Sasha Begins Chemotherapy On Monday!

Dear Sasha, I trust this finds you still fighting the good fight, and being a cooperative patient by taking your meds and eating. I sent a reply PM to your Katma but her mailbox was full. I know she is very busy tending to your needs and making certain that you are comfortable while on the rocky road to recovery . . . may it be soon, sweetheart. :) Blessings to you and yours!

Me too !!! I know I haven't posted much in this thread but I have been following it. I have been soooo worried about Sasha. Please let us know what happened at the vets. And how Sasha is doing.

Me too! I am getting really worried! There hasn't been any posts at all from Sasha/Susan since 8/1/05 and her message box is full. Hoping and praying nothing is wrong.

Time for a little prayer...Please God, let sweet Sasha be okay. Please bring her through whatever crisis she may be facing and help her Katma and PawPaw be strong and able to stay the course with her.

We're going to be out of town Sat and Sun, but Sasha will be in our thoughts and prayers, as will her mom and dad.

Sasha/Susan I see you posting!! Thank God!! Please update us on Sasha!!! We have all been so worried and have been praying extra hard for all of you!!

We have been busy with our little girl. Sasha still has the UTI -- and she is on two anti-biotics. Sasha also takes an appetite stimulant.

However, Sasha has trouble eating. Her mouth is sore and the specialist says this is not from all the meds. She thinks Sasha may have a toothache. However, in her weakened condition Sasha can't have an anesthetic to clean or repair her teeth. Sasha is now eating mostly prescription kitten food which is very rich. She needs the food to keep her strength but foods high in fat are not the ideal diet. Her regular prescription food is very low fat as is the home-made chicken and chicken Jell-O I make her.


The specialist said we are to give her whatever she will eat because her strength is an issue in her battle against both the UTI and the cancer.

We are frightened [as you can imagine] but our little girl is such a sweetheart. Sasha is fighting very hard and we can only hope...

Once the UTI is cleared up she will be back on chemotherapy. We hold our breath many times each day -- and everyday with Sasha is a good day, may we have her for many, many more days.

I took some photos but have not downloaded to my computer. Perhaps in the next few days I'll do that.

Thank every one of you, humans and pets, who are pulling for our little girl. Your support means so much to us.

Thank you so much for the update. I know I along with many others have been so very concerned. We pray that you have many, many more years with your beloved Sasha!! Everyday is a good day you are right. C'mon Sasha keep up the fight! Your work here is not done, KatMa and PawPaw need you for many more years and we need many more pictures of you, which we are looking forward to when KatMa has the chance to post them.

Have you tried to see if she could eat some baby food? Sometimes sick cats will eat that and it's easy for them to swallow.
