LOL, good thread:D
Mine's simple, Zar-ah :)
I just had to laugh at this as I always said my name is like saying:
Is a bell ............LOL or .......Is a belle much cuter LOL
Ash-lee, not too difficult ;)
Tan (as in sun tan) ya Tanya :D not Tonya  lol
Everybody's always pronouncing my name wrong.. I get frustrated.
Same here. If I had a penny for everytime I'm called Zair-argh I would be living a multi-million pound mansion   :pQuote:

lol as my name gets more common and rarly have to correct people anymore, but I used to have to correct EVERYONE, or people would not even try lol
its Shayna, and its pronounced the way its spelled Shay-nuh. not "Shianna" for heaven sakes dont ever call me "Shianna" I have been called that SOOO many times throughout my life lol I dont even know how that heck you get Shianna out of my name lol
Mine is pretty simple...Meg...but I always get asked if I'm sure my name is not Margaret or Megan....now did I just say my name was Meg...I know it's not Margaret or Megan
Mine is difficult for non-Dutch-speaking people...! During our 2 years stay in the USA, not 1 person pronounced ot correctly... :(
So it is LUT The problem is that the "u" is NOT pronouced like the "ue" in "due"!
For those who ever learned some German, the "u" in my name is pronouced exactly like the¨ü" ("u" with "umlaut" on it( two dots).
Maybe we better start a thread where we actually pronounce our name, so everybody can hear it!
Ooh, yeah! I'll edit the title, everybody speak your name! :DQuote:

Mine is, as Lut also said, hard to explain for non spanish-speaking people... It's not stressed in the first syllable (like you would normally pronounce Natali) It's stressed in the last syllable, and it's actually written Natalí...
I'll try to make a voice clip later...
Mine is also pronounced Dev-inn and I constantly get called Dev-ANN (which is kind of understandable) or Dev-ON...which is pretty weird, considering I don't even spell my name with an 'o'.
My name is easy! DA-vid. I like to be called Dave, but don't ever call me Davie OR Davey! I hate both of those names! It's my Last name everyone butchers, that's why I'm David P!
Sarah. I'm always called Sair-uh or Say-ruh. Either one is fine.
My nickname is Dani, pronounced Dan-ee. :)
My real name is Danielle, it is pronounced Dan-ee-elle :)
Julianne. It's pronounced like Julie-Anne.
You wouldn't believe how many times my name has been mispronounced. :p
But, most people call me Julie. ;)
Mine is pretty common and spelled like, Alyssa.
Pronouced A-lis-sa. People ALWAYS call me Alice or Alicia. :p
Mine is pronouned DI-ana or Die-anna, just like Princess Di. It's spelled Diana.
Amber......Am-ber or maybe Am-bur would be clearer.
I haven't heard anyone get my name wrong. :)
Ni-cole pretty easy not Ne-cole
Someon at a camp a few year ago, her name was Siobah (I may have spelt it wrong) and it was pronounced Shh-Vaan
Syd-Nee (Sydney)..really not that hard, just think of Australia
Very rarely do people pronounce my name correctly. It's not that hard. ;) :p
It is Angelique. It is pronounced as Anne-juh-leek. People used to call me Angel all the time and it would irritate the crap out of me now I really don't care. :p My last name and my maiden name get messed up all the time. My middle name is pretty normal, Noel.
It's Kath-Leen ( Irish :D ) but I am not red headed!!!! :D
Just a llttle on the lean side. ;)
Kris - tah not too hard ;)
I think you have a pretty name. :)Quote:

I always thought your name was Dorothy, :p.Quote:

I do some times get car-ee.
When I was in school I on occasion was called Carl by substitute teachers because they thought the i at the end of my name was an l, they read "Karl" instead or "Kari".
Mine isn't mis-pronounced very often :) . In English it's pronounced Mich-elle.
In french it's more of a mee-shelle.
Oh, I get it. I thought you were making a joke.Quote:

Mine is easy enough, Craig. Pronounced just like it is spelled. Whenever someome takes my name for a reservation or something I have to say "Craig, with a C, not Greg." People also spell it Kreg a lot and I have no clue where that comes from.
The one that use to drive me bonkers is my last name: Mayer pronounced May-or, not My-er. Now I just respond to either because it happens all the time. Even close friends still say Meyer. I blame Oscar Mayer Weiner for the entire mispronunciation. And yes, school was a blast; I know every version of the Oscar Meyer songs.
