That link to saugus.net doesn't work for me, I'm getting an "access denied"-message.
Regarding pet photography: I would also like to know, as I'm still not very happy with mine...
Love the sunset picture by Kay, btw! :)

Can I post some of my pictures here, even though I don't use an S2? (I use a Rebel)
On my Rebel, there's a Portrait setting that I use, but I'm not sure about on other cameras...Quote:

And a night shot of one of our bridges here, in two different versions:

Unfortunately, I forgot which settings I used. I think for the bridge shot, I used the tv mode...

The S2 has such a setting, too, but I never tried it so far...Quote:

I agree. The ones of Luna and Lily taken without flash are so much better and more natural. Unfortunately, you usually don't have enough light indoors for working without the flash, or - if the sun shines into the room - there's too much contrast due to shadow and light. For this, it's so much easier doing the portrait shots outdoors, but my girls are indoor cats!Quote:

I don't know if Canon cameras have this setting, but my Olympus camera has a setting called "available light". It's purrfect for taking indoor portraits of the cats without the flash. Next to the action setting it's the pre-set mode I use most often.Quote:

One of my favorite Kasha pictures taken on that setting.
I love that photo of Kasha! I'm pretty sure the S2 doesnt have an available light setting.
I took some photo's of some flowers today, but I'm not very happy with most of them. They seem so much nicer when you look at them on the camera :p

Still dying to get my S2, lol. I should have it next month though and it's finally down to $349.99 :D. Although I might end up with the S3 instead.. :/
That photo of Kasha turned out great!!! Unfortunetaly, the S2 doesn't have such an available light setting. I don't know if the the S3 has...
That's true, same here! I often think that a picture's looking good on the display, but once it's uploaded to the computer, it turns out to be poor. And sometimes it's just the other way around! LOLQuote:

I love the one with the flower up against the lense! :)

Wow! Look at all the beautiful pictures! I am getting the S2 or S3 sometime this year. My hubby is buying it for me, so I can choose either model. We can save $100.00 if we go for the S2, but he already promised me the S3 (maybe that's because they didn't have the S2 in any store we went to).
His only rule...
"I won't buy it unless you show me how to use it!" LOL! He can use the camera I have now, but when he saw how many buttons were on the S3 his jaw dropped. He likes to take pictures of Bailey eating/acting goofy, and with the S2/S3 - he can take great videos too.
I can't wait! I want it right now but we have to make sure we can "afford" it on one paycheck (he's horrible at saving money).
:D
I can't wait to see pictures with your new camera Tasha, I hope you get it soon!! :D
I took some more pictures yesterday. :o It seems like I'll start taking pictures, and then go on for days, and then stop, and not take any for like a week and a half, and then go crazy again. :o lol, at least I have a thread to share them on!
