Dear Leslie, Dan and Graham. We're hoping and praying that you are feeling better Graham. Leslie, I hope that your Thanksgiving is quiet and peaceful, spent in the company of loving family and friends. Graham, I hope your tummy is feeling better and that maybe mom can sneak you a bit of turkey under the table :) Hope to hear from you soon. Love, Sandra, Cody and Star

So heart breaking to hear that Graham
is suffering.
Prayers and well wishes for a
painless quick recoverey. :(

Update:
Graham is doing good finally. He rarely cries now and I have not given him his pain killer in a few days. He's back to pooping normal since he's off the pain killer, and he appears to be having an easier time with the leg. I never had to take him back to the vet for a laxative and an enema. I gave him until 12 noon that day and he made his massive poop at about 11 AM. Thanks for caring, everyone. I don't know what I would have done without you...I would have possibly gone coo coo from all the stress and anxiety and sadness. I am feeling better now that Graham is feeling better.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I have some pics to post, but I'll put them on a different thread since this one is getting long.
Love and peace from Dan, Graham and me :)
-
Thanks for giving us a update on Graham & so glad he is doing better :) :p :)
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving also. I had a nice day but - ate too much!
-
Yaaaay! Graham's feeling better! :D :D
-
Yay! Graham pooped...this is good news! What a dogger! Looks like our big boy has turned the corner and soon will be on Easy Street. Well, maybe not Easy Street, but at least the Road to Recovery.
Hope he got a little turkey yesterday for being such a trooper for his mom and dad.
Thanks for the update, Leslie. It's just the one I requested.

I posted a question about Graham's health in your "Thanksgiving" message and then came to this one. It's so good to know the baby is feeling much better and that you are too. Now we can rest assured that in no time Graham will be running around and getting ready for some fun activities with his mom. ;)
-
WhooooooHoooooo, Graham. Glad to hear you're starting to feel better. Continued well-wishes are going your way!!!!!!

Go Graham!!! WHAT a relief....For you Leslie, for all of us, and especially for Graham! :) It must have truly felt like a reason for giving thanks yesterday, Leslie! Keep up the good work Graham! You are one heck of a trooper and we love you lots!!

-
Okay, I can't believe I missed this thread for so long. I just got done kicking myself in the butt so now I can reply.
Sweet, Smiling, Graham. You have been through so much lately, haven't you? What a trooper you are!!! You are one tough boy!!! I'm so glad that you are on the way to recovery now. I'm so sorry that your injury is forcing you to give up something that you love so much. But I'm sure you are going to love meeting all the people in homes (if that's the route your mommy decides to take). That smile of yours is sure to brighten up anyone's day. It sure brightens up mine. I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
-
Way to Go, Graham-Cracker! :D
No pain pills, goin poddy again... Next we'll hear you're doing the steps by yourself.
Keep improving, Graham - We're ALL rooting for you! :)

I've been on vacation for a week and since I don't have a computer at home I came in to work today and immediately caught up on the progress of your sweet Graham - Leslie such dedication and love that you've given this beautiful dog I'm sure has been a great factor on your baby's recovery. I'm so glad he's doing better. It's been so trying for you and I admire your patience and love for this dear, dear dog. I thought about you all the time I was off and just went crazy wondering how everything was. A Thanksgiving prayer was certainly said for you and your wonderful family. Love to you!
-
I am so glad that Graham is doing better, it broke my heart to hear that he was crying, especially Superdog who is so strong. Now you are on a uphill swing with him, things have to get better all the time. Leslie give him a hug and kiss from all of us, he is so brave.

Leslie I am so glad to learn that Graham is making progress. He has come a long hard way but our boy with the $1,000,000 smile is up to the task! I know you have got to be feeling soooo much better too! By the way, I just thought I'd point out that this topic is now 7 pages long. If that isn't a tribute to our special Grahamie-pooh then nothing is. We love ya baby! :D

How's our dear Graham doing today???? Please let us know. We're thinking of him!!
-
I am so sorry for leaving you all hanging. Thanks for asking about him. He's doing OK and hobbeling around like a pro. He had a bandage change last Saturday and his leg was SO skinny when that cast came off  . Very atrophied. Next Saturday when he goes in for a recheck he'll also get xrayed and he'll have the top half of the cast taken off so it will be 1/2 as heavy as it has been. That'll be nice.
Graham told me to thank you all for being such caring, kind friends.
Here is a pic I just took of him resting his sweet little head on that cast. He has his booty on because we are just about ready to go outside.

Love you all to bits :)
-
Glad to hear you're doing better, Graham. I can empathize with the atrophied leg problem. When Avalanche had her anterior cruciate ligament rupture (as did our dear Buddy on this bb) her leg was atrophied, too. But soon it recovered. :) Best of luck to ya, Graham and we wish you "Speedy Recovery"!
-
Sandra was right about that knife in the heart thing. Hannah's Heart Throb Big Boy, Graham certainly is looking good. He is going to be good as new, we just know it. He has been such a trooper through all this as have you, and soon the whole ordeal will be behind you forever and Graham will be romping through the snow with the rest of us. Hannah says she will even annoint him as an official Polar Dog.
-
What a dreamy face you have, Graham!! I think your "boot" is very sporty too! :D
Won't you be happy when all of this is behind you? We certainly will!!
Hang in there, buddy. It won't be long now. I think the worst is over for you!!
Thanks for the update, Leslie.
-
What good news sweet Graham! We are so happy to know you're doing so much better. You are a brave pup, very soon the casts will come off and your accident will be just a bad memory. Stay well and keep running on the way to recovery :p
-
Graham,
I always knew you were a great boy! Im so glad you are doing well! And Leslie, you are brave. I would have NEVER lived with that if Simba was hurt. I basicly blame myself for everything that happens to him, and i owuld have about killed myself if something that serious would happen to Sim. Do you think Graham will be able to continue his agility and stuff? Love Ya Graham! ;)
-
Oh Graham - what a brave and sweet love you've been - getting 1/2 the cast off will be a little bit more comfortable for sure. So glad you're coming around - I'll keep praying for you sweet thing :)
-
HI Graham,
Just checking in to see how you were doing.
Your Momma says you're hanging in there. I Still remember you in your"SuperDog" costume for Halloween.I think you are a real live SuperDog for being so patient & brave !! Buddy sends you his best, and I send you kisses & hugs dear Graham...
Keep 'hanging in there' sweetie, we all
love you very much... Liz & Buddy.
-
Graham, With that sweet look on your face I think you could get anything your heart desires! Keep on healing sweety.
-
Leslie, until Graham is completely w/o a cast, may I suggest that closeup picture of him resting his chin on the cast would be a great sig pic.
-
Graham, you are such a handsome boy, I loved the picture of you, I'm glad things are getting better for you and for your Mom. You all have been so patient, it won't be too long now before you will be without all those casts and boots. Hugs and kisses from
Perry, Daisy and me.
-
Could we have an update on Graham? Is he adjusting to his cast or has it come off already?
-
How's Graham doing? Much better, I hope!!
-
Thanks for asking...we're hanging in there. You have no idea how badly I want that blasted cast off...I can't bathe him and I have had to go to the chiropractor every 3 days or so from a SORE back!!! Now that the cast is lighter, he's holding his leg up more when he walks and stands. He hardly puts the leg down now. He's been walking on 3 legs since they took the top half of the cast off.
Graham tells me that he wants a new leg for Christmas :) I told him, "tough" :)
4-8 more weeks now, then we are smooth sailing with a severely atrophied leg, and no cast. I just can't wait to be able to give him a nice, thourough bath! The food and supplements I have him on are very cleansing and detoxifying, and for those who know about natural health know that when people go on cleansing diets, they tend to have bad breath, get more pimples, or whatever...in a dogs case, the cleansing and detoxifying diet and supplements causes the dog to STINK! It's not the normal dog smell, it's different and very nasty. I have put him in the tub and washed what I could with his casted leg sticking out of the tub, but it's not enough. 4-8 more weeks of a P.U. doggie :)
OK, I'm done complaining :D Thanks for asking about him...he may be smelly but he's improving by the day. His hair is growing back nicely and he looks better. Graham says, "thanks for being such good friends".
-

That is such a cute picture! Poor Graham, he looks adorable but I'm sure it's no fun to have that cast on.
