EVIL Thoughts to the TV master-minds! :(
After watching 45+ minutes of the Talking Heads *babbling* about their theories of Life & Racing ...
They announce at 5:55 PM the over-the-air Broadcast will end  ---
and to feel free to switch over to PAY-TV / ESPN2 to see the end of the race!
Makes ya wanna watch Foosball!

Shortened because of darkeness?
Why not let them run with the headlights on? ;)
Well if this wasn't one of the crappiest races I've ever seen
First the 2 rain delays, they changed the channel they were airing the race on, then the decision to cut the race to 225 laps, then to 210 laps, then Tony gets wrecked by Crappy Kurt Busch when he should have won, and then no green-white-checker finish:rolleyes:
NASCAR just makes up the rules as they go along
UGH!!!Quote:

Crappy?
You are being kind.

I was listening to the "speedfreaks" radio program last night.....They got into a convo about how the other drivers were being nice about the final standing in the race-one of the hosts started saying the they were being PC in their post race comments.
Then the question came up-
Who is the whiniest driver in NASCAR? :D
Tony doesn't whine, he flat out &i#che$!!Quote:

Uh, NASCAR drivers don't lie...LOL!
Whiners and Biatchers!
That is where the conversation on the radio went! :D
KB was labeled a whiner and TS was a Biatcher!
We got some real fans here!
I couldn't believe what I heard on Fox News this morning but I heard it 3 different times. I tried to find the link but couldn't.
Seems Homeland security told it's aides they needed to get shots before going to a NASCAR race. Shots for little things like hepititas, tetnus and that sort of thing. Sounds like they think NASCAR fans are really germy!!!
They tried to explain that they were sending the aides to check to see how prepaired the tracks are for handling a terror attack and they told them to get the shots before the went because of the large crowds.
Ok, fine but do they make them get shots before they go to the Super Bowl?
Or the World series? or any other sport where large crowds gather? or Times Square on New Year's eve for that matter!!!
That's a big fat NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(
Guess I better make sure I'm update to date before I head down to Miami. If I win end up spending the whole week there, who knows what kind of diaseses I may bring back!!!
Yes you better Amy! And while your at it take Robin...she's going to Charlotte tomorrow...she sucks...so do you:p
I want to go to both of those races:D
Hey, there is no garuntee I'm going to the Miami race....I may be back on a plane Tueday before the race.Quote:

WTF is with Tony Stewart?
He's driving like Paris Hilton in a parking lot!
She said it's about 6 hours Amy.Quote:

Mark was so sweet last night. I had the race taped so he waited for me to get home from work to watch it:) Sad thing, I have to work and only got 4 1/2 hours sleep:o
Of course he wasn't happy with the outcome, but he was happy that 48 wrecked:D
Good thing I like Gordon...he's on a roll!
Yep, 6 hours there and 6 hours back and I did most of the driving. Made it home at 7:30 this morning. I don't know why we do crazy things like that! We had a good time and enjoyed the race. Our seats were way up high and they were actual seats. Love that! Had our own little space and no worries about being all squeezed in. Awww, nice comfy seats! I really needed that after the long walk there and that huge hike up all those stairs. My legs were screaming...lol. Pictures turned out crappy so I don't really have any to post but I do want to post my favorite. Thanks for reminding me to get this pic Anna!

I'll see if I have a few more to post later on. Gonna go get some sleep now!
Wow...I know its silly but I love how our blue eyes stand out. Do you think we might be related ;)
I missed most of the race last night, but got home in time to see the last 10 laps. I was soooo hoping that Jeff would run out of gas. Oh well. Tony can win his next year and have one in a 3rd car manufacturer!
Robin, that picture of you and Brandon is fantastic!
I was just trying to figure out how far Charlotte was to see how bad of a drive it would be for us...I think it would be about 9 1/2 hours. A little more then Ralph would go for, me thinks. But airfare to Charlotte isn't awful. Some day...
Jimmie Johnson again...no one cares I guess;):D
Ohhh and it looks like NICE Carl Edwards is starting to show his 'True Colors' according to team mate Greg Biffle...
Edwards sorry for tiff with Kenseth
Here's the video in case you haven't seen it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CBm_VugNYk
I was going to comment on all the Rousch racing going-on's but hadn't gotten to it yet. I thought it was really interesting the way Greg Biffle phrased that, "True colors showing through". He also suggested fans should maybe question weraing the 99 gear....
Nate Ryan also has an interesting article in the USA Today, today about the situation and some interesting comments from Kenseth. I don't have time to go it right now, but you can find it on-line, in the Sports section.
I cared, but the race was relegated to the digital channels because of the fires. I didn't even look for the results until 2:00 a.m. on Monday!Quote:

Poor Jr. --
I think Teresa has some kind of explosive charge built into the engines and tires on the old #8. That is way too much bad luck for one driver in one season.
JJ, Thanks for thinking about the people in CA....
Carl.
Horseshoes and handgrenades. :(
Brent Musberger is the WORST announcer. I grew up with him here in El Lay..
Sorry about sharing my pain with all NASCAR fans.
REAALLLY getting tired of the Jeff and Jimmie show! Think if I win next week, I could beat them up after the race? I'll be taking pledges for bail money!!!
Now, now Amy you wouldn't want to do that;)
But yeah, Mark's saying the same thing.
He just told me that he hates NASCAR. Better not, we're leaving for Arizona Friday!
Does Mark know yet?Quote:

Yep he knows, I told him this past Sunday. Wanted to give him plenty of time to get over the nervousness of flying.Quote:

Getting very excited...how about you?!
I guess we won't be passing in the air....
We leave from Toledo at 6pm, lay over in Chicacgo and get into Miami at 11pm. Tuesday we would leave Miami at 10 something and get back around 5:30, again stopping in Chicago.
Definatly getting excited! Nervous (about the driving, not flying!), but excited!
Amy I don't know who I'm more excited for, us or you!
We'll have a great time and I hope you do too. Good Luck Girl! You can do it!
Thanks Anna!! You guys will love Phoenix!!
If you are headed out 10 from Phoenix, there are a few exits you can take to the track. Most take the first, so if you wait and take the 2nd, there may be less traffic. They come together eventually, so it doesn't make a big difference, but might save you a few minutes.
When you starting getting close to the track, stay in the left lane. That will get you the closest parking!
