And what of the whites that voted for McCain because they didn't want a black man as president? Playing the race card goes both ways.
It kind of seemed to me that you implied that Grace and I voted based on race after we made the historic remarks.

No arguement here...
Indeed, Obama's election is historic. But if race does not matter? WHY is it historic?
Please belive me when I say it... Race has ZERO do do with my choices in life. Z...E...R...O. The FINEST human being I ever knew just happened to be a black guy. My platoon sergeant from my Somalia deployment.
So please, pretty please, do not misunderstand me on this...
Race only matters to make it historic. Once blacks were slaves. Now we have a black president.
Women couldn't vote even until the 1920's. Had McCain/Palin of won, gender would of made it historic.
I would hope race nor gender wasn't the deciding factor in anyone's vote, but that's a false hope. I can just honestly say it wasn't MY deciding factor.
One of my oldest friends, who I have kind of drifted away from's Facebook status is "this country is fu**ed"
I did NOT know she thought that way at all. :(
Who cares what she thinks? She is entitled to her beliefs, as are you....
She is not happy. Many aren't. It wont change a thing...
It should not matter in the friendship...
I just hope nobody shoots the man before he gets a chance to be president. I sure believe there's thousands of extremists willing to take that job. As I watched him give his speech all I could think was to get the man some bullet-proof glass panels around him at all times.
Word.
A couple of my coworkers are going to be estatic in the morning, a couple wont care, Ill be unhappy. Jim wouldnt be happy either but he would concede.
It looks like prop 8 has passed :( Well popcornbird can rest assured that gay people will be gay no longer:p
Alaskan voters defined marriage as one man one woman with a constitutional amendment back in 1998.
*snarl* I'm so glad I'm leaving this state
I am overwhelmed with emotion today.
Our proposition 2 passed by an overwhelming majority, this was to give farm animals, namely chickens room to turn and stretch their wings.
