From this evening to Sunday while their Mum goes in for her "procedure" - spare a thought for my sanity (especially when I do the school run and have to confirm to their teacher that I am, indeed, Nanny Chicken...........)

There is a saying that comes to mind: "Maybe it IS everyone's fault you are where you are now - but if you stay there, that's YOUR fault." You might run that by her.
Also - if the doctors knew her history - could they not enforce some kind of counselling? What if you or her dad offered to go with her?
Or could one of you, or a court, get power of attorney and enforce getting the tubs tied? Cruel - but the alternatives are even more so!

Forgot just how much work is involved with little people! I'm shattered and still got at least one more day to go................

Getting to the end - what an excellent Nanny Chicken you are. Don't envy what you're dealing with. But proud of you that you're doing it. Funny comment that little girl "cheats".
Hang in there, those two children need the stability you are offering.
So how did everything go?
They're here for one last evening - going home tomorrow with new pyjamas, slippers, wellies, smoke free clothes and bedding.............They have been little stars (although I won't be doing it again for a very long time ;) )

I'm lucky I guess inasmuch as I have only one grandkid who comes to stay now and then, although she does come here from school around 3 times a week, and she is good kid too. But I will say this, have as much fun as you can with them, while you can. Turn around and they will all grown up and off doing their own thing, just like my eldest grankid is.
