I guess you'd have to call them the "tites" (better than the Tennessee Oilers, anyway!) Did they really let the Jets beat them last night? I turned it off at 10, when they were 2 touchs behind.
The Cowboys to the playoffs? I had gotten used to thinking they could lose to any team.
Don't give up hope. I think they still have the capacity to lose it all :) Don't get me wrong --- I am a long time Cowboys fan and am hopeful Parcells can give them the impetus that's been lacking the last few years. It's just that I'm afraid to hope too much for fear I'll jinx any good that might come along. You see them one week looking great and then next week they're pathetic. THis IS something to be grateful for. Previously they were consistently pathetic!!!! :D GO 'BOYS!!!!!!Quote:

I got this from a friend of mine. You can do it once a day. The soup will go to feed the homeless and support your team at the same time. The goal is 5 million cans and they have over 2 million now. My Seahawks are WAY down the list at 24 when I voted today.
FREE SOUP FOR THE HOMELESS
An easy way to make a difference this Holiday Season
Campbell’s is donating a can of soup to the needs for every person that goes to their web site and votes for their favorite NFL team. Go to the site and its right there, very easy to do. It will only take a few seconds of your time to fill some empty tummies with warm soup this winter.
You can visit the site once a day.

It wouldn't let me do it. It kept saying retry your vote. Is the gibberish code case-sensitive?
I got the same message...
Of course I voted for the Raiders.......
so that should disqualify me for any good I try to do.
It worked for me! It is good to see Campbell's doing this, even if it is to avoid paying taxes. I wish it was as easy for individuals to decide where their tax dollars go!
Go, Titans! (and Cowboys???)
I voted for the Cowboys and all went smoothly. Pretty neat project! Boy, the Packers fans are running rampant!!!! Was it 300,000+ clicks? Vikings had a lot of support, too. We actually hear quite a bit about the Vikings and Purple Pride here in San Antonio cause this is owner Red McCombs hometown. For Viking fans everywhere that might be concerned Red would try to move the team to SA, I"ll betcha that will never happen. SA is a big town but not a lot of $$ here and Red McCombs is nothing if not a brilliant businessman. Can't see him making a sentimental but money losing decision over one that puts more change in his pocket.
How did I get off on that?
Anyway, Mahayana, I'm with you on the Titans. They're still so much the Oilers to me. Have followed them a loooong time and sure wish them well. As for the Cowboys, they're maddening but I"m continuing to be a loyal fan. That means I get to complain about them loud and long but will still be there on Sun. rooting...and cringing. :D
another sunday.....
GO EVERYONE!!!!
i'll be back tomorrow to cry on some shoulders......
and please don't wear your team's colors.....I am distraught already.
Richard, you and Nicole and I can be distraught together after our teams' performances today.
RobiLee....I bow at your feet, your Vikings kicked the SNOT out of our Seahawks. It sounds as though, after following the game on nfl.com, they played like they deserved to lose.
The Seahawks are now 1-5 on the road and undefeated at home. Does not bode well IF they make the playoffs.
With the way the Bengals played, can I join you?Quote:

Yeah, and don't forget me, either!!! Did anyone catch the Cowboys' pitiful performance against Philly? BOO-HOO :(
The only game I half-way enjoyed was New England vs Miami and that was because of the beautiful ** snow**
Even the Titans lost! If only by turnovers, and to Peyton Manning, one of the great TN Vols quarterbacks...not an auspicious Sunday here.
Yeah, Titans, what's up with that. I was counting on you to defeat the Dolts. lol
All is not lost. Green Bay won. That puts us on a one game winning streak:D
I love your turn of phrase, but I hate that we lost!!! :eek:Quote:

...
i am better now!;)
OK, I'm still deciding whether I want to be a Falcons fan or not. They have had a miserable year, but defeated the Panthers on Sunday, which was a wonderful thing!! :) :) But they fired Dan Reeves today and that makes me sad. :(
Why did they fire him? I hadn't even seen that. Don't you hate stupid owners? That's why I hate the Dolts....OOPS....I mean the Colts.
You have to remember that the coach calls the plays and the team executes them.......the coaches, that is!:eek:Quote:

Good luck to everyone and Seattle, please beat the Rams!!!
Yikes - I almost said, yes, please beat LA but then I discovered that they aren't in LA anymore.Quote:

The jig is up - I don't really follow football.
Still - go Green Bay - beat San Diego whomevers:D
Don't hold your breath Richard....they've only won one game on the road this year. They are suckin' now!! Back to their old form I fear.
My Skins vs Dallas... hmmm, both rather suck this year but still.. old rivalary. Verrrry interesting, but stupid  In DC it's "Dallas Week". It's more important than any other game. OH MY!
WOW!! Dallas Week? What does that consist of? Does everyone wear cowboy boots and big hair? I am a Cowboys fan and am well versed on the age old rivalry between Dallas and the Redskins. Love the games but I can't get too into the us vs them stuff. Except for the fact that it just MIGHT fire up the players, which would be helpful. :rolleyes:Quote:

it goes waaaay back - maybe 30's or 40's But especially back in the Vince Lombari/Geo Allen days of the "over the hill gang" I always identified with that then on to "the fun bunch". Ain't nothing but a thang.
I'd say the Eagles are the real Cowboy nemesis. They got rid of Michael and Troy, and always try to humiliate the 'Boys.
Would be nice to get homefield, but that takes winning a few, hah!
part of the 'skins-'boys rivalry has to do with the song 'Hail to the Redskins'
Some one who worked for the Redskins and got the song together left to go to Dallas....
He wouldn't let the 'skins use his song until there was a settlement........a lot of hard feelings about it!!
Thank you Oakland!!! Bengals are back #1 in the AFC North!!!
Well, Dallas shut out the Redskins and the Titans squeaked by Buffalo. Much better than last week!
Now if the Eagles get beat tomorrow night ....Go Dolphins!
I TOLD YOU THEY WOULD LOSE RICHARD!
The Seahawks almost pulled it out, but, as usual, on the road, they went down in a blaze of glory!
Don't rub it in Amy!! hehehe
Geez, Mugsy, you never warned me that the Seahawks were utterly useless once they boarded a bus or plane, ha ha ha!!! :D
Nicole, the Seahawks are undefeated (7-0) at home and have won only 1 game on the road. That does not bode well, if by some miracle they make the playoffs.
I really should start to bet on the games.Quote:

what is the world coming to???
It was a spectacular game....what's with the two minute drills???
Why are sooooo many quarterbacks having problems with penalties, officials, calling plays?????
OK, Miami ------ we NEED you to get with it & clip some wings.
Philadelphia ------- be good little Eagles and LOSE!!!!!!
Yep Richard, sounds like Hasselback got screwed by the officials at least once. But, I listened to the game and it as a good game, unfortunately we ended up on the wrong end.
Rat....not a very defensive game tonight!! Dang! 21-14 and it's not even halftime and now Ricky Watters is out of the game with a shoulder injury.
