No I never let him off leash...we do have a large fenced back yard he can run in of course but when we're away from home he's always on a leash. He is usually quite well behaved but huskies are well known to run off, I just don't want to risk it. Plus he's extremely interested in small animals, if he saw a rabbit or something (which there was a ton of) he'd totally take off after it. He's quite independent, I know we have a bond and he loves me but he's not a "velcro dog." He knows the "come" command and I use it often at home in the yard but I think the selective hearing would come into play if he was chasing a critter. ;)
