My Dimming Star [II]
we're home now, don't have any much strength left to say but I'll only say this much for now and I will come back when I stop crying. sorry for the waiting. :(
star was diagnosed with chronic IBD (imflammatory bowel disease) and mainly, renal disease/kidney failure. :( she's being monitored under subquefluids right now with me. I've known two friends who had their cats with kidney failure, they both didn't make it in a few weeks.. that scares me the most. :(

(click on her for star's original story)..
all I want.. is this shinning star, my girl back! :(
again, thank you so much everyone for all of your supportive stars.

I am so sorry, I can only keep sending positive thoughts and hope she gets better.
-
Please Star pull through for your Meowmie!! We have lost to many lately.

Gina, please remember that my Puddy was diagnosed w/renal failure and it didn't look good for her at all. She was in the hospital for 6/12 days the first time and 5 1/2 days the second time. She had surgery and started subQ fluids every other day, then every 3 days, then every 4 days, now she's on them once a week. And Puddy is 12 years old w/birth defects. She's doing really well, so much so that I'm able to go away on a business trip tomorrow for 3 days, knowing that she's in good hands w/my house/cat sitter. I know you're upset and sad and want your little girl to be well. God, it hurts us so much to see our little ones suffer. But know that Puddy pulled through and Star can, too. Don't give up because of the words 'renal failure'. Miracles can and do happen every day. I'm praying for you both.
Blessings,
Mary

:( I am so sorry Gina. I truly hope she is able to make it through this and have several more years to come.
-
Prayers and positive thoughts on the way for your precious Star and ((((((HUGS)))))) for you Gina.

Gina, I'm so sorry I missed the original thread as I would have added my purrayers there. I'll instead add MANY here in hopes that your lovely girl can be comfortable and stay with you a while longer. God will call her when He needs a special angel to help guide all our kitties over The Bridge. Give her lots of gentle kisses and tell her she's such a beautiful girl who will always have a place in your heart. It breaks my heart that they can't be here longer. :( (((HUGS))) Jan

Don't give up yet!! Sub Q fluids do wonders!! We are pulling for you Gina and sweet Star!!
-
Keeping good thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.
-
I'm so sorry to hear this.:( Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent her way.

I'm so sorry. I don't get over here much. Maybe a PT miracle will occur and Star can be with you longer. I've copied your stars and will add them to my sig.

Gina, I want to second Medusa. CRF (chronic renal failure) is no longer an immediate death sentence. Many kitties can survive for years with sub-Q fluids and the right diet.
PT cats who survived for many years are Catsnclay's Yoshi and T&P'mom's Tubby.
And I hope my Filou.
There is a very good website. Here it is:

Don't give up hope. After this diagnosis I would rather have some hope!:)
