I suppose I'll say they aren't bybs either. But they aren't reputable. Both pups were from accidental litters.

from www.anticruelty.org
Happy and Blair are from the same breeder, I would not call her a BYB, but she is definatly NOT a "good" breeder.
Misty is from a cattle ranch, they breed cattle and horses, and they used to be sher-pei breeders, but in Mistys case they were just a ranch who needed BCs to work the cattle :p
Ripley and Perky are both from the humane society.
Tango is from a friend's accidental litter but she is by no means a BYB (as some would automatically label her...).
Tia was born at our house after we rescued Jesse (her mom) form a horrible situation.
Morgan & Winston are both from breed specific rescues.
All of my future dogs will be from ethical breeders and some from breed rescue...maybe a couple shelter mutts too, but I really hate the Humane Society and shelter over here...
My Sadie and Rita are both from breeders... I really had no choice. :( :o
Simba was from the SPCA, The girls were from the Humane Society.
jess is from a reputable breeder. :D
Payson came from the worst place ever. I got him at animal control, it was the saddest place I'd ever been to. We have a few shelters in town and they are all really nice. But animal control was not a nice place. I've heard that it's been taken over by some new people, so I'd like to go back someday and see if it's any better.
All 3 of my dogs were from breeders, 2 from show breeders and one from a 'hobby' breeder
Mocha came from a BYB. We knew to not get a dog from a pet store and to make sure the breeder treated their animals well, but he was, without a doubt, a backyard breed. Mocha's not even purebred, let alone a perfect example of her breed.
When we decided to get Panna, we did more research. We knew that she had to be a rescue, and fortunately there weren't many small dogs in rescues around here at that time. Her owner had died and she had been passed around and the person who was taking care of her wanted her gone before her end-of-the-month vacation. She was going to be taken to a high-kill shelter, so we flew her up here.
Cannelle came from a rescue we foster for. We weren't looking for another dog but the rescue asked us to take her since she needed a lot of work, and how could we say no?
We adopted Beanie from Harmony Haven. It was a cat rescue when we adopted him, but it's now a cat/dog rescue. Very nice people.
I got Gracie from a breeder in Nashville when i lived there. I don't think the breeder has Sibes anymore. I think she just has Saint Bernards now.
Frisk- From breeder, yes, he's a mutt, but the litter he was from was a completely accident. And I believe it, since it was 6 or so years ago when the whole "designer" dog trend wasn't strong yet (atleast it wasn't strong around here...plus there wasn't another single littler of mutts there).
Ethan- a no-kill rescue organization.
Skylar- the humane society in another town.
I will be getting my Chi pup from my aunt. She's a reputable breeder. :)
Kai came from a breeder in BC. He's a group and BIS judge and a total pyscho. He told us NOT to neuter Kai, even though we were not allowed to breed him. He never sent us the papers.. I'm actually mailing off my complaint against him tomorrow. He should receive a lovely fine for it. :D And well, Kai barely even looks like a Sheltie. There's show quality and pet quality, but even most pet quality Shelties still resemble the breed.
Kaedyn was adopted from the Vancouver Animal Shelter that I volunteer at.
My Groenedael puppy will come from (Wolfsoul's) Visa's litter. Without a doubt, a very reputable breeder. :p
Roscoe came from a shelter :)
A.R.F. An all-breed animal rescue organization.
Bandit(know lives with my grandparents)he got form a puppy shop.I want to adopt a greyhound or get a shelter dog.
Kodie came from a rescue. All the dogs are in foster homes so i wouldnt consider them a shelter. Lucy came from a rescue also but they have a shelter that they keep dogs and cats at.
My RB dog Buddy from Indianapolis Humane Society.
Smokey from Southside Animal Rescue, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Maggie from Second Chance Animal Rescue, also in Indianapolis.
All my cats were strays from around my neighborhood.
Niki is from the Humane Society
Bozy is from the ARPH rescue
Cody, sadly, is a result of me wanting a puppy so I bought her from a breeder.
Buddy is from the Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Services.
Muskwa came from a breeder--who no longer breeds at all. Earle came from a litter that Muskwa sired for the same breeder.
Sleet, Paxil, Sundin, & Pingo were all from other mushers.
I stole Bandit from a former neighbor.
Everyone else is from the local Humane Society, most of them are foster failures.
Goddess Goofball is from a show kennel and was a gift, Rusty the amazing Felon is from a Doberman rescue all my others have been from rescue or My own breeding back when I showed rotties. The cats came from an abandoned house when my son founf them on Easter day (feral kitties mom got hit by a car) everyone is neutered. The snakes came from a rescue as did our parrots. So we voted other........
Marta came from a breeder, Adele from a shelter, and Vallis from a rescue organization. :)
Sadie came from a person who rescued her mom and then found homes for all her puppies.
Cincy came from a farm, where the owner's couldn't quite figure out how their unspayed female kept getting pregnant
Spot came from the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley
Skylar came from a breeder in South Carolina. I wouldn't exactly call her a BYB. We are still friends with her, and talk to her on occasion.
Deebo came from a breeder in TN. They are BYB's. They have way too many dogs. They take very good care of all the dogs they have and call the people who by their pups just to check up on them. But I wouldn't trade my little man for anything in the world.
Isabelle came from a horrible disgusting BYB. We bought her to get her out of the filth she was living in. We are very lucky she has not been sick.
Prissy was rescued from the road. She almost got hit by several different cars. After all attempts failed at finding her owners, we have decided to keep her. We have a feeling she might be pregnant. So, she will be going home with my girlfriend and I to South Carolina when we go back. My mother wants to keep her. My mom has no clue how to birth pups if she is indeed pregnant, so she is sending her back with us until they come to visit us in SC in September.
Morgan (new pit pup ), obviously came from a BYB. She's only 4 weeks old and they said that since she was eating hard food, she was ready to go to her new home. They said if we didn't take her now, they would just sell her to someone else. I even asked them to hold her until she was 8-10 weeks old. Morgan is a co-ownership thing with my friend.
Annie came from a lady who I rescued a pregnant pug/boxer mix from. I saw Annie there when I went to pick up Baby (the pregnant dog) and asked if she was trying to find a home for her too. She said no, but if she ever decided to do so, she would let me be the first to know. Low and behold, when Baby's pups were 1 week old, she calls and said that she wants to get rid of Annie. Annie was 3 months old when I got her.
Bailee is Annie's daughter. We did not know Annie was in heat, and we were babysitting my mom's friends double dapple dachshund for her while she was out of town. He got her pregnant. We didn't even know Annie was pregnant until about 4 days before she had her puppies because she was showing no signs of it at all. She started getting big, and when I rubbed her belly, the babies would start moving around. Bailee was the only girl in the litter, and the only black and tan dapple one, so we decided to keep her. Annie and Bailee both live with my parents. Both Annie and Bailee were spayed at the same time, so there is no chance of any accidents with them anymore.
Jesse came from a lady who bred her ESS on purpose, and I think was trying to get into breeding ESS's for a business, but I am not sure. She could've been a byb. Honestly, I never knew about them before I became part of PT.
Sammy sadly came from a pet store in Grand Forks, ND (it is actually a pretty good pet store, the puppies are all vacinated, and healthy, tanks are clean, but I still don't want animals from them.)
Jemi' came from one of my friends who rescued her mom. The mom was going to be PTS because she was bred, and my friends stepdad jumped in and saved her! They couldn't keep both of Sadie's (the mom) puppies, so I got one:)
Steph, Jes, Sam, and Jemi'
most of my past dogs have come from the Humane society, or they found me as strays. But Duke came from a family that couldnt properly care for him, and Jake came from a friend of mine who had an accidental litter.
Sasha came to me by way of the Calgary Humane Society, 11 years ago next month.
they all are from accidental litters of "free" adds in the paper. :o
Ginger was my grandma's dog and my mom inherited her from my grandma when she passed away in 2003, but she was from an accidental litter when my grandma got her.
I got my RB Disney from the county shelter.
Micki and Mini were from an accidental litter. My mom knew that I wanted a JRT and one day I was staying with my Aunt and my mom picked me up and took me to these peoples house. Micki and Mini were the only two left out of 5. We took 'em both. I really wish I would've researched a bit more and found a real JRT from a reputable breeder.
Kyra is Mini's baby, my dad grew up believing that a female that is allowed one litter of pups will be a better dog. I was so angry, and I think they learned their lesson. My dad was hoping to make some money but we ultimately gave the pups away to people we knew so we didn't make any profit, and had to deal with a pup with problems (kyra). So, I'm happy to say that they gave up on the whole puppy idea for the future!
Shadow came from my Aunt who bred Rotts for many years. She was definately a BYB, she planned on keeping Shadow and her sister Cocoa but her husband became sick so she dropped Shadow off at our house, not sure what happened with Cocoa.
Jack was from a rescue. Some people were taking him to the shelter when an old man asked if he could have him. He brought him to the rescue and we scooped him up just a couple days later!
Mandy - shelter
Nova - BYB
Luka - humane society (run more like a rescue than a shelter)
Buck - reputable breeder
i got Malakai from a reputable breeder in my area
chloe also came from a breeder, the litter was an accident, they bred Treeing walkers and Red tick (english) coon hounds for hunting, chloes dad (a red tick) aparently jumped the fence and got to chloes mom (a walker)..i know for sure that it wasnt intentional, both her parents had health tests done and were working dogs
I adopted Sierra from a GSD rescue and Buddy from a kill shelter.
Daisy, I adopted from the SPCA in Houston exactly 3 months ago. She is my family now. I'm completely attatched; she rawks. :D :D

So when my (ex)roomate's dog had to be rehomed, she lent us Visa so that we could have some protection and I could handle Visa in agility. I fell in love with her quickly and Marla gave her to me under the condition that she got breeding rights for the first litter (IF Visa's behaviour improved, which it did immensley). So that's where I got Visa. My next puppy is from Visa's litter. :)
Nebo came from a BYB. Not a particularly horrible one, just a lady who happened to have two siberian huskies and she bred them. I highly doubt she health tested the parents, only one of the parents was AKC registered (the other was supposed to but she didn't get the papers or something like that...either way Nebo is not registered).
Reggie was also from a BYB, well I guess...he has AKC papers I have no idea if the parents were show quality, but I don't think Reggie is even close. I was a kid when we got him and knew nothing of good and bad breeders. A co-worker of my dad's bred schnauzers and Reggie was the last pup in the litter that they couldn't find a home for. They gave him to us for free.
My sister bought Sydney, I don't know anything about the breeder other than Syd was the last pup in the litter again. She has papers, I have no idea if her parents were tested or shown or anything like that. We just ended up with her somehow lol, we didn't go out and buy her.
pet shelter, animal regulation in ft. lauderdale florida
Sylvia was from a pet store before I knew better.
Harley was from a shelter.
Morty was from a foster mom.
Jimmy was a rescue.
