Being foundlings...I have no birthday to celebrate for either Eddie or Edwina. And I'm not good at Gotcha Days ( I am not even sure of my wedding anniversary. I know the month and the year....and it is one of two dates...I just am never sure which.... :rolleyes: :rolleyes: )
But.... I know May 2 is the day both of them were Cat of the Day....just don't ask me which years.... :D :D :D :D
So....happy May 2 to my sweet babies.....

I am like you when it comes to dates! If I am lucky enough to remember the month and date, I can not remember the year. The ONLY reason I remember the year I moved back to La. is because I was just leaving for Florida to pack up my stuff when the planes hit to towers on 9/11 and I couldn't decide if I should continue on with my trip or turn around and not go.

I remember Eddie's gotcha day like it was yesterday. It was June 20, 2003. Can you believe it's almost 3 years already? :eek: Of course, there could be some debate as to the "officialness" of that date because that was the date I dropped him off, but it was Sunday, June 22, 2003 when I got the call asking "Would you mind if we kept him for a little longer?" The rest is history. ;) :D :D Eddie is still living the longest weekend visit ever. :D

If there are Any Cats that were born to be Cats Of The Day,it was Eddie and the Light in JJJ3s Life HH Lady Edwina Rose.
They look so Great and thats wonderful that they are getting closer.

Edwina really is sweet, and oh so soft. I'm glad she is willing to pose in all her hats for us - what style she has! ;)
You know my favourite is Eddie, he is simply gorgeous! I remember very well when you got him, I was on pins and needles that weekend. :eek: I SO hoped he would charm his way in and befriend Edwina. It took a while, but it was worth it! :D

I understand about dates and lack of memory! It is hard when there are so many in a family. I have 4 older sisters, all married. 27 nieces and nephews (including their spouses) and 10 great nieces and nephews.... and a set of twin nephews and another single baby (sex unknown!) on the way! It is just toooooo hard to keep track of all of that, although I try my best. No one gets mad if their special day is forgotten as they understand! :rolleyes:

I'm come by my lack of sentimentality for dates legitimately. My father tells the story of when he was a boy. One night at dinner he announced a realization that had just come to him. It had been his birthday a few weeks before. Neither he, his mother, father, or siblings had remembered! :D
One of my favorite stories and pictures of the whole "The E's" threads is when Eddie tried to come up from the cellar and HH said so simply in the caption to the picture "Get back, Basement Boy". Poor Eddy :eek: heh heh heh, who had the last laugh ;)

oh HAPPY day!! How sweet that they can share a special day!! :D They are both so adorable .... and I always love hearing about their adventures!
Hee, hee, you noticed that too? ;) :D I also noticed how dirty he was. In the tummy roll shot, you can see his tummy is not the pristine white it is now, and in the one with his front paw hanging off the front of the chair, you can see how dirty his paw is. Poor little boy. :( I also remember that his dirtiness is one of the first ways I knew he was a real special boy. Before I dropped him off by you I wanted to clean him up a bit (first impressions and all). Knowing he had all his claws, there was no way I was going to attempt a full bath, but I did try to clean his front feet in the sink. He fought it, but not once did he "pull a claw on me." That's when I first started realizing just what a special laid back kinda guy he is.......which has ultimately come in handy with his dealings with HH. :DQuote:
