I am so sorry.
This is from one of the radio hosts that I have worked with many times, Annie, and she has become a dear friend:
Her husband and she have a veterinary practice, so Luke is in the best of hands, but I told her I would enlist the Pet Talk Prayer Pawtrol for little Luke!Quote:
Please send you very best healing thoughts for Luke, our wonderful Cavalier. He is seriously ill with hemolytic anemia and killing his own blood cells off :(. His chances are 50/50. We are using all our skills and knowledge and making use of conventional and alternative therapies. Still waggin his tail even though he is close to needing a blood transfusion.
I could use some of those amazing PT Prayers if anyone has some extras just laying around. :) I'll be having an MRI on my knee this Friday, which will determine whether I will need a partial knee replacement. Yes - they can do partials in some cases. I will have the results the following Tuesday. Please send some good vibes - for an easy solution - and no surgery please. Thanks everyone.
Prayers and good wishes for you, Ellie, that all goes well.
:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:
Prayers are already being prayed for you, Ellie. I'm going to make a call and have you put on our prayer concerns list at our church. Let us know how things work out?
Prayers coming Ellie that all will be good with your knee and with you.
I could use some prayers for myself. I beginning to lose faith in myself.
It seems that my boss never sent a reference for me. A friend who was also a supervisor sent in a reference. I hope that this new situation as a substitute doesn't get screwed up.
See other post in General for details
Annie is still waiting for some test results for Luke, so prayers are still appreciated. And Ellie, you and your knee will be in our prayers!
Prayers will be offered for you - you can count on them!
I am bottom of the barrel, 100% SCREWED (sorry for the language)
I did everything I could as best I knew how and still ended up in a bad situation. Please pray that people see I am sincere and that I'm not just a total screw up with no money and a questionable job.
Will do. We know you are a good person, too bad Spook cannot write you a job reference!
Thanks everyone for your prayers - re: the knee. I will remain optimistic until I learn otherwise. And Eileen - thanks for going the extra mile.
Karen - hoping that Luke can be helped. It's so sad when our fur kids are so sick.
Anne - think positive. You have my prayers too - for better days ahead.
DJF - I don't know why you're screwed, but I hope and pray that you get unscrewed soon. ;)
Update from Annie regarding Luke:Quote:
Luke's pcv is 1 point up. Yeehaw! He's a fighter. Of course I understand we are far from safe but still. There's hope. Thank you everyone for your support and prayers!
I need everyone to pray for the students of Metcalfe County High School in Ky its a really small school our daughter goes to and most of the kids there have known each other since kindergarden and well mon after school there was a bad wreck and a girl named Chelsea Anders was thrown from the truck which rolled over on her she passed away late monday night our daughter has known her forever since the first step inside of a school. So like I said its a really small school and well it's just a bunch of tore up teens that are haveing a hard time with this. The boy that was driveing is a total basket case right now he had dated the girl for the past two years they were juniers. so just please pray for these kids as they try to get through this
That I have a good first day at work tomorrow.
Anne- I hope it goes better than expected.
Prayers to all, and for all that need them.
Random- This guy (60-65??) lives in my neighborhood, and I have said hello, exchanged pleasantries dozens of times with him. I see him out walking this am- not unusual, though I normally see him pushing his grandson. We fall into step together, he pets Jasper, and says, "I am so happy to be here". Of course, I agree. He then tells me on September 6, he suffered a major stroke. ICU for 5 days, hospital after that, and he was given a -0- percent chance of survival. Only thanks to the FD/EMS and a drug called TPA or TPI???, did he pull through. And, really, to see him today, WOW! I could tell he was shaken to the core, still. I can see some loss on the left side of his body, he had his left hand in his pocket, and was walking with a different gait (but only cause I knew him before...), but it has only been 3.5 weeks, right?
Prayers that my unknown named neighbor makes a full recovery, and loses some of that fear I can see in his eyes and hear in his voice. :(
Prayers, please, for my friend Annie's daughter, who is pregnant and was just driven to the hospital
Pet Talk Prayers needed for my friend and her husband. He had to go in to the hospital to have his batteries replaced. The batteries power the "pacemakers" that help his Parkinson's. He is not doing as well as hoped.
Prayers on the way.
Prayers also for our Pet Talker Asiel - she is battling a bad case of blood poisoning, so PM'd m to apologize for not doing the puzzle! She didn't ask for prayers, but as she is having to go back and forth to the hospital for tests, etc, I'm sure she could use some!
My husband, 2 teenage sons and I are talking about re-locating to another state and starting over....sometimes it seems like everything we do just crumbles and we just wonder is this God telling us to pick up and move on? We need wisdom on WHAT and HOW to do this? We are about to lose everything we have and don't know the best way to pick up....just need LOTS of prayer.
Jannie, you will be in our prayers.
This is a request for two people I know, both of whom are named Bob.
Bob is the husband of my past choir president at church and was recently diagnosed with pneumonia and pleurisy. He is on antibiotics but has a lot of pain from the pleurisy, so he is also on pain meds.
Rev. Bob is a former pastor at my church. He has cancer, which has recently gone to his brain, so he is now under hospice care. So if I could ask for prayers for him and his family.
Thank you very much,
Elyse
A mini van crashed into a classroom yesterday in St. Paul, near Edmonton. 3 children were in critical condition; one was upgraded to stable today. The two others are critical but stable.
Please pray that the other two recover. I just can't imagine what the parents are going through. :(

I am very sad to report this update:Quote:
Three Grade 6 students were left in critical condition and five others injured after a minivan crashed into a classroom at a school in St. Paul, Alta., Thursday morning. The three most seriously injured students were taken by air ambulance to Edmonton, said Kerry Williamson, spokesman for Alberta Health Services, which runs St. Therese Healthcare Centre in St. Paul, where the remaining five were taken.
Three of those five injured students have since been released from hospital, he said.

Prayers on the way for everyone concerned.
Rest in peace, sir, our thoughts will be with your family and church family as well.
Although his passing sounds like a blessing and he is no longer in pain, it makes it no less difficult for
you in your loss.
Prayers of condolences are offered for you and your pastor's family.
diane is at the rainbow feeding and watering the kitties and other pet and animals.. please pray.. pat
Update on #2750 ... I saw Bob in church on Christmas Eve and again this past Sunday - he looks a-ma-zing! And said he is feeling well, too and appreciated all of the prayers that were said for him.
First request for 2013 isn't really a request but what I put on our gratefulness.org group page ... Dear God, thank You for all of the very special people, cats, dogs and pets of Pet Talk!
Going through a very tough time, and I think this weekend will be one of the hardest things I'll ever have done in my life. I will be going down to visit my grandparents for the weekend, and most likely it will be my last time to see my grandpa. He is currently battling advanced lung cancer. They live 4 hours away. So seeing them everyday wasn't something I could do. I am very upset and all I can do is cry all day today. My aunt informed me that I can't hug him or kiss him when I see him or when I leave. So Mike will be coming with me, Ryder as well. We are bringing Ryder mostly for my grandma who loves dogs, and I know, it will help her. Please include me and my family (and my grandma/dad's side of family) in your prayers. Thank you. :(
One of our faculty passed last night from a heart attack. Please pray for our faculty, his family, his students, and all his friends.
He is 78 yrs old, and was hospitalized a couple of weeks ago with pneumonia - and congestive heart failure, and also probable kidney issues. He is not in the best of health to start with, being diabetic and having carotid stents and high blood pressure, along with other issues. It was discovered that he has a serious heart murmur and will probably need a valve replacement, however in his present state would not survive open heart surgery. The cardiologist gives him another 2-5 years at best. He is still undergoing tests, so I'm praying that a solution can be found, to extend that expectation.
He could sure use some powerful PT prayers at this stage of the game..........
More prayers, Pom. I hope your brother heals and has some more good time in life.
Prayers for your brother, Ellie.:love::love::love::love::love::love::love:
Thank you. I know at 78 he's already lived a good long and active life, and surpassed in longevity, all the other males on my father's side of the family - father, brother, uncles, nephew, cousins - who all passed on between 40 and their early 70's. Somehow tho, you always want more. I'll be calling him sometime this week to see how his other tests have gone. I'm praying for the best. I always said that he'd probably outlive me, and I'm the youngest. He's the oldest of the 3 kids and the most ornery - so he just may do it yet! :)
this is from a candle:
