My Badger
My dear Badger died last night. I know all the good things I should be thinking about, my hubby Baker and our girl Cheeky Bitch, and buddy Steve and his Sugar are getting ready to go camping with Badger now up there across The Bridge. Badger loves camping. I wish I could say I felt numb but that would be a luxury right now. This hurts like Hell. Val, give Duke an extra hug from me.

I am so sorry.. :( You have my deepest sympathy. Rest in peace Badger.

My dear friend, I just got off the phone with you and now I've broken down completely. :( :( I know only too well the pain that comes with losing a furchild. Here's a picture that Laurie has given me permission to post.

Don't be put off by the teeth.
Laurie, I'm sending you big {{{hugs}}} and I sure wish I could be there to help you through this. I'm glad you have lots of family and friends around you at this difficult time.
RIP Badger. I'm saddened that I never got to meet you. Have fun camping and don't steal all the fire-roasted weiners.

I am so very sorry. I believe I met your Badger in PA a few years back. He was one sweet dog. I know the pain of losing a dog and I hope you are doing okay. (((HUGS))) Laurie. I am so sorry :(

:( Da**it, I never know what to say. I am just no good at this. I can empathize, and, I'm sorry that you're hurting and that your friend is not with you.

RIP Badger, say Hi to all of the other PT pups at the RB.

Laurie, I am very sorry for your loss. He was obviously a very special boy. RIP Badger.

Oh Laurie, I'm so sorry. As you know, I don't get to the dog side much so I never really "knew" Badger, but I know the pain you are experiencing right now and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
{{{hugs}}} to you and Godspeed to Badger. :(

I'm sorry about Badger, may he rest in peace. :(

Badger was a complete sweetheart of a dog, and a huge sucker for bellyrubs. At the slightest hint from a nearby human, he'd roll over and present a luxuriously furry tummy to be rubbed. He was a real gentleman when we met him in Pennsylvania, and had just even been to the groomer so we could see him at his prettiest.
Oh, Laurie, I know it hurts, and it will for a time. How about you take a while this weekend, get yourself a clean notebook (or open a new word document) and write down all the Badger stories you can think of. Your grandsons have grown to be young men in Badger's presense, and I am sure they would regard a book of Badger tales as a priceless treasure. And as you write them out, you can think of all the happy memories, and maybe feel a little better.
Oh, pretty blue Badger boy,
Nowhere as fierce as your namesake
Softest fur and silly tifted toes,
Guardian of Laurie's heart, home and family
Rest in peace, sugar boy,
Restored now to the vigor of your youth
And watch over you family, still,
From your spot at the Rainbow Bridge.
We love you.

Oh Laurie {{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}
My heart just sank when I saw this title. :(:(:(
I was one of the honored few pet talkers that got to meet this wonderful boy. And it was MY pleasure.
Laurie, I will pray that your pain can move on to fond memories because that is what Badger would want.

Two pictures that featured Badger from our Pet Talk PA gathering:
Me, Jenluchenbach and Charlie in the back, Badger and Laurie in front - notice only Badger was looking at the camera.

Same crowd plus Jenny (Laurie's daughter-in-law), as Badger displays his penchant for bellyrubs:
