Lee the Vet assistant is bringing some A/D tonight and will look at Josephs mouth.
I hope in putting a pill in his mouth I didnt open a stitch.
I should have insisted on a medication that could be wiped on.:(

Oh dear - that isn't good news :(

When my RB Cally wouldn't/couldn't eat I bought her some liquid food from the vet or liquidised her own food and literally fed it to her off a spoon.

Hope Joseph is just having an off day and picks up again real soon :love:

:( Oh I hope not Uncle Gary.. I would have thought with stitchss they would have him on lig meds anyway.. Uncle Gary do you have some Beef or Chicken Soup?? If so give him a bowl of that for the juices.. This will keep him from dehy.. I sure hope the tech comes over soon.. Shes briniging some A/D and they said that they would slip in a few extra cans on the house.
In the old days that would have been automatic after a large Vet Bill, but I guess that I am in their bad book by paying in installments.
Its not as if I am a stranger and I am good for the money.

After all I asked first, maybe thats why the bill was not adjusted as it normally was :(

Gary are the pills antibiotics by any chance, if so you could ask if they will take them back and give Joseph a two week injection, that is what i always do for my cats these days, especially if they have a sore mouth, you don't want to be pilling a cat with a sore mouth, and here it works out slightly cheaper, no hassle for you and so much easier on your cat, ask about it.

My Josephs going back in as he has food actually stuck in his mouth, and there are two spots where his gums are bleeding.
They said he was eating at the Vets , yet he couldnt eat Pates that were mushed and hit with a blender!:confused:
To fight the chance of infections and on the side of caution My Josephs going back.
