Sounds fair enough to me. On that note, why don't we just do a recipe exchange while we're at it!?Quote:

No one Bringer of Food needs to feel obligated to have a serving of their Stuff
for EVERYone in attendance ...
If we get 20 Dishes or items brought in - it's a bit unrealistic to think that
EVERYONE is going to "sample" all 20 Dishes! http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/eek.gif
I've *tried* - ya just can't EAT that much - even if you Stay for Dinner!
If each Cook brings enough Stuff to serve 6-10 people - we should have enough food
for a week! (We always seem to have a LOT more than we can possibly eat!)
And a "few" chips go a long way ... I hate to fill up on Chips - no matter HOW tastey -
and let home-made stuff go un-sampled due to a lack of "room"!
Things not mentioned:
Lasagna or Spaghetti dishes - good hot or cold - and we have elecrtical outlets.
Tossed Salads
Cheese Plate
Remember - Keep it SIMPLE - it's a PICNIC - not a formal dinner!!
Same advice for the Dawggie Treats - everyone who comes brings a Box, Bag, or Pouch
to share with da Mutts ... 40 or 50 Mutts can only consume so many Treats!
YOU don't need to try to feed each Mutt a complete meal!
My guess is we'll see 30 - 40 2-Leggers;
and have 40- 50 Mutts pass through!

Sorry, Phred, we're just so lost without you!!! ;)Quote:

For anyone who has not got their permit yet, but have sent in their registration, if you call the Park Office and let them know I could pick them up rather than waiting on them in the mail. I may be going out of town on Friday so Thursday would work best for me to pick them up.
That would be great!!!! I will send them the info for my mom's dog, Emma too!I will PM you the details. Thank you so much for the offer!Quote:

No dishes really needed, either. There's small, medium, and large waterbowls there - they were there all 3-4 times we went to the park last week. Dad, Ki, and I drove to Findlay from our campground almost every day.
Is there absolutely something easy that needs to be brought - like a necessity?? Can't do much since we're traveling but if something needs to be picked up let me know. A few of you have our cell number if needed.
Although you may not need dishes at the dog park it is always a wise idea to bring them just in case you need them while traveling. Even for the shortest distance, you never know if your car will break down or the like.Quote:

Ki even going to drink water before I did on our trip, if I only had a little bit of water in my water bottle.

if you have a picky dog like I do I do bring my own bowl b/c Keegan won't drink the water the other dogs have slobbered on - she prefers drinking out of the faucet! :)Quote:

I figure as long as we leave on time, don't get lost or anything like that we should arrive about 2-3pm.
Oh I'm getting so excited!!! Only 4 more days!!!!
Wooo hoooo!!!!
Looks like everything is falling into place for us to attend! I didn't want to say anything before because there were just too many variables affecting the final outcome, but as of right now, unless the motorhome breaks down, we'll be there! Unfortunately P & CJ won't be in attendance though. :(
Like Kay, we're kind of on the fly with all this, so we can bring something that's quick and easy to make if anyone can think of something. Will have to make a stop for doggie biscuits.....hhhmmm....this made me wonder...with so many doggie biscuits being handed out, do any of the doggies go home with upset tummies....kind of like a kid at a carnival? :D
Anyway, looks like there'll be a lot of people we haven't met in attendance, so we're looking forward to meeting all the newbies, and seeing all the familiar faces again! :D
Phred, can you PM me your cell phone number just in case? I'll be looking for my directions tonight - I think I know where they're at, but I'll let you know if I can't find them.
Wooo hoooo!!! :D
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...olittlemen.gif That's awesome Debbie! Can't wait to see you two:D
Yay! :)
How about both? :D I'll send you a PM! Anyone else? I think we'll plan to grill something here, so no doggies will have to be stuck in a car.Quote:

zany, sorry to hear you won't be able to make it, but we could still get together at the dogpark sometime. I live near Findlay, too. There will be a couple more picnics later this summer. And, like Karen said, maybe someone will trade with you...?Quote:

If we KNOW you're going to drop by - we might even leave the CharKoal "on"! :p
Let us know - and you might ask for an "early out".
Good thing my friend asked me if I have all the directions. lol I do have them all, except the most important one... the directions to the dog park. :p
~~off I go to get them~~ lol
Is anyone else staying at the Super 8?
I'll show you how to get there on Sat! :DQuote:

Well, we live in Findlay and frequent the dog park quite often but have never heard of this annual event! As I was searching through Google for some Memorial weekend events to check out around Findlay, this came up and what a surprise. We already have our weekend stop at the dog park on Sundays after lunch, so I can only imagine Josie's (our Bichon) reaction to coming around the corner this weekend and seeing tons of other four-leggers galavanting around after what she thought would just be another routine day with her and another dog or two in the park, having it all to themselves!
We also are a Small Paws Rescue foster and we will have a new rescue Bichon with us, Fluffy, that we have had for two weeks now and she has come out of her shell and is getting ready for a forever home, so hopefully she likes to see the other doggies and enjoy the sunshine, too. It will be her first trip to the famed dog park!
I guess we may be seeing some of you there and the weather looks to be Sunny with a high of 86, so we hope your event will be a success!

Welcome to PT, Josers. :D
