Prayers, please for all of our buddy Phred.
From the Labor Day Picnic Thread:

We're terribly sorry to have to make the following Announcemet:
Phred and the Three Amigos ~ Cinder, Smokey, and Heidi ~
are going to have to sit out the Findlay Labor Day Gathurin.
It's been a long time arriving ... it's crept up almost un-noticed; but the
Keen Observer couldn't help noticing the onset ...
Olde Age and the ugly symptoms of multiple ailments have moved onto
The Ranch and *kicked* Ole Phred pretty hard!
First it was the Heart Attack with multiple stents and one for a Kidney.
Next the Kidneys got weak ... and now we're only a few "points" away
from needing Dialysis for outright Kidney Failure.
The ole Heart keeps trying ... but it's loosing the battle of too much fluid
and high pressure because of the Kidney problems.
Net result is ole Phred has NO Energy.
Breathing therapy has helped ... but I still do too much struggling to breathe!
And now we have a new hurdle to fight ... the old "Circulation problem"
that only bothered one foot has spread to both feet ... complete with
foot and leg swelling. Walking has become difficult.
We're gonna **MISS* all you Guys, Gals, and Pups this Sunday ...
A few PT Prayers will surely be appreciated ...
We're hoping to return for Memorial Day, 2011.

Cinder, Smokey, Heidi, and me / Phred
I'm so sorry to hear this sad news.:( I hope that Phred's health will get better and that he'll be able to get over this hurdle. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent his way.
Prayers on the way Phred I had no idea you were going through all that.
Phred, you are in my prayers! {{HUGS}}
Dexter our 9 year old cat isn't doing like he used to. All he is doing now is sleeping. I was in the living room watching tv and my daughter was petting him in his basket. He got up, walked a few steps, slowed down, and fell to the ground. He was alive, but it was a minute before he opened his eyes. he got up and went back to his basket and seemed okay.
You're in my prayers, Phred!
Phred - hope they get that dialysis thing happening SOON so that yucky fluid problem goes FAR FAR away!
Big PT Prayers for you!:love::love::love:
Prayers on the way for Phred! We all love you and hope you get well very soon!!!
Thank you to those who prayed for me. I have mono, and it totally sucks! I still have 3 finals to make up, and this is my last term. Ugh I'm starting to get stressed. Thankfully my school is totally supportive and working with me.
I just found out that my grandpa is in the hospital. My mom said he's anemic and he's okay, but I'm still freaking out about it.
Prayers and thoughts would be appreciated. I wish I was there with him instead of 100 miles away :(.
Lots of love and prayers for all who need them; Special ones for everyones' friend Phred!!
Everyone who needs prayers, lots of prayers and positive thoughts are going out to you.
I need some good vibes sent my way. I had my annual mammogram on Fri. Aug. 27th. Ever since my mom had breast cancer I've been having one annually. The lady who screened me had to reposition me 3 extra times because she wasn't able to get a good reading on me so I was squished 7 times instead of the usual 4. She said that if it didn't look as good as last years then I'd be called back.
Well they called me on Tues. because they said that they need to do further testing. I was just thinking that it was because the lady wasn't able to position me very well and get a good reading. I left work early today because we were very slow. I did some shopping before I came home. When I got home I had a message from my gynocologist and she told me that I would be called back in for further testing on my mammogram. She didn't want me to be scared but she didn't go into any details. She left her work number so that she could explain it more to me but of course she was gone by the time I got the message. I'll either try to e-mail her or call her tomorrow morning.
I got a card in the mail from Kaiser tonight telling me that my recent mammography showed a finding that requires additonal imaging studies for a complete evalution. Most such findings are benign (not cancer). The additional images will allow the Radiologist to see the area(s) in question better. It then said that I'll be contacted to schedule the necessary imaging studies. I go back in on Tues. Sept 7th at 9am. I sure hope that they don't find anything.
Good luck, KAK, I'm sure everything will go fine.
So, my grandpa had to stay overnight in the hospital and my cousin stayed with him.
I'm going home here in about 3 hours, though I was planning on going before this happened, I'll get to see him. He's stuck in the hospital until they get the tests back and figure out why he is anemic.
I'll give you guys an update on Monday if I don't get to the library when I'm at home this weekend.
KAK: the same thing happened to me recently. I was called back for further testing and squished every which way. Turns out I have some calcifications (sp?) and I now have to go back every 6 months as they need to be monitored. For now, I'm not worrying about it but if you Mom had BC, I can only imagine what's going through your head. Remember, there's no sense worrying about something you have no control over.
Hugs and prayers

I don't come to this thread very often, heck I'm not even on PT very often anymore but I've ready through the last couple of pages and send prayers to all of you.
Phred: Extra prayers coming out to you. Although I won't be attending another one of those very speshul gatherin's I know you will be greatly missed. Rest up and get better.:love::love:
Just sending and asking for more prayers for Phred. :(
Sending prayers and love to those who need them.
My grandpa's been in the hospital a week now, they've been doing a lot of tests.
They found out that he has pneumonia in the lower lobes of his lungs.. and I received a call today from my mom with the worst news ever.
He has stomach cancer. :(
Thoughts and prayers would be really appreciated... They're going to try some radiation, but stomach cancer is incurable.
I really could use some PT prayers.
I am pretty crushed at the moment and could use a good thought or two, or three...
How's about 4?;)
Thanks.:)
You have one coming from my way Richard. Hope things get better soon.
Sorry for your Grandpa roxyluvsme, there is a lot they can do for cancer to extend his life.
Just dropping by to send very special prayers for our dear Phred,
Richard, Tracey and all others who are in need right now.
May God hear our prayers!
Thanks Gini and everyone else.:) I'm fine. I ended up having another regular screening of my left breast so I had to be squished 3 more times. Since they still couldn't get a good reading, I then had an ultrasound. The lady doing it said she couldn't see anything abnormal so she talked to the doctor and she then said that everything is fine.:)
I know that in my mom's case her's wasn't found in a mammagram and she also said that they couldn't find anything in an ultrasound either.:( During a physical, her regular doctor found some enlarged lymph nodes under her armpit and they then tested these and found the cancer that way.:(
Prayers continue to go out to everyone in need.
Thanks to everyone and I am sending out prayers to everyone too!
We will make it, it's just a bump in the road.:)
Phred, Richard and everyone prayers are flying from me fast and furious.:love::love:
A song for a heart so big, God couldn't let it live. Rest in Peace, Adam Grodzik. May your family & loved ones find peace. Thinking of them today & tomorrow.
The saying is true, only the good die young. :( Adam was my boss' son. He was such a bright, smart kid, only 17 years old.
Dang,
Prayers sent out for everyone who has posted about a problem or loss in their family lately.
In between the time that we laugh and smile in life we run across a time when everything seem to go wrong. We can never be sure about what happens tomorrow, we can only stop, pray and hope that these moments won't last long.
Sometimes we think there is no end to the pain or confusion of the moment.
There is.
We just have to tough it out, tomorrow is another day and we are that much more removed from the 'right now'.
Sending prayers out to everyone who needs them.
God bless you all.

I am sorry I do not frequent this thread. I promise I will come back and get a little updated on it.
I have a couple things I'd like to share here.
Last weekend one of Bruce's good friends committed suicide. He could not face the fact that he was financially strapped. He had moved to Ohio and purchased a bar. It didn't work out. So he and his girlfriend were all packed up and ready to leave to come back to California this past Monday. Saturday morning she went to the airport to pick up her dad (he was going to make the trip with them). When they got home they found him hanging from the tree in the backyard. Bruce does not know how to even deal with this. He was such a great guy. He was one of our biker buddies. RIP Don, I hope you are free of the pain and stress now.
Another thing I learned last night is the mother of one of my best friends has brain cancer. I have known my friend since we were 10 (that's 27 years of friendship), so I've known her mother that long as well. She is an active woman, so very full of life. Oh, and I might mention these woman suffered another loss last year when my friends brother took his own life as well. So my friend lost her brother and now soon her mother. She does have options. Radiation can give her a couple more years. No radiation will give her about 6 months. I have not talked with my friend yet. But I am going to see her next weekend.
Please keep us and these families in your thoughts. Thank you.
Cindy, I'm so sorry to hear all of this sad news.:( Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent out to you and Bruce and all of the families involved. Please take care. (((HUGS)))
Prayers continuing for all who need them. Keep the faythe.
