I believe you're right. The colors look so much brighter &
the pictures clearer on IS.

I didn't notice in the other pics, but Cinder & Smokey were on
their 'dual lines' in some of the shots. :D

I love all the pics! I will try to get mine posted over the weekend. Like Phred said I have been very *bizzie*.

I had a really great time Sunday and loved seeing you all and all of your furkids. They are all beautiful! Its like being in doggie heaven. I love it! The food was great too. Gosh, I really did stuff myself and then I took home lots of cookies, cake and brownies and stuffed myself later on that evening...lol. I really loved Diana's potato salad. Yummy! I usually only like my mom's so that is a huge compliment Diana! I also want to get your carrot cake recipe, Anna and Staci, I want your taco dip recipe. PM them to me if you can ladies. YUM YUM! Next time I'll make sure I get there a little bit earlier so I can have more time to chat and catch up on what eveyone is doing.

I am really hoping that I can make it to the next one this memorial day weekend. sound like I am going to be able to meet even more new people. I love it. I did want to ask everyone if they thought it would be alright to bring Katie. I don't want to cause anyone to worry or offend anyone. I would really like to try one more time. I am hoing she was just have a super bad day. I am going to try and take her to doggie day care again just so I can see how she does there. She did really well the other time I took her. . Oh well, let me know what you think and you can be honest. I won't be offended.

Oh, yeah, I have to mention that I even got to bring some books home that Amy and Staci trade around. That was an extra treat. I will try to remember to bring some of my own to pass around and make sure I bring the ones back that I borrowed.

Well, Robin, I think you handled Katie excellantly. I have heard that Akitas are extremely stubborn. But I think Katie is such a sweetie. She got into it with Keegan b/c Keegan was so jealous of any dog that got near her Mommy. It wasn't Katie's fault at all, in her tiff with Keegan. The tiff she had with Kia, like you and Kimmy said Happened so fast I have no clue what happened, I just grabbed Keegan to prevent her from going over there. I think if I remember correctly, someone maybe had treats, and maybe is that how is started? I really don't know. :(
I think that Katie, (at the time of course, she isn't now)Keegan, and Kia all suffer from "single dog syndrome". Katie might be better the next time b/c she shares you now with Tori. On the other hand, she might be more protective over Tori, like Dazzi is over Taggert and Snoopy. I know that Kia and Keegan have gotten into it before if Kia gets near me with Keegan and if Keegan gets near Kimmy with Kia. Honestly, 2 years ago when Amy, Anna and I first met at the dog park, I seriously didn't think I would be able to let Keegan off even inside the fenced area b/c I didn't think she would EVER come back to me. I just didn't think that she and I were as bonded as my RB greyhound, Shaianne.
Little did I know. She never left my side that day! All the other dogs would go off and play with each other, but Keegan preferred the company of the people! If you see any pics of that day, almost all the pics of Anna, Amy and I, Keegan is somewhere near me! It really made me realize that she did love me and we were bonded. I think that was when it truly hit me that she was MY dog and I had a "MY" dog again.
Annnnnnyyyyy way, I digress. I don't think it is fair to you or to Katie to drive all that way and NOT bring her! And I don't want to see you NOT come b/c of that. Remember, I threatened Keegan that I would leave her at home if she didn't stop picking fights!!! :)

Well of couse I think you should bring Katie! I wouldn't let a couple of tiffs keep you away. Try it again, if it doesn't work then.... I'd hate to see you miss our gatherings!

We'd rathur have a "Pay as ya Eat" program!

Big Question is What would "work" for ALL the Dogs?
(Hate to use something that would *burn* if it got in the eyes.)

Time Outs?
I know it's better to NOT leash when entering the enclosure
(so no dog feels it's at a "disadvantage" when getting the
initial *sniff-over*).
But What About "Time Outs" when we're not close to the "Jail"?
Is it "safe" AND "effective" to *LEASH* Fido and enforce a
brief "Time Out" beside Mom/Dad to calm an overly-excited pup?

As a Last Resort -
An :eek: Muzzle?
I HAVE one for Cinder - but she's never "tried it out"...
Got it when it seemed she'd never stop "greeting" people with
her :mad: TEETH... but she finally started getting the message
with enforced SITs (or getting tied to a table) when visitors
came into range.

"I'd" rather see a pooch have to wear a muzzle for a while
rather than be left at home.

The reason I did not come back to the park was because I felt I couldn't bring Buddy with me. Some may remember last fall, I kept Buddy on a leash all day. I took him off twice and he just made me nervous charging at other dogs, I "think" he just wanted to play.. but he also is very very protective of me, and would not let other dogs get close to me. He had NO problems with people comming near me or petting him.
He's a sweetheart.
I felt very left out, and I feel it was because I kept him on a leash. But that's what kept him calm.. as well as piece of mind for myself. Anna and Robin were the two I remember most for trying to make friends with me.
It all just felt weird.... the best thing I remember is how Sierra and Roxey became great friends, and I would have loved to have brought Sierra to the park to play with Roxey and all the other pups again.... but I just couldn't leave my Buddy boy at home. So that's where I'll stay I guess.
When I first joined PetTalk, I thought to myself... Thank God I found people just like me..then to get to go to the park and meet these people and their dogs... how cool!!!!
But then after the park..I guess I feel like I've been pushed out of the "in crowd" as funny as that sounds comming from a 28 year old... it's just the truth. I really wish I would not have gone to the park last fall. Maybe I wouldn't feel like this. Maybe I wouldn't feel like no one likes me. Last year people were making Birthday posters for people, and they had all the dogs at the park put the paw print on the poster. No one asked me to have either of my dogs put their paw prints on it.
Sorry to have gone on like this... but after seeing all the fun you guys had... my emotions have just taken over me.
I'm sure people will have things to say about this... someone ALWAYS does!!:rolleyes:
