Prayers for Doro and her human, that the surgery goes well.

Prayers for Doro and her owner. Doro is much loved and her owner is a wonderful one as these kinds of surgeries are quite expensive.
Prayers for Kaitlin's Dad, as he is in surgery. (from FB)
My much loved cousin passed away a week ago (Dec 20th) in a vehicle accident. Brad was 32. He leaves behind 5 children.
Some of you have heard me mention before my cousin who passed away in 1996 from leukemia ... Brad was Wade's older brother. They leave behind one brother, Quade.
I'm 1200 miles away, but have been having trouble with this. Even though Brad is yet another cousin I lost touch with as adults (Like my cousin Vickie who passed away in July), I loved him dearly and have so many fond memories. My heart has been sad all week.
2014 has been so hard. My Granny died in February, Vickie in July and now Brad. Can you all pray that 2015 goes better for everyone?
Prayers for Scooter's Mom, mrspunkysmom, and all who have the extra pain of loss in their lives. If only tragedy took holidays too. :(
I wish everyone a great 2015, with healing, happiness and new life.
I am also grateful that Christmas Day was fun, with my aunt, mom and friend Irene. There were lots of laughs and it wasn't just Mom and I, though I am grateful she is here - and doing better!:)
Prayers for Karen L. "wolflady" here on Pet Talk, I saw a post on Facebook that she has had a stroke and is in the hospital. Big prayers on the way that if it is a stroke, she is getting the right care to recover from it quickly, with minimal damage!
I hope wolflady recovers quickly!
I'm so very sorry to hear this. Wolflady and her family will be added to our prayer list at church tomorrow. I hope you won't think I'm out of line by asking everyone to pray for her family too. My late Mom had three major strokes and this takes quite a toll on the family in many ways.
Karen's husband gave an update on Facebook: "So far we know she had a few strokes and her vision and balance is affected. Two vertebrae arteries were completely clogged and resulted in vertebral artery dissection (VAD). So far we just wait and watch to make sure symptoms don't get worse. She is on blood thinners to prevent clotting and is seeing PT and OT for next steps. Pray she doesn't have to go for major surgery."
Prayers for Karen L. and her family.
:love::love::love::love::love::love::love:
More prayers for Karen.
I hope the blood thinners do the job and no surgery is needed. I also hope this can be prevented from happening again.
Wishing the best especially for the sake of little Sylvia.
I am so sorry to hear about Karen. Prayers on the way from me for her and and her family!!!!:love::love:
Sreedhar posted on Facebook again late yesterday.I will keep folks here posted when I see or hear anything new.Quote:
Wanted to provide an update, not much new to report, we're still hanging at the hospital waiting for next steps. Thank you all for your kind words and prayers.
I heard from her husband on Facebook - Karen L. is coming home today, on blood thinners and will have to be monitored very carefully. Still I know getting home always has made me feel much better, and like I will heal faster!
Well, that's good news! Continuing prayers and good healing wishes for Karen.

Another update from Sreedhar Lakamsani, Karen husband:
Also requesting prayers for a friend's son and daughter-in-law, she is pregnant with twins, and there are complications, so she may end up on bed red for the next few months, prayers for safety and healing for the babies would be appreciated!Quote:
Karen is still doing physical therapy for at least 2-3 more weeks. She feels that balance and vision have not improved which is frustrating. But, we are hopeful it will get better. There are several follow-up doctor appointments which will tell us next steps. Still hoping for no surgery.
Tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of when my Granny passed away. :(
Some of you may have seen this on facebook... My dear friend Billie has been in ICU for 2 weeks fighting for her life. She is on life support. She & I worked together for many years, and she retired a couple of years ago and moved to Washington. We have kept in touch, though. She has been in town helping her oldest daughter and... well, as you can guess, she fell ill. My heart is so sad for her and the family. The girls (gosh they are just almost as old as I am) have asked if I want to go see her. I need to think long and hard about it. And pray on the matter. Billie is unresponsive (and has been for the entire time she's been in the hospital) and her kids have been told to get prepared to make THAT CHOICE.
I don't have many regrets. We have kept in touch. And in almost all of our emails we signed off with, "love and miss you". She was like a mom to me at work.
I just need a miracle to happen for her.
Sending you and Billie prayers and positive thoughts.
Billie is awake!!! Not out of the woods by a long shot, but AWAKE is a huge improvement. Oh my gosh. I am so so so happy.
THANK YOU!
WOOHOO!!! Keep on going, Billie!
Great News!!
Oh, what good news! We are sending along our prayers and warm loving wishes to Billie and you both.

My dad went into the hospital yesterday. He had some tests today, I just got off the phone with my mom and he is looking and feeling better. I hope he will be home by this time tomorrow. So I am relieved.:)
Aww, that's good, prayers for continued recovery!
I have a friend that thinks with her heart and not her head when it comes to her ne'er do well husband. I've been really worried about her. I'm really worried for her tonight. Please, send prayers that she will think before acting. She wants this marriage to work so bad that she will believe anything he tells her.
I'll explain more later.
PTers, I'm not sure if this made the national news so you may not have heard about it. We had some crazy weather west of Chicago earlier this week. There was a big tornado (category 4 - almost the most severe) that came through. It involved Fairdale, Illinois which is a small town about 75 miles northwest of where I live. About 50 homes in the town and every single one had damage. Many were damaged beyond repair. Then another one in Rochelle, which is part of the Rockford municipal area. Homes and buildings were damaged there too, but that one was not as severe as the one in Fairdale. The governor is making a visit to assess the damage and declare the counties as disaster areas, which means they will be entitled to federal funds. He is also giving $100,000 individually (as a contributor- not the state's money) to help, because it will take time for the state to get out there, get set up and start helping people. I bet the president will either come or send someone from his staff to make a visit, too. So if you could say a prayer for the people in Illinois who were affected by these spring storms.
I am fine. The power went out in my building but that happens a lot when the weather is crazy. These are not the kind of April showers I like!
Thank you,
Elyse
This tornado with its massive destruction was all over the news here. How sad, how tragic for all involved.
Prayers for all affected by such fierce storms.
So sorry to hear, prayers on the way! I guess we're all at the mercy of Mother Nature. Not looking forward to our turn.
If she is believing everything he tells her to make the marriage work, that marriage isn't working at all - not by a long shot.
I hope she wakes up soon.
Keeping everyone in my prayers.
Aww, but it could be so many things. Wide awake or not, there's financial fears, domesic abuse that could be deadly and some people would rather be with a DB than be alone. Cultural issues, the list goes on and on...Sometimes action is in order, it is certainy uncertainable without the facts eh?
I don't have cable or satellite so I didn't hear about the tornadoes. So sorry that happened. It's scary. I managed to miss the storms (23 tornadoes) that hit NC a few years. The destruction was terrible. I was visiting my bro at the time.
Hugs to you. Prayers for all.
I was honest with her tonight. He supposedly had an almost rent free house for them. He's working in flooring and the boss had a few houses he could trade rent for work. She finally saw the house today or so she said. She wasn't thrilled but they didn't get to move in.
I told her point blank that I didn't' trust her husband and that I thought he made all of that up. They were evicted from their trailer because she was the only one working.
I'm not sure that she believes everything he says, but she wants this to work. So she lies to her friends and family. He's on prescription painkillers, too, and illegally I might add. SIGH.
She won't listen. Even her sister is posting on FB about making decisions and tagging her.
I care about her, but the drama is driving me nuts.
