Congrats to you Cincy fans!!! Great game!!!!!! Of course, I'm crying over my Cowboys who decided not to show up for their game with Tampa Bay. Boo-hoo:(
You Viking aficianados might be interested in reading a column by Phil Simms at NFL.com. The article was very complimentary towards Minnesota's fans.
Shut up you brat!! lolQuote:

Thanks! I'll have to check this out.
*Sigh*....well it happened. The Vikes finally lost their first game. Now that it is over with, I hope we can really start kicking some butt. Or, is this a sign of things to come!
Congrats to my dad and all the rest of the bengals fans. Go Bengals!!
Robin :)
at the halfway point it is time to take stock.....
I would have like to have El Lay considered for tonight's game.......
But we are right in the middle of the fire storm....:(
congrats to the winners and 'we'll get them next week' for the rest of the teams.....
And to all of you who have a football team in your home town.......:p
The nice part about NOT having a team here is we
get some choice games from around the league...
the bad part is we miss the games we want to see....
Am I a disguntled fan, or what????
;)
Tix for last night's game were free to the fans..
But, the owner of the Cardinals asked for a donation for each ticket to go to the people affected by the fires in San Diego County....
Well done!!!!!:)
Having spent some time living in Kansas city, and having gone to a few games, and having watched them lose EVERY SINGLE GAME I attended, I think I'm pretty proud of the ole Chiefs this year.

It's the young Chiefs that will give you fits!!
Great run............next stop?
Playoffs, of course!
is it too late to jump ship?
Don't land on me if you do Richard, I jumped last evening and paddling like a duck as we speak.
Never too late Richard....want to jump on board the Seahawk? hehehe No pun intended.

see what winning does to you?
Us Oakland fans need to be laughed at!
I'm reveling in it since it's never happened before! lol
My 4-4 Packers are playing Monday night against Philly.
Good luck to the rest of you this weekend.
Well, my Seahawks play the Redskins on Sunday in D.C.,so who know's what will happen. I would love it if they won....they would be 9-2!! I can hardly remember that kind of season. Usually they start strong and get my hopes up and then crash and burn and don't even make the playoffs! lol

WOW,
I forgot about this thread.....
now that I am a probationary Seahawk fan I have to prove my worth this weekend!!!
Mugs,
I don't think seattle ever had a season like this.....Not poking fun at you or anything..........but when the played AFC west.......
Good luck to everyone this weekend and for old times sake.....go raiders????
Here's what my Seahawk email said Richard....
Seattle is also off to their finest start since making the playoffs in 1999, when the club started out 8-2.
I don't ever remember them being this good either, but, what do I know....how quickly we forget eh? lol If they lose this weekend, you're fired as a fan too! hehehehe Isn't called a fair weather fan when you jump ship when it's sinking and jump on the bandwagon of a winner??? :p :D

2 hours until game time for the first games! Good luck everyone!
AAACCCKKKK!!! Bad day in my NFL day. Bears and Seahawks both lost! RICHARD!!! Did you cheer for the Seahawks?? hehehe
Mr Hyde came out for my Bills - Gosh I miss the 90's. Please come back Jim Kelly - Thurman Thomas - Andre Reed - James Lofton. :(
Boo Hoo Hoo!! The Vikings have lost 3 in a row now. I couldn't stand watching it today. Where is the defense?!?
*Sigh*
Robin :(
And Richard's Raiders lost too. Not a good day in Pet Talkville.
i walked out in overtime......Quote:

i came back and there was the post game report...

Robin - I thnk EVERYbody's defense showed up in Dallas today. Dallas did manage to win so I'm not complaining (I'm sure there will be plenty of time for that in games to come :) ).Quote:

Was shocked when I saw scores from other games as in: Washington BEAT Seattle???? When I saw that on the roster this AM, I felt sure Seattle would come out on top. What Happened?
And the other surprise to me was that Indianapolis lost, altho my feeble brain has just blanked on who beat them. Aargh...
They are falling back into their norm.Quote:

Richard, I gave up on the NFL for this season when the poor, pitiful Falcons lost and lost and lost. And our favorite college team, Clemson, wasn't doing much better, until Saturday night! What fun it was to be right there in the midst of those 81,000 people when Clemson decided to show up and beat Florida State, the #3 ranked team in the country! At least that is what they were ranked at the time!!!! LOL!!! :D
Sorry everyone had such a bad weekend. But the week's not over yet though, you can still be an honorary Green Bay fan for tonight.:)
So jump on the bandwagon, paddywagon, chuckwagon or whatever, and help me root for my team.:)

count me in....
my last wagon experience was the 'turnip truck'.....
lolololol,
I'm willing to take a chance.;)
logan,
blame it on Vick.....poor guy never even got a chance to pull out of the garage...let alone get rollling..:(
I'm joining this thread late because I've never been much for football. Of course, my college experience might have something to do with that--I went to Northwestern back in the days when the Wildcats royally and righteously sucked. When my friends and I bothered going to the games at all, we'd sit in the stands and chant "Our SATs are higher," and "Library, library, let's go study!"
Not long after I left, NU set what was then the NCAA record for consecutive losses. I'm told that after the record-setting loss, the students tore down a goalpost--and threw it in Lake Michigan. :D
Now, of course, I live in the heart of Bronco Country. In fact, I can see the pretentiously named Invesco Field at Mile High from my living room window.
I do watch games when the Broncos make the playoffs. And the Super Bowl wins were pretty cool. ;) All I can tell you about this season, though, is that they got off to a great start and then somebody put an injury curse on them.
OK, Catland. I'm hopping as I type :) I'm always happy to pull for the Packers so you can count me in for tonight.Quote:

sigh - I guess it was too much to hope for that at least one of us would have a winning weekend.
Oh well.
