effects.
Edit: Dogswell treats.
Bud's favs... #1 are pigs ears and #2 are Milkbones
Sierra's favs... Anything!!!!
Bandit(grandmas dogs)loves all treats
Since feeding raw my dogs don't get many "treats" like they used to (IE..stuff from the store-pet store). Now they get pork hock, pigs feet and pork cracklings for treats:)
Actually I don't give a whole lot of treats anymore. If I do, then its an apple or banana or some yogurt or something I have laying around the house. Peanut butter is a big favorite, too, hehe.
I give my dog milkbone biscuits, liver treats, rawhide bones (with supervision), and dog cookies. He really hates the new chicken strips I got for him...can't imagine why and although he remains on a dog food diet (actually large breed puppy food since he's not 2 yet) , will beg for people food and tries to con my mom into dipping his cookies in coffee- we can't figure out why he loves it so much & try not to give into his begging.
