I saw Monster for the first time a couple nights ago. What a horrible life she had. Charlize theron was amazing. I can't say I "enjoyed" the movie, as it's not an enjoyable subject, but, I did like it a lot.

I saw Unaccompanied minors on Friday. It was a good movie, very funny. Cute christmas movie too. I would reccomend seeing it.
I just finished Miami Vice. I'm not really sure if it was good or not because I was half-asleep when I was watching it. It was a very very long day :p
I watched all the Lion King movies ;) I love them!
Kari i saw monster at the movies when it first came out, and like you i cannot say it was enjoyable, because some of the content i could not even watch, but charlize did an amazing job, did she get an award for it, because she certainly deserved one, it left me feeling sorry for her indeed, i have since seen the documentary on the real woman, that too was really worth seeing, one has to have empathy i think.
Kari i am the same as you with Monster, some great acting but the subject was a bit depressing. Charlize and Christina Ricci did a great job :).
ETA: I ended up watching the end of The thing called love.. i dont know what i think of it... River just did not seem too well to me so that was a bit saddening.. to cheer myself up a few days later i watched Stand By Me for the 100th time ;). And last night Mum and i watched Forest Gump gosh it is a great movie... i love it.
Carole, I know what you mean. For almost the entire movie, my heart broke for "Aileen", but, near the end, she really did appear to have just completely gone out of her head. I can't imagine going through what she did, though, and don't even pretend to understand what that does to a person. I've had my buttons pushed and gone beyond what is normal and acceptable for me (which is always verbal garbage, nothing physical...but, still just as "out of character" for me). By the end of the movie, and after reading about her, she really seemed to think she was too far gone to be helped. It's just heart-breaking that people can do to others what they did to her. :(
And, Clover...I love all three of those movies. :)
Eragon. I thougt it was great, the baby dragon was a bit too "cutesy" at first and I was worried for a minute that it wouldn't be at all aimed towards adults. But, I enjoyed the movie! It didn't pull me in like the Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter movies, but, it was still a movie I recommend.
Movies - I saw The Queen last week, and then The Holiday on Wednesday. Enjoyed both of them.
Christmas Eve afternoon we're going to see We Are Marshall - have to remember to take lots of kleenex.
I watched Take the Lead. I liked it, It's about dancing, so if you're not into it I wouldn't reccomend it. ;)
I was waiting for someone to post about that, I was thinking about seeing it too, I wasn't sure if it'd be good or not. ;)Quote:

In the last few days i have watched the following movies...
In & Out
White Chicks
The Shawshank Redemption
The beginning of the Mosquito Coast
Running on Empty
Kenny
I think that is all lol.
We watched Invincible a couple of nights ago. It was short, but, I really enjoyed it. It's amazing when you know that actually happened!
I recently watched Eragon and Night at the Museum.
Eragon was a wonderful movie, IMO! I haven't read the books, so I guess that's why I wasn't disappointed like others who HAVE read the books. Well, I loved the movie and cried a bit at the end. Won't tell why though. :p I can't wait to see if they are going to make a second one or not! I loved the Eragon/Ed Speelers shirtless scene, too. ;) XD
Night at the Museum was a good movie too! It was something different, and I loved it! It had many funny parts, and, well...with Robin Williams, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, how couldn't it be funny?! I highly recommend this movie as just a fun family night out thing. It didn't have any bad parts or anything, so I guess that's a plus for those who have little ones!
