He does enjoy the yard so, and when he's been around checking everything out, he'll chew some grass - and then later, he'll most likely deliver a hairball, and it has to be on the carpet. :rolleyes:

We met the caretaker who also has a cat, he knows Fister well and don't mind at all he's in the yard. :)

One of the most wonderful things about cats is the 'door game'.
When Ed wants to move from house to house he does the same.

"The eat grass and urp on the carpet" is an Edwina specialty. I hear her start and run with paper to put under her...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

So good to see Fister outside enjoying the lovely weather -- and the grass!

MacGyver envies Fister! I live very near the hills and mountains, within a block to a half mile, and cats that are let out, many times, don't come back because of coyotes and other animals. It's okay, though. My boys are used to being inside and one of them is actually scared of the outdoors. Still, my Mac would love to take a neighborhood stroll from time to time.

Juke Joint Joseph :love:has snuck out three times and the last two times hes been good as gold waiting by the front door for me to let him in.
Maybe I should let him out but there an agressive Dog next door who barks at him, and would hurt My Poor Old Cat in a fight.

I have the same cow here, but brown tabby instead of orange :D I have a different strategy from Edwina's secretary: I run at the first sign, grab Peppito and move him a few meters away in order to save the carpet ;)
On the opposite, Jasmine almost never throw up.

Adorable Mr Fister! How nice to see you in action, springing around like a kitten you are in that last video. :love: You are a lucky boy having that nice yard to roll around.

Fister sure enjoys the outdoors.:) Most of my cats would be afraid to go outside.

Fister is WELL behaved about "asking" to go out. Pinot is a lot more vocal, and, since the slider is usually open exposing the screen door at this time of year, it's not unusual to find her hanging by her claws on the screen! She has to wait more, though, as we walk with her outside, she has to wait for her escort to be ready.

As far as the "urp"ing - Pinot doesn't do that, thank goodness! :) She eats bugs, not grass, I guess they digest better! :p

Although Fister has me dancing to his tune most of the time, he won’t always get his way! :p But he is actually quite the civilised boy these days... if I don’t open the door, he’ll just go and have a snack and then back to bed.

Fister is lucky that the people working in the yard love cats, so they don’t mind at all he’s down there, and although he does stop and look out the gate to the street, he’s become a bit of a funk in his old age, so he won't go out there - children and dogs could suddenly appear! :eek:

Lut, when you come, I think we have to plan it so Fister is in the yard when you arrive, or you won’t see him at all - unless you want to crawl around on your knees to look under my bed. :D

I have to agree with Pinot's mom that you are very polite about asking very nicely to go outside unlike my cat Milly.
She demands that she gets to go out NOW and even tries to open the door herself. One of these days I wouldn't be surprised if she did open it herself, she is a very smart and very determined girl.
Like Pinot, Milly has to wait until her escort is ready to take her out, she isn't allowed to go out on her own and Izzy wants to go out when Milly goes out too.
They both love to eat the grass and patrol the yard and garden.
Usually after 10-15 minutes they are both happy to go inside again and take a nice long nap.
Only once has Milly barfed up grass in the house, that was when I had picked her up to carry her through the door and she barfed on the rug by the kitchen door as soon as I put her down.:p

Fister is much more polite than my guys. My guys do the mad dash, which is then followed by the 4 year old scream, which is then followed by the mom's instruction, "close the door!". Fortunately, mine go down 4 steps and stop at the grazing field, aka front yard. Monte actually hides under a bench on the porch waiting for a perfect opportunity. :rolleyes:

The urping things beats all odds. I have 90% hardwood. Where does the urp end up? On the long tassled rug in one of our bedrooms. :eek: As gross as it sounds, I leave it there until it dries up. Much easier clean. :o

Fister makes sure all other kitties in the garden know that the bench and table belong only to him.
His meow is very similar to Tigris' who also tells us clearly what he needs.
