Yates-Hall of Fame Racing +Ford + Menard - Dodge - Sorenson - Labonte + Kahne + Sadler + Allemdinger = RPM 2010
Just a little addition (or subtraction as the case may be!)

Thank you for that correction Cincy'sMom. :)
Funny thing is that RPM is really Gillette and not so much RP. I guess it is all in the name though.
ETA: That technically the - Labonte part has been taking place this season.
That's true...alhtough I thought I read HOF would like to have Labonte back this year. It seemed like the Yates (and Rousch) portion pushed Darnell a littlemore due to sponsorship. Labonte could still stick with Labonte, just wouldn't be part of the RPM/Yates connection. I hope Bobby gets to stick around the series.
I would like to see him around too. I really like him.
Has there been anymore speculation or news on what RPM will be driving next
year. I will have a hard time rooting for my man # 9 in a Toyota.
They will be driving Fords next year. They are taking over Yates operation and adding Menard (mostly because he has a built in sponsor from his dad .) Menard will be taking Reed's place so that RPM will be made up of Kahne, Sadler, Allmendinger and Menard.
Yes, I just saw that on The Speed Channel During Qualifing. I can live with him driving a Ford but wished they had been able to stay with Dodge. I have been a Mopar fan since my first car in 1956. It was a confiscated bootleggers car with a transplanted Chrysler firedome Hemi engine. It still had air springs in the back where they used it to haul sugar. This was one fast car. A real sleeper, because it was a black 52 Plymouth 4dr. Similar to this 2drQuote:

Carl needs a backup signature move. I'm thinking something clever like throwing frizbees over the catchfence. ;)
How much will two fingers cost Hornaday's team?http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/im.../icon_eyes.gif
THANK YOU STOCK CAR JESUS! You know what for, it's a couple of things ;)
I have no idea how this whole chase thing works any more, but I guess it's working out for Mark for the moment
I just want to let everyone know that Stock Car Jesus has been listening to your prayers, but he would like to remind everyone that they MUST not
pray to just SCJ because sometimes the prayers go to
Southern California Jesus,
Southern Carolina Jesus,
and
Santa Clara County Jesus.
Thank you and Bring On The Chase!:D
Amen.
DUDE!
After last night's race I tuned out the coverage because I knew MM was in..
I just looked at the standings and saw he was in FIRST PLACE.
When you look at the races he was knocked out of earlier in the season,
He may have been a points leader for most of the year.
Good job, slow and steady.
What??? Denny wins and no one comments...what's wrong with you people:p
Richard I think your SCJ was on Denny's side Saturday night!
Mark was so excited to see his boy win while we were there:D
What an awesome track, awesome night and an awesome race!!!
If you ever get the chance, this is definately one track you want to visit.
In case anyone wants to see my pictures I posted the link below.

Well, I thought I posted....guess not!!!
What a great race! You got a lot of great picture Anna! Richmond is such a neat track and it was great to be there for Denny's first Virginia win! (Added bonus.... neither Jimiie Johnson or Mark Martin won!!)
I uploaded my pictures too. They are here: http://labsnspots.shutterfly.com/7437

Great movie, A late model stock goes on a rampage.
I love it.

VERSUS channel is doing a 1/2 hour NASCAR show on Tuesday nights-

Today, i went to a Yard sale, and i'm a fan of Kasey Kahne. #9!!
So i ended up getting a visor hat, with his number and signature on it.
As well as the Tony stewart's old number 20. I wish he was still home depot.
the visor was orange. I was like, might as well get this for being his old sponser and number!
Did anyone catch Ryan Newman, Kasey Kahne and Carl Edwards on the Jimmy Fallon show this week? They were playing a game called "Shock absorbers" Too funny!

I believe it goes a long way about saying how likable Denny is. I find him to be arrogant, and a cry baby if he doesn't win.Quote:

Kasey Kahne's the man.
Arrogant? Really? I guess we all have our own opinions.
I do really like Kasey though.
---------------------------------
Amy, some of your pictures look just like mine;) Now, do some of your mojo for Charlotte and don't let Jimmie win:D
Only 26days 9hs 58m! See you there!!!
I wouldn't say Denny is arrogant (but I am a fan!). Sure, he can be whiny when he doesn't win, but honestly, what drivers have you NOT hard whine at one time or another? If not on TV camera, listen to them on a scanner. I garuntee they all do. Some more then others, but they all do!
Poor Kasey. Looks like he may have an early exit to his championship hopes. Shame there is so much turmoil at RPM.
Can't wait for Charlotte, Anna!!! Hopefully I can get the work part figured out soon, so we can plan some shop tours!
**YEE-HAW** ~
The Old Phart does it again!!
GO 5 ~ GO Mark!!
:D
Woo Hoo! Thank you Stock Car Jesus!
and yet another big THANK YOU to Stock Car Jesus!
I guess it's true: life really does begin at 50, eh Mark?;)
GIMME 5!
I think I need to have a little chat with Truck Race Jesus though
And the race started out so good....
At least Denny and Ryan came home with top 10's :) (and yes, Kyle too!)
A good story for the Kahne crew. :)
At least my fantasy team had a good day.
I know, not a bad night for us.
Too bad Tony had problems again.
============================
Hey...I like the Truck Race Jesus ;)
============================
Hated that Kasey had problems.

If Martin keeps running like this he may
just take the win this year.
I cant get into paved auto racing on the TV, even most dirt tracks dont do it for me. IF Im there live I can get into it.
If I could get the King of the Hammers (the trailer for the KOH 2009 DVD is here but there is at least one F bomb), Vegas to Reno , WEROCK, Reno Rocks, Paris Drakar Rally, or the Ladago Trophy on TV Ild be glued to the set.
ETA: I forgot to mention the Gumball Rally, yes its on mostly paved roads but its the insanely rich AHs that run this make it entertaining for me.
If I can get my business off the ground maybe Ill be able to afford 2 lines to the house for DSL and I can get good online coverage for the off road events from Pirate4x4.com.
I LOVE THE D to P trucks.

I am truly being good and polite. I loved the race results from yesterday.
You can use Truck Race Jesus or Trucker Jesus.
I just don't know what he thinks about sports utility vehicles?!?!?!?
I greatly admire the amount of fabrication and engineering that goes into building a NASCAR car, but that is all dialed in and allmost a science now.
Building a KOH car/buggy for a sport that has only had two official events, or building a Ladoga car (I have no idea how old the Ladoga Trophy is but Ill bet it isnt as old as NASCAR), these arent dialed in cars for a specific set race track.
I can understand how yall can get behind a certain driver for their skill with a car that is allmost exactly like their competitors, heck I admire the skills of the NASCAR driver that comes in last every time.
I get so much more out of the new offroad racing because none of the cars/buggys are the same. In some cases I get to see the build ups of indevidual buggys long before the race happens.
Im not trying to offend NASCAR fans because I admire the skills of the drivers, fabricators, and the pit crews.
If in NASCAR rubbing is racing, in KOH they dont rub, they will drive right over your car if they cant ram it out of the way.
ETA: If I can afford to, I will be on the lake bed for the King of the Hammers 2010.
How many drivers in NASCAR are women?
no women full-time in the top 3 levels at the moment, but there are a few that make the occasional appearance. Probably some more in the touring series

You obviously have not followed Nascar very closely or you would not make the statement about being dialed in. I think every Cup driver and crew chief would tell you up front that nothing is dialed in. These crews make changes from start of race to the end trying to get their car "dialed in". Most never do. Track conditions change over the course of the race and so does their setup.Quote:

There are tracks that rubbing is all that the cars can stand without major damage. There are tracks like Talledega and Martinsville where ramming is just a part of racing.Quote:

Rumor has it that Danica Patrick is actively trying to get a ride with Penske racing probably on a limited basis for 2010.
I was reading in the NASCAR Scene rag that DP will run a few races at the end of the season. Tony Stewart has been talking to her and he hinted at her taking the wheel soon.
Kyle Busch fans....
A question?
Do you think that if KB kept his schedule to the Nationwide and Sprint series he would have a better chance of winning the Sprint Cup?
The dude can drive-but I think that since he drives all three series that he doesn't focus on the 'prize'.
I am not a KB fan, but seeing him spread his weekends out make me wonder about what he could do if he was 'dedicated' to racing Cup and just a few races in the NWS.....
I wonder what the numbers look like when he does one or two races a weekend as opposed to 3?
wow!

Ride 'em, Cowboy!!
"I'll leave it in the garage ...
See if you can fixzit up while I'm in the Care Center."
;)
What a wild ride! So glad Joey was okay!!
Internersting stats for the week...no driver that has won Dover has won the championship....
No driver thathas been leading the points after Dover has won the championship....
I have to hold on to the little things!
Didn't agree with the call for Tony to pit onthe last caution...I think he would have finished better if he hadn't...but Top 10 runs for both SHR cars. I'll take it.
whew!.... Crazy Old Man still hanging in there:cool:
