yep, she is on fidofinder, dogdetective, petfinder, local classifieds, neighborhood website, etc, etc. Every site i could find. We placed an ad in the paper which comes out tomorrow.
ive been looking/cross posting on every website when ive been on the computer.
Kay, are there any woods near your house that she could be lost in? I'm still thinking of you all and hoping she shows up soon. (((((HUGS)))))
Have you had any calls or any leads at all at this point?
I'm so sorry. :( If she finds her way home, do you have a gate open or some food outside maybe?
I wish I had some better ideas, but it sounds like you are doing everything you can. I'm thinking of you both and hoping you find each other soon.

Best fix for either situation is good Signage - your Campaign /Missing Dog signs
are a GREAT idea!
Do you have a "good", highly visible picture of her on the yard signs?
Be sure all signs & posters remain fresh & readable after they get rained on.
Object is to attract the attention of the folks that have her - or -
alert a neighbor who will hopefully point out to the person that has her that
she belongs to you.
And don't rely on Hot Line "Recordings" - **TALK** to a Human -
the recording may not be up to date or not complete with all found critters.
And be careful with your and their "description" ... unless they have a PICTURE
to compare to their "inmates" - there's room for doubt.
Another thought - is Kiara "supposed" to have a City or County Dog License -
and does she HAVE a current one?
An UN-licensed dog has less rights than a lost but licensed dog ...
With no collar she isn't *wearing* her tag - but HAVING it might help.
If you don't have one for her this year - ask Animal Control if it would "help"
to buy her one right now.

I feel so completely sick about this. I just want your precious girl back home where she belongs.. I want you and your family to be able to smile again. I want in the worst way to do more than pray, I feel so completely and frustratingly helpless, as I know everyone else does too. :(. I'm still praying Kay, praying with all my heart.
I agree with everything K9soul said. Are you getting any rest? My heart truly does ache for you and your family. Life can be so cruel at times. :(
Oh dear, I've been monitoring this thread every day every few hours and it breaks my heart so much. Kiara was the last dog I would have expected to get lost :( She is such a prized member of PT; I can not imagine PT without her. She will come back. She must come back.

God is watching over Ki. There is no reason to suspect the worst, just think how long Delta was gone. Sherman's sister Tori ran off and was gone for almost two weeks, but finally found her way to a home she'd been in for less than a week. Dogs are very good at taking care of themselves, and Kiara's smart and resourceful. She'll be back.
In the meanwhile, please take care of yourself, too, dear.

I've been looking on Craigslist, this isn't exactly in your area (it was under Orlando) but it may be worth a try calling anyway.

I really thought she'd be home today. I miss her so much and feel like I've lost my own dog...if I feel this way I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through especially since I've never even met Kiki. Still keeping you, Kiara and the rest of your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I found this website - Pet Harbor - It searches all of the shelters in your area for found dogs.
Coworker said they saw a dog on a road down the street and it went running into the woods. she couldn't see it well so she called us to check it out. brought our spotlight and called her name over and over, no response, not even a bark from another dog. gave a guy in the nearby neighborhood a flier, i want to go back later to post some signs/catch more people.
bought a newspaper on the way home, her add is up. her web ad for the paper has been up since we made the ad

i hope wherever she is she has that smile on
all three of my dogs are completely licensed.
we've used about 6 rolls of packing tape, a can of matte sealer on our signs to "laminate" them.

As everyone else, I feel like one of my own is missing. Kay, if you would like me to check shelters in my area, I'll be glad to. I know when one of my kid's dogs was missing about 10 years ago, I found out there are a million shelters around this part of Florida. We spent days driving to each of them to try to find him. I think we're about 100 miles apart and it might be worth a try. Please PM me if this makes sense. I know you guys are doing everything you can and more. Don't give up. She's safe and sound and someone is just waiting till they see one of the posters or ads. I'm praying for Ki's safe return with all my heart. Hang in there hon. Don't forget my other offer :(

This is a horrible reason to have one of the largest threads in Pet Talk history, but Kay, that must help you to know that you have so many people who support you and love you and want Kiara to be back at home where she belongs.
I know you are working diligently to put up signs, make calls, etc, but make sure you don't forget to look for signs, too. I have a very good example for you of why you need to keep your eyes open for the "found" signs.
Years ago, my best friends had to leave for Florida, suddenly, and they asked me to please keep their two children with me so that they could leave to be with friends who had lost a child. Several days before, their Lab, Lucky, had disappeared. They had to leave town, knowing that Lucky was still out there somewhere. Just by chance, Matthew, Hannah and I stopped at the dry cleaners near my house (not near their house) and there was a sign beside the door about a "found" yellow Lab. The woman wanted a description from any callers. I called my friends on their cell phone and asked for anything that might distinguish Lucky from just any Yellow Lab. I had the feeling it was him, and I was right! When I called, we went up to identify him and luckily, he immediately knew the children and went nuts and I had been able to give her a pretty good description of him on the phone. Lucky was found! :) But it was such a rare chance that this could even happen.
Don't give up (I know you won't), but keep your eyes peeled and ask friends to do the same thing. You never know.

I am still keeping my eye on this thread very often and am sorry that Ki has not been found yet. Don't give up! I think that probably someone found her, found that she didn't have a collar on, thought she was a stray and kept her. Once they see the ad in the paper or one of your other signs, she will be on her way home.

I've logged on to PT for only a moment and just had to check out this thread. I've put in a good work upstairs that He find and guide little Kiki home. Big hugs to you Kay because I won't be able to check now for a couple of weeks. You will be in my prayers.

Right away when I logon to any computer, I come to this thread, hoping for good news.
In the woods where your co-worker spotted the dog, why not take Simba and Nala for a walk through there searching? Might be worth a try!
