After the last post on a thread, I notice the words Tags on the left and Edit tags on the right. How am I supposed to use these options?
Now, as I'm composing this thread, at the bottom, I see where I can add up to five tags.

They are part of an small upgrade, part of the social networking features. They are for sites to easily pick things up - sites like Digg. I am not completely sure how they work yet, I'll have Paul explain more.
I, too, have not a clue about the tag feature. I just noticed it today. I guess I am not the only person still living in the dark! What is a tag and why and how do we use it here?
It didn't exist until today.
I noticed these today also. I was going to ask about them, but I'll just
wait for Paul's explanation.
:) I as well noticed them today.. Come on Paul to explain please..
I can no longer use the color option. When I click on the A, a tiny white box pops up but no color selections. I can still do the colors by hand though.
What happened?
Hmm, let me try - no - it just chooses black. We'll look into that as well.
Tags are a new system to help users find threads that are of interest to them. When you create a new thread, you can add tags - for example, the pet that the post refers to, or the specific issue it is about - to the thread. We will try it out for a time, and see if people find it helpful. They copied this feature from "tag clouds" you've seen on sites like Flickr.
If it gets too annoying, we can always turn this feature off.
Colors now work!
Well, I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one that didn't understand tags. :)
I don't have a clue either so guess you aren't alone.
Did I miss the intro for the "Bookmarks" block?
Gollie, go out to feed da Burds, and there's a new option when ya get back!
Tags, if used diligently by everyone, helps find topics when you do a search.
If not used by everyone, it will till help you find something you posted in the past, using tags you set up.
Thanks Karen and Paul for getting the colors back!!! :D
