She'll grow tired because no one can carry that burden alone at any age, let alone in advanced years. We can't make others be more responsible; we can't control what others do. Unfortunately, the children are going to pay the price for all of it.

Ellie, I agree. Perhaps the mother should have stopped some of the nonsense the whacko daughter is doing a long time ago.
I still cringe every time I see this Octomom character. She has that stupid grin on her face as if she's basking in the limelight.
The children will definitely pay for all of it. It's so sad.:(
Has any newscast stated why the mother stopped making the mortgage payments? Was it lack of money? That seems the most likely reason, of course.
I have this secret urge to see her doing it to send the daughter a message.
That's rather harsh, Ellie. Yes, the grandmother was lacking in good judgment but it's difficult to put your child out, especially when your grandchildren would go w/her. She probably thought that at least she could supervise their upbringing somewhat. I don't know the story of the grandparents. Perhaps they were/are just as impulsive and reckless as their daughter but unless and until I do know more, I'm withholding an opinion because at present, I feel compassion for them. I'm always cautious about commenting on what others deserve because I feel that opens the way for the same to happen to me. I'm sure it will all come out soon enough, the grandparents' story, too.
I see nothing but a vacant smile, void of emotion, indicating that she does not understand the gravity of the situation. I think she lives in a fantasy world. If I'd had even twins, I would've been bawling my eyes out, worrying about how I was going to care and provide for them. Maybe she's more calculating than I realize but I think this goes way deeper. I think she's a hoarder of babies, a crazy baby lady, IMO.
No matter what, I have to send blessings to her mother. She may have had a life filled with heartache that goes beyond my imagination. Like any story, there could be alot more to this than we will ever know.:(
It's kind of a double edged sword. Being a grandmother, I can understand her wanting to make sure that they were taken care of, but at the same time, if she had practiced the tough love approach with her daughter even before there were 6, then maybe there would have been a different outcome. I feel that by doing what she did, she gave her daughter license to just keep having more kids. But what's done is done, and no one can go back and change it. It's just an unfortunate situation for all concerned - and yes - the kids will pay the price.
Hindsight is always 20/20.
If I'm not mistaken, I don't think the mother has spoken out much about the daughter has she? Her daughter may have been more than she could handle. Consequently, she ended up doing as she pleases.:( Who knows?
I saw something today that CA CPS will take action, possibly removing the kids, if octomom dosent seriusly step up and prove she can provide for ALL of her children.
WOW!! That would be a twist wouldn't it?
Mary: It's neither here nor there at this point. With me, this octomom intrigues me so much(I have a great interest in how people's minds work), I wondered if her mother had offered anything to the public about her daughter's past.
It's certainly smarter for her not to disclose that kind of info but my curiosity gets the best of me.:)
I had the same thoughts about Casey Anthony's mind but I've since lost it because it just no longer interests me. I attribute that to hearing so much about it, I can't take it anymore.
Hmmm, I heard last night on the news that she was looking at a million dollar home to buy. Apparently she sold photos of her octuplets and got quite a large sum. They didn't reveal to whom she sold the photos but obviously we'll know soon enough when their pix are flashed all over the place. So now I wonder, will she pay the back mortgage to keep her out of bankruptcy? I guess she'll have to if she wants to buy the million dollar home. Whatever sum of money she gets will more than likely go through her fingers like water.
No it's not, 20/20 is a program on TV.
---------
The Octotetrahedronhexagonmom is not buying a house.
She's not moving in with me and the paragon of all-that-is-wrong and nosy woman, Gloria Allred has stepped in to try and help the Octotetrahedronhexagonmom get together with a non profit organization, so all the mumuring about us supporting her kids can come to an end.

Oh, and the blitherng idiot that represents the great state of Cah lee fuh nee ah was not anywhere near the area while we were trying to get our budget problems settled. Nancy the Blitherer was at the Vatican making time with the Pope and arguing abortion with him,
She, at our expense, took a charter that cost TAXPAYERS 10k an hour to fly to Italy, the one way, the 20 hour flight cost us 200.000 dollars and that does not include tax, room and meals, for her and her hangers on.......
So, if you feel like getting angry at a buffonish, void of emotive style woman and user and abuser of tax money, look no farther that the head of or Congress. I wonder how much she pays to have her nails done?

The funny part about this whole thread is the way that people get nailed without ever havig the intimate contact necessary to get the diry deed done!

Care to explain what you mean by this sentence?
The funny part about this whole thread is the way that people get nailed without ever havig the intimate contact necessary to get the diry deed done!
Hmmmm - saying that it's a darn nice house would be an understatement! Maybe I should apply for a job as nanny for her tribe!
WTF?
Just because I can't diagram a sentence you are going to let me try Santeria?
I don't detest NP, I like to see the news do stories on her. I have the most wonderful time clowning on her. She too funny to pass on and gives me hours of fun, entertainment and the ever so growing horror knowing she represents my bassakward state.
Now, Let me ask you a question?
With all due respect, you have posted comments about other current and former politicians taking them to task for the jobs they have done and clowning on their public image.
And, I really don't care to comment on them. So why the preoccupation with my fixation of the representation and irritation that NP brings to me?
No diagramming necessary, I'll take a 10 word answer!;)
"preoccupation " ??? This is the first time I ever said anything.
Oh, I can diagram with the best of them, so there.:)
From the Nadya Suleman Family Website:
"We thank you for the love, support and good wishes sent to us from around the world. The octuplets arrived on 1-26-09. They are all healthy and growing stronger by the day. To send donations or other items..." and it lists an address which I truly hope is not the one where they actually live.
I read on telegraph.co.uk that she wanted one more daughter and that she wanted as many children as she would be able to bear because she resented being isolated and being an only child. She already has six children - one has ADHD and two have autism. It sounds to me like she was obsessed with being pregnant or having a huge family. And I don't think the fertility specialist acted in the best interests of either this woman, her six children or her future children when he implanted eight embryos. The whole thing makes me mad because there is no way she will ever be able to support or care for them without some kind of public assistance. What type of vehicle do you use to transport 14 children, almost all of whom require some sort of car seat? What happens when the oldest comes down with a cold? They will all catch it. This whole situation makes me really mad!
The Dr Phil show did a few episodes on the Octomom & one where he
arranged all the carseats that would be needed for her to transport the
kids to a typical Drs apointment. He also mentioned she would also
need a bus, not a car, to take them anywhere.
It's pretty clear she didn't think anything out beforehand.
I was channel surfing last night and ran across that show about the 18 kids and counting. One of TLC's shows. I said to myself, wait a minute, they have 18 kids that took years to conceive and birth. Octomom has almost as many and it was almost instantly, in comparison.
That really threw me a curve and made me think about this woman even more. Her situation continues to amaze and anger me.:(:(
A person should have as many children as they can love, and afford. NO one should have a child on welfare let alone 14. If you are on welfare that is the government telling you that you are either to poor to care for your child because of mental issues or to ill to work. In either case you are unable to care, feed, house yourself and you should not be having a child. In most cases you went and asked for that help, starting you were unable to care for yourself, so you have no business asking the government or anyone else to care for your kid
:) Yes your speaking of the Dugger Family.. Yes it took them 18 years (a child per year).. I do think this is one of the familys that Octomom was trying to copy after.. She also sold a bunch of the babies photos to People Magazine.. I saw them on the magazine cover while in line at Walmart.. And **%%$$##@@ No Not in my life did I buy a magazine.. This Oxcyy Moron Wormen just Disgust me to no end.. Yes I spelled it right Wormen..
Octotetrahedrongeodesic Dad/donor is finally speaking out.....Saw a blurb for the interview on the tube!
SHould be interesting!
This one did - he was on t.v. this a.m. Seems he and Crazy Woman were an item for about 3 years, and he made more than one donation to her "bank account". I didn't catch it all, since I've started tuning out when anything about this fiasco is taking up good network time!
If Karen wants to merge this with the other thread, cool - but the other one started out being about Nancy Pelosi...;)

Octuplet mom fears hospital may not release babies
1 hour, 33 minutes ago
By The Associated Press
LOS ANGELES - Nadya Suleman apparently has bigger worries than taking care of her 14 children.
A TV talk show host says she told him that she fears the hospital may not release her newborn octuplets to her. Dr. Phil McGraw says the 33-year-old unemployed mother called him Tuesday, distraught that Kaiser Permanente officials told her they were concerned about the babies living at her home in suburban Los Angeles.
Suleman has taped two episodes of McGraw's "Dr. Phil" show. The first was scheduled to air Wednesday.
Suleman gave birth to the octuplets Jan. 26 in Kaiser's hospital in nearby Bellflower.
She has six other children, lives in her mother's three-bedroom home in Whittier and relies on government food aid and disability income to provide for them.
The home is under threat of foreclosure and could be sold at auction beginning May 5 because Suleman's mother is $23,225 behind in her mortgage payments, property records show.
Kaiser officials declined to comment on Suleman's case.
"Any conversations that the mother may or may not have had on this topic are private and we could not discuss them," said Kaiser spokesman Jim Anderson.
Social workers evaluate parents of very premature babies to determine what services the children and family may be entitled to, said Vicky Bermudez, a neonatal intensive care unit nurse at the Kaiser hospital in Roseville.
The octuplets were born nine weeks premature.
"If they feel there's a risk to a baby, they contact Child Protective Services and Child Protective Services would make a determination as to whether or not there's a reason for concern," Bermudez said.
A call to the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services was not returned Tuesday night.
Suleman has not responded to repeated interview requests from The Associated Press. Her phone has been disconnected and she no longer has a publicist.
