Do you remember Rocky, the sick Rottie? (new pics)

He's still doing fine (at least under the circumstances, he was diagnosed with an untreatable spleen tumor last Christmas). he's eating and loving, and still enjoying his life.

But he's showing a strong tendency of running away lately; he's following the doggie ladies downhill and was picked up downtown by the police several times lately. :( The last time, my parents even had to pick him up from the animal shelter. Seems that he still wants to have some adventures in his old age (he's 11,5). This is where he's living; in the forest where my mother and her fiancé have a restaurant: www.tillyschanze.de

Aw! Im so glad he's still alive and happy. Did the vet say what age he was likely to live to? He looks so regal in those pictures. Rocky, you still look good for your age! :)

When the tumor was diagnosed last December, the vet gave him 2 weeks - up to six months. Rocky seems to have planned to proove that the vet was wrong. :)

He is gorgeous. I'm so happy that he seems to still be doing pretty well! I just hope the silly boy decides to stop going for his little joy walks without permission. ;)

I am glad to hear that he is still doing well (all things considered) and living the good life.

He's beautiful, I hope he doesn't keep getting out, though. That would be awful to lose him to something preventable, after all that he's gone through and is fighting for. He really is very handsome!

about the tumor,is thereany other organs involed????? if there's not they can remove his spleen and he can live for many years. i had a german shepherd years ago that had the same problem and she was 11 and she lived years after ,and her spleen ruptured right when the vet was cutting her open.so talk to your vet and see what he or she has to say ok good luck and let me know what happens. :) :)

Oh I must say that Rocky is looking wonderful. I'm still amazed at the lack of gray on his muzzle. He looks like he should be around 6 or so, sure not over 11! They are so lucky to still have the big guy around. I'm very happy for them.
