then you offer up pity and a bit of sorrow when you hear of the costs for registration and gas......
just wait, after all the excitement goes away and we get OUR state back you'll all want to visit, vacation and maybe even move out here....:p

Yeah, Richard, just wait until New Year's Day - that always gets a crowd out here. I think God must love the Rose Parade, because it is almost always a beautiful day. And then a whole bunch more people move here.
You would think that we would have enough people here to pay our bills - and not be in such debt!

and to all of you that are moving to New Mexico because of the cheap car registrations......a small tibit of trivia for you all.....NM has the cleanest beaches in all of the U.S.!

On the brighter side, I moved out of the city and into the 'burbs in '94, so IT'S NOT MY FAULT.:p

thats a good question, property taxes... my house was about 150, my taxes are about 1800 a year (they just went up). I live in the cool hip neighborhood, with older homes that retain value well. Don't know how that compares.

We're small-town up here. We like to start with mayors before we can work our way up.:D

worker's comp here in the state!
the payouts were 9 bil in 1995...
29 bil in 2003!
That is a real problem here in the state!
