Welcome Dominic James!!! *2nd Picture Update*

I just got off the phone with my mom, as she and my dad are making a mad dash down I-75 to welcome their 2nd grandchild. Christy (Dakota's Mommy) didn't call quite early enough for them to make it all the way to Cincinnati before the big guy was born, and only made it to the hospital herself with about a half hour to spare!!

Dominic was born at 6:30 this morning, and weighs 8 lbs, 15 oz and is 20 1/2 inches long.

Congratulations Christy, Brian and big sister Jasmine!!!

I'm sure my mom will post pictures as soon as she is able!

WELCOME TO THE WORLD DOMINICK JAMES!!!! I almost typed Little Dominick James and then I realized how silly that would be! :p You are a big boy and everyone's pride and joy. I think we all thought that your mommy had two of you in there! I know she is feeling a lot better now! LOL! Happy happy birthday to you sweetie. A new Pet Talker has arrived! ;)

Hi, I am home again and quite tired! But boy am I happy! What an exciting weekend. First off, I told Amy how to spell Dominick wrong, they are not using the k on the end so it is Dominic.

Next, I have the most beautiful, handsome, amazing grandson in the world. It was just awesome to be there so soon after his birth and to get to hold him and take care of him.

For those of you who do not remember, Saturday was the 1st anniversary of the funeral of our son, Rob. I really didn't think I wanted this baby born this week but God has his own plan and as Amy says instead of this being another year that Rob isn't here for things it will be Dominic's first year to be here for those things. NOt that we will ever forget our son nor does this wonderful child take the place of our boy but he sure makes our lives a lot happier with a brighter future. Who could ask for more?

I am really tired so I will return tomorrow morning with more pictures and more "tales". Thanks everyone who supports our family through its ups and downs. Pet Talk is a great community to be a part of.

She was so cute because the new twins had on id bracelets just like mommy, daddy and baby brother AND there was an id bracelet for her the new mommy of the twins. She was so happy and proud that she was just like everyone else.

What great pictures. I love the way everyone made sure to keep Jasmine so included. Twins and ID bracelets and all. :D

Diana, God works in mysterious ways, and he wanted you to be celebrating this weekend instead of mourning. Like you say, it's not that you will forget Rob, or that Dominic will take his place, but you will never be able to be totally sad on the anniversary of his death again. I never knew Rob, but somehow I think he might like it this way. :)

The those new pictures are great!! Jasmine is going to be such a big help with her new brother!!!
