I just talked to the vet about Duke. His bloodwork was pretty much normal. However, I can't even get him to eat chicken today. So, he's got an 8am appt tomorrow. I'm so glad I'm off tomorrow as I'm working tonight. Something's got to be wrong for him not to eat. He wasn't as perky this evening as he was this morning. And when I give him the chicken, he just spits it out. I hope we can find out what's happening with him.

It kind of sounds like something is blocking his digestive system...cause like you said he can get wagging his tail and perky...I hope you and the vets find out what the matter is and Duke feels lots better soon! :)

Duke played again when I got home this morning. The vet told me that one of the side effects of his new medication is loss of appetite :( So, he doesn't want Duke to have any of his meds until thursday morning. I hate that the new stuff was helping him so much and now he can't use it like he should. Vet said there may be another one we could try or just try less of the one he has now. We just woke up and he ate two pieces of chicken. Still wouldn't eat his dog food, though. Hopefully, he will tomorrow. He's lost 4 pounds since Friday. He also had a good bm at the vet today. That's another side effect of the new med. Let's hope he eats tomorrow.
Is there any drug that improves appetitie that can be given with the drug that helps him?
I've been thinking about you & Duke today. I hope he gets better soon.
