Rubymutt! Wow, you're in Kentucky now? It would be so great if you got to come to this gathering - it's the one Paul and I will be at! :)

Anything picnicy! Phred and other "menfolk" usually work the grill, so there's burgers and that grillable kinda stuff, and salad stuff and, oh, all sortsa food!
Phred always brings cookies, and I will as well - I always make sure at least one kind I bring is shareable with the pups!
NICE:DQuote:

I haven't found a place to stay yet so maybe we could camp together?
We're not sure yet. We're planning on doing some backpacking up in Ohio that same weekend (probably on Friday and Saturday), ideally around the Cincinnati area, but we haven't worked out any details yet. We've never done a backpacking/camping trip up in Ohio so we still have some research to do. We might end up staying one night at the campground at the park, but we still have to work out all the details. It would be kind of cool to have a PT camping night! :D We prefer the wilderness, but if we do end up camping in an actual campground it will more than likely be the one at the park in Findlay. I'll keep you posted; feel free to PM me as well :)Quote:

Thank you so much. I will get registered asap. I need to get them all lisenced and info from the vet and then I will be one my way. I will surley do it over computer or mail if allowed, because I work 7am-5pm Mon-Fri and Noon on Sat, so I wouldn't have any time to get up there. I will let you know when I have registered. Feel free to pm me. Have a great day!Quote:

They currently liove in Cincinnnati, so I'm not sure if they are coming to Findlay for Memorial Day or not, but we could have a real Dane gathering!!!
That would be awesome to have some other danes there. Our pupkids have been around many other dogs, but not around many danes. They wouldn't know what to do with thereselves, they would be so happy. :D I am really looking forward to the gathering on Memorial Day. I also talked to my cousin and she maybe coming, she has a weim and a viszla. Its marked on the calender.
I've been wondering about what to bring as well. I know I'm pitching in on the b-day cake and bringing some ultra yummy dog treats but as far as people food goes I'd love to bring some yummy salad or the like BUT I'm driving from out of state & I'm also going to be away from home for 6-10 days as I'll be visiting some other areas while I'm out that way. I don't want anythign to spoil or get squished and I'm also not sure what stores or the like are in the area. I'm not one who usually brings some "genaric" snack to any gathering but this time I think I will have to. I guess It'll probably end up being some sort of chips & possibly some drinks too. Then though I am worried that many others from out of the area will bring the same items & we'll have too much of one thing & not enough of another. :p
Sue,
Ususally when the time grows closer Phred posts a Who's Bringing what kinda thing that way everyone sees what the other is bringing and what we may still need:)
Since we have so many "Newbies" coming ... I'll post "The Menue" early toQuote:

The Pavilion has lots of nice, large, heavy duty Picnic Tables (prolly seats 100 or so),
a "buffet counter", multiple Electrical Outlets, an overhead light, 2 charcoal grills (outside),
a concrete floor, and is enclosed on the two sides that get the prevailing winds.
There is NO "refrigeration" other than ice chests you might bring.
(And there's NO ice vending machine within a 20 minute drive! http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/frown.gif )
Do a *search* for past Findlay Gathurins - there's tons of pictures of Past Gathurins -
