(My first thought was 'cat food' inspired by 'frieskis.')

(Banana Fritters. First invented by the Roman Emperor Nero, when he inadvertantly dropped a banana into a boiling vat of Christians.)
Split - as in banana split, which was invented in 1904 in Latrobe Pennsylvania, by an apprentice pharmacist, David Evans, Strickler.
