Glad that Miss Hoppy is doing better and is through with the treatments.
Karen, I'm just now seeing this but I'm so glad that Miss Hoppy is finished with her treatments and doing so well.
Thanks everyone. She is feeling better enough that it is getting more difficult to give her her antibiotics - she really HATES them, and will quickly move her head as the syringe approaches it. It is good that Paul is a very patient person, as I hold Miss Hoppy while he administers the dreaded icky stuff. Thankfully, these are a once-a-day kind.
Now, Miss Hoppy you take your medicine like a good girl. So glad you are better :D
Karen & Paul, glad her treatments are done.
Miss Hoppy, please take your medicine like the good bunny that you are! :D
 Oh my, forgive me, Karen, I am so sorry - I had no idea Miss Hoppy was ill till you mentioned it on the phone! (I keep everything but "dog" and "general" on a short banner so I missed your posts entirely) But I'm very happy to hear she has responded well to her treatments. When Sherman was ill, our vet suggested seeing specialists at Tufts, and had he been less ill and treatable, we may have done that. Good to know Miss Hoppy approves of them. ;) Please pass along a little hug to her from me, and here's a BIG ((((HUG))) for you too!
Sorry to hear that Miss Hoppy doesn't like her medicine.
But I am glad that she is feeling better!! Get well soon, pretty little Miss Hoppy! :)
Well, we have finished off the antibiotics, so Miss Hoppy is glad of that, I am sure. Twice today, when Paul and I entered a room at similar times, she'd get ready to dash away, just in case it was time for the nasty stuff!
But she is feeling so much better, much more energetic and like herself of a year ago, that it is great. And the fur is growing back where they shaved her, thank goodness, just as cool weather is finally setting in!
I'm so glad to hear that she's doing well and is now finished with her medicine too.:) I hope that she'll continue to do well.:)
Karen, this is fantastic news! Good girl, Miss Hoppy ... all the yucky stuff is done now!!!
:D
GO MISS HOPPY GO! HIP HIPPITY HOPPITY HOOORAY MISS HOPPY :D "sweet" littly bun-bun ;) Karen, does she play "matador" with you again yet??
Glad to hear she's done with her icky medicine!
I'm sure she's VERY happy!
Yes, sometimes - but she's still a bit leery of me in the mornings, because that's when we did the icky medicine, so it's best to stay away from me!Quote:

I am SO glad she is back to being a great bun-bun! :D
The vet mentioned a 3-month follow-up visit, but we didn't schedule it yet.
I'm so glad the treatment is done! Is she returning to her normal bunnyness? Give her some skritches from me.
She is back to her energy level of a year ago and before - as in much more energetic than she had been this summer before her diagnosis, and harder to catch! Back to her mischevious self, too. She's still kinda sneezy, so we are still doing the nose drops, but otherwise she is much, much better!Quote:

She is waiting until her fur grows back from where they shaved her before posing for any more pictures. It is growing back in, but slowly and is patchy-looking because they obviously shaved some parts more frequently than others.Quote:

:D
So happy for her that you are no longer torturing her ;)
Does she still think of running in the morning?

Oh, I hadn't checked back here for a while. I am glad to hear that Miss Hoppy is doing so well.
No, now that it has been a week without the (awful) nose drops, she even plays toredor and/or lets me pet her in the morning, instead of looking at me suspiciously and running away!Quote:

I would love to see a picture of Miz Hoppy playing Toreador with you Karen, but I do realize that getting a picture of Mayor Karen in her jammies and bathroom is quite unlikely :p ;)
It always happens quickly, and if Paul is even in the room, she tends not to play, so sadly, photos have never been possible. There's really not much you'd see from a still, and it's not predictable when she'll want to play - so a photo of me looking waving a bathrobe around is all you'd get. And the video camera makes a small noise, which is distraction anough for her also not to play!
Miss Hoppy, has your fur grown in enough that you'll allow a photo? :DQuote:

Glad to hear she's doing so well. We will be glad when we can see pics of her again.
You read my mind :)Quote:

Hi Karen...it has been a while since I have been on and I hated that the first thing I saw was Miss Hoppy not feeling well. I am glad she is on the road to recovery! Tori and Josie said to tell her to get better fast! :-)
Thank you, I will. She seems completely recovered, much more energetic, has even hopped all the way upstairs a couple times in the last month - which she literally had not done for a couple years. The first time it happened, we were checking for her everywhere downstairs, shining a flashlight into hidey spots, asking each other "Are you sure you didn't let her out?" and there she was upstairs, as if to say "What's the fuss?"Quote:

Somehow I missed this entire thread until today. Karen, I'm so glad that Miss Hoppy is doing so well after the radiation and is back to hopping down the bunny trail.
As requested - Miss Hoppy's picture, now that all her fur has grown back in. As you can see, it grew back in white where they had shaved her for radiation, and it fell out and came back in white on her opposite side as well. We wonder if, after the Spring "big shed" it will come back in brown or not.
Here's my girl, my reluctant model!

Just wanted to add that my hair honestly is brown, it's just that bright sunlight makes it look red(der).
Hi gorgeous! You are looking good Miss Hoppy, there is no need to look so miffed at having your photo taken. :D
My Samantha also has a little white patch. She once got a collar stuck round her middle and she developed a white ring. In time most of the fur grew back grey apart from a little stripe on her back.
