We're going to China!!!!

We have been notified of our travel dates to go and bring our baby girl home. We will leave for China on Sunday, Sept. 10. Our appointment with the US Consulate in Guangzhou, China is on September 20, and we will leave China on the 22nd. You can follow our trip on our website:

Woohoo! All that waiting is drawing to an end.... you'll be holding your baby girl in less than a week!!! I am so happy for you - I even have goosebumps just thinking of how ecstatic you must be. I bet you're over and above Cloud 9 right now.

So excited for you! And you're going to China - an amazing country, for the bestest reason! To get your baby girl!

I think Paul's very favorite memory of our arrival in Chna five years ago was the huge sign, in English, over the first escalator we encountered. It just said Be Careful in letters two to three feet high.

As he is always, always telling me that very thing, it delighted him that that was how China greeted me! And sure enough, on our visit to the Great Wall (in Badaling, just North of Beijing), I had both our friend and translator Wang Min in front of me and Paul behind me both telling me "Be Careful!" the whole way up and down!

Oh, we are so exicted for you, for you we will bringing home the very best souvenir of all! Wheeeeeeeee! Kisses to Mary Joyce, and hugs to anyone who has cared for her during the long wait!

Thanks to everyone! We are headed to my in-laws' tomorrow since they are closer to the airport. They will take us in to Atlanta for our flight very early Sunday morning. This will probably be my last chance to post for awhile. Your encouraging words and prayers are greatly appreciated. :D
