Finances have never been my strong point, but I was going to squeak by this month....BARELY. Just barely. The school just cashed $60 in checks that I gave them three months ago and didn't record, mt overdrew my checking, which tried to pull money from my credit card, which didn't have enough on it.
I'm an unemployed full-time (1 1/2x full-time) college student and I feel like I have no recourse, I an going to get charged $22 a day until I get paid...a week from Monday. I was already heartbroken that I couldn't afford to get anyone presents this year, now I'm just broken.
Oh yes, finals are next week and I have jury duty the week after. The relationship situation hasn't been resolved yet either.
I could really use some good vibes for surviving this holiday season, please.

A PT friend going through a difficult time. And, this may seem a bit silly but for a poor horse that died last night while pulling a carriage at a Christmas celebration :(
-
Cathy - you have nothing to lose, so why not talk to your bank? They will be able to see that the cheques to the school were written some time ago.
Sometimes you get a real human being who can do something to make things easier for you - delaying the $22 as long as you pay by X date. Just try it - you never know!
Val, prayers for your friend. And for that poor horse - I hope he didn't suffer... :(
-
cathy bogart...you really do need some extra prayers...I'm saying them for you.
I hope things get better. Please try to stay positive. It's a hard time of year for most everyone.it'll be better soon.it really will.

Prayers going out for all my PT friends and their families.

For My Father
My father was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) in 2001. It has been far from easy, but things have been managed fairly well up until this point.
He was admitted to a local hospital today at 3am. "It" may a a drug reaction (less likely), infection in his spinal cord or white blood cells infiltrating his spinal cord. No diagnosis yet, but many diagnostics are being run. I have never seen him in such pain.
Pray to give us the strength to do the right thing. He has told us he asks for no extraordinary measures-- my mother & I know that is important to him. I feel like I'm suffocating...
Please pray that he may be out of pain soon. :(
Here he is pictured with my mother...celebrating 40 years together!

A 50-year-old cement truck driver has been charged in connection with a horrific accident that killed five people -- including three children -- in Calgary Friday night.

CTV.ca News Staff
The crushed Chrysler Intrepid is seen here under a 2005 Mack 700 Tri-Axel cement truck at the intersection of MacLeod Trail and 194 Avenue South West in Calgary Friday, Dec. 7, 2007.
The victims were crushed after the car they were in, which was stopped at a red light, was rear-ended by a Mack 700 Tri-Axel cement truck.
Police say the northbound Chrysler Intrepid was stopped at a red light located at the intersection of MacLeod Trail and 194 Avenue Southwest around 7 p.m. on Friday when it was struck from behind by a 2005 Mack 700 Tri-Axel cement truck.
"The force of the impact lodged the Intrepid under the front of the cement truck and the momentum of this truck pushed this vehicle nearly 300 metres northward where it finally came to rest in the east curb lane and shoulder," a statement from Calgary police said.
A male driver, 41, [father of the two girls]and a female passenger, 33,[mother of the baby] were pronounced dead at the scene. [They were engaged]
A six-year-old girl, nine-year-old girl and 16-month-old baby boy were also killed in the crash. Police say all three children were properly restrained in the back seat of the vehicle at the time of the collision.
I JUST FOUND OUT THAT THE DRIVER IS ONE OF OUR LOCAL AND BELOVED "FRIENDS IN SOBRIETY". We all are stunned, crying...we felt ripped apart like everyone did for the family killed...but to find out it is someone who has a heart of gold, and would not hurt a fly...who is truly loved by his friends...was driving the truck...
PLEASE PRAY FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED...and that the truth comes out, WHATEVER it is.
thanks... :( :(

Thoughts for a former coworker and friend of mine, MaryEllen.
She was recently diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and it's spreading fast. She's had a few surgeries already, will be having a hysterectomy, and is going to have to go through chemo. :( :( :( :(
She is a sweet lady and not so well off so thoughts of her and her three boys will be greatly appreciated.

Prayers for ALL.
I may need a couple...I'm going in Monday to get my gallbladder out "the old Fasion Way".
I have a screen covering my stomach from the hernias and i have mesh holding my bowel together and tons of scar tissue(from the back surgery going through the front that did some damage years ago).
So,Going in blind with the scope through the belly button would not only have to reopen the screen but she may not be able to tell where the scope is going that could run into the week mesh holding the bowel.
plus re-repairing the opened screen can cause problems later on in years.
So the old fasion way...by far is the safest.
So i'll be in for 4-5 days.hopefully no more than that.
i'm caring for an old cat seperated from the rest that is super needy.I'm constantly at his beck and call.
I hope Mike can keep him happy.
Mike is fine with the others..i just am worried the old cat seperated from the rest won't get the attention he's use to.so i hope to be home soon.
i'm sure all will be fine though.i worry more for the cats than me.it's a easy operation.and i'll feel so much better after.
-
catfamily....best of luck with your surgery. Even the 'old fashioned' way has improved from what it used to be.
I hope you heal quickly, and get lots of rest - in a recliner with the old kitty getting all sorts of lap time and love! :) He will be a great nurse.

Dear ones, would you say a prayer for Vickie, the children's ministry director at my church. She was treated for breast cancer, and then for ovarian cancer that developed as a result of the treatment for the breast cancer. From what I've read, women develop an increased risk for ovarian cancer after breast cancer and treatment. She is going to a specialist to see about a clinical trial because she now has lesions (translation: tumor?) on her liver. She's just an amazing woman, a total bundle of energy and the kids love her.

prayers for all who need them. catfamily, as you're laying in your recliner, keep a pillow on your belly, the cats can purr happily and you won't gasp in pain as the happy feet walk on you. kindest regards, joyce
