http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...irelaxer11.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin45.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin36.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin37.jpgHeidi Monday night flipped over on her side,waiting to get up this morning and on her walk.After being out,she went to Mom and jumped up with her then on the carpet and rolled around and growled.After I had cereal,she got up with me and looked outside,saw a lady walking by,Heidi's tail was going.We then had a play of fetch with the rubber bone then she was up and down out of the chair,she was bugging to go for a walk,this between 7 and 7:30 so I took her she had a good walk,did not meet any dogs.She came home and she had a drink of water,I got ready to go Marlene's cut the lawn and I pruned the 3 Spruce Trees out back,this took until after 2 this afternoon,I started just before 9 in the morning so it was a long day,filled 16 big paper bags,I ran out of them,so will finish it when I am there next Tuesday.Heidi was down here by herself for a few hours,Mom went out to lunch with a friend while I was up at Marlene's ,she went to the concert in the park in Newcastle from 6:30 to 8:30 then the ladies are going to Tim Horton's for cookies.Mom bought Heidi a new squeaky,has been playing with since she got it,she is now at my feet,resting.

Hi, Heidi, cutie! Sounds like a good day-- you took a walk, you got a new squeaky toy, and you had some down-time :) Happy Canada Day a little early, Heidi, Barry and Mom!

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin47.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin41.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin48.jpgHeidi waiting to get up this morning and on her walk around the block.Mom was already up today so Heidi didn't get to greet her in the bedroom.Heidi had a roll on the carpet and growled and barked.She sat up with me after breakfast,had a play of fetch with her,was in the chair again,she was bugging me for a walk,this was at quarter after 7 so took her,uneventful again,no dogs to meet up with.It was a little early to cut grass,so had a rest before going,put Heidi downstairs,Mom went to get her hairdone.I had two to do today,I had Heidi down here after coming home,played a little then she snoozed some,had a couple if Iams bones.We went out ,I had to go to the bank,the we went to the cemetery to put flowers at Dad's stone,it would have been their 61st Anniversary tomorrow.We played fetch more before supper and after,stayed with Mom when I went to get cleaned up,had her bones tonight and water,now under my chair.Marlene took Brandyn and Samantha to the cottage yesterday,Larry probably going up tomorrow and so is Shannon.

Uhoh. anything rawhide can easily backfire on Kirby so i know how that goes. LOL
she looks tiny around the Chocolate Labrador :D

Looks like Heidi's Friday was grand! (except for the mishap in the hallway- but I bet you've already been forgiven :love:) How nice to see the sun; it was grey and overcast most of the day here.

I'm glad you had a good anniversary day, Barry and Mom-- my mom and dad had their 60th in September 2010. Thinking of you today.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin51.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin52.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin57.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin58.jpgHeidi waiting to get up this morning and on her walk,She greeted mom after going ,out rolled around on the carpet.We had our play of fetch.I then took her on a walk,she saw two Shih Tzus walking on the opposite side of the street.Heidi stops at almost every tree to see if other dogs have been around and off we go.She had a drink after getting home, tongue is hanging out.She came down here with me,had a play then snoozed.She had her two Iams bones after being out,took them to the living room.She was back down here with me ,mom went to gift shop,had no grass to do today,no rain for about a week,except for a bit Sunday morning,was humid today.Heidi had her supper around quarter after 1,was "asking" me for it so she went up sand had it.I had mine about an hour and a half later,had Ravioli Florentine,then Strawberries for dessert.She played some more and snooze,was outside,not for long.She had her treats,has played fetch with me,been with Mom,licks Mom's clothes,mom doesn't like that,she is snoozing behind me right now.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...irelaxer15.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...irelaxer16.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin53.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin59.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin60.jpg Heidi snoozing down here Monday morning ,waiting to get up this morning and on her walk this morning.Heidi greeted mom in the living room then went after toys.After this,a roll on the carpet , growling and barking.After breakfast,I took her on a walk,she saw a dog on its property,the dog barked at her.We had our windows cleaned today,Heidi was down here while it was being done upstairs,then upstairs while windows were cleaned down here.She had her Iams bones,she was up with mom this afternoon,mom was watching a funeral for a police officer who was run over and killed during a traffic stop last week by a 15 year old boy North of Toronto near Newmarket,Ontario.Police from all over North America were there,his widow,spoke at the service,he leaves behind a 2 year old girl and a 10 week old son,Mom was feeling a bit blue,Heidi kept her company.Heidi had her supper,we had ours after the funeral,we had Mary Brown's Chicken and Potato Salad and Coleslaw.We had a play of fetch with her toys,she jumps the bed to go after it,once she came without a toy,I asked where is the toy,bring me a toy,so she goes and gets it,she is very smart and understands what you tell her.mom went to a concert in the park in Newcastle with friends from church,she has had her Iams bones and water,asked for more water,now snoozing behind me,getting a bit of rain tomorrow morning.

Awww, hi, Heidi! Looks like you had a good weekend, and your week seems like it's off to a good start!

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin54.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin61.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin62.jpgHeidi waiting to get up this morning and on her walk.She got up in the chair and greeted Mom then rolled around on the carpet and growled and barked.Had a play with the rubber bone.After this,it was time for her walk,she follows me to my room,found on the way there she pooped.Heidi had a good walk,saw two Poodles starting out,then on another street,saw a Labradoodle on the other side of the street.She does a lot of sniffing where other dogs have been,After getting home,she had a drink,I had one lawn to do,she was wondering where I had got to.After getting back,she was down here and had a play of fetch then she snoozed,had her two Iams bones,played a bit more and snoozed,one time was under the stereo,we had gone out to get Ice cram,Turnovers ,Turnovers were dessert,Black Cherry Ice cream we had in a cone,Heidi had her bones and water,had a play of fetch with various toys,cuddled with Mom,now having a snooze.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin55.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin63.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin64.jpgHeidi waiting to start Thursday and on her walk.She jumped up on mom's chair and greeted her then rolled around on the carpet yipping.She was up with me in the chair then had a play with the rubber bone.After this,we went on a walk,a Poodle barked at her from a back yard,passed a couple of people,not much else other than smelling trees and grass.She had refreshments after getting back then we were down here,she had a snooze under the stereo,she was warm from the walk.I vacuumed Mom's van and my car.We then went shopping for a hour or so,Heidi was down here waiting for us to come back.I gave Heidi her supper not long after getting back,we had ours,she waits down here for us.I then cleaned weeds form the patio,Heidi was in and out while I was out there.Later on,she had Iams bones and water,played fetch with one of her toys,one she has chewed stuffing out of and had to throw it out.She has snoozed behind me,now over with Mom in front of the chair.

Heidi, I'm laughing at the story of you "unstuffing" a stuffy toy :D

It sounds like a good day -- a walk on a beautiful day, time with your family, a treat and a nap :)

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin57.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin67.jpgHeidi waiting to get out today and on her walk a little while later.She jumped on Mom's chair and greeted her,tried to give her a kiss then she got down and rolled around and growled.Heidi sat up in the chair and looked outside,she then had a play of fetch with the rubber bone and the soccer ball.She had enough of that ,the she was wanting tro go on her daily walk so we went,we saw the same Jack Russell,met a man that goes by out house every day,we met him on another met two ladies,Heidi wanted a belly rub.She had her drink after coming home ,then it was down here and she napped under the stereo.Mom and I went to the shopping center,she was waiting down here for us.I got a new tool called a Garden Bandit to take weeds out,it works great,cleaned out the flowerbeds and also cleaned weeds from the front sidewalk and the driveway.Heidi was out with Mom in the gazebo for awhile then back inside.We had Pizza form Dominos,she had hers before ours and was down here.We had a play of fetch with a bone with soccer balls on each end,Heidi now snoozing at Mom's feet.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin59.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin69.jpgHeidi waiting to get up this morning and on her walk.She greeted mom then had her roll on the carpet,sat with me in the chair and looked out and had a play of fetch with the bone.We then went on the walk,she met a lady form pu the street coming back form a walk and rolled over and had a belly rub.Heidi later on met another Shih Tzu,name was Crosby,he was a year old in January,was a bit shy of Heidi ,Heidi wanted to kiss him he didn't want to.She had a drink after getting back,her tongue hangs out to the side.I was out cleaning weeds form the North side of the house and filling cracks of the front step,Heidi was out back once or twice while I was out,not too long,was warm again today.She stayed by herself inside,Mom had to go out.After I was down came down here,she did too,Heidi had a snooze and played some.She had her Iams bones a little late,was growling at me,had her supper before me,mom was at gift shop.She had some more plays of fetch this afternoon,I went pu for a bath,Heidi goes to mom,was waiting inside the gate when I came back,gets Iams bones and water,had more plays of fetch,is now sleeping ion front of mom's chair.Heidi has been with us 9 months(July10),will be a year old on August 16th,time sure has flown with her around.

Miss Heidi! You've been part of the family for almost 9 months already, wow! Time has definitely flown. But you are just as special as when you first arrived! :D

She greeted mom then rolled around on the carpet,went at her toys,sat up with me in the chair.I then went to the bedroom to use the the cell phone,there is a contest on a Toronto radio station where you can win money,up to $500,000 dollars,it happens at 7:10,8:10 and 11: 10 each weekday until the end of August,have to be the 25th caller,no luck yet,Wednesday I was the 1st caller,hoping for better luck as I go along.After this,,we went on the walk,Heidi waited in the bedroom for me.Heidi trots right along,sniffs trees,passed a couple of people then one with a little do the greeted Heidi ,no animosity between them.,She ahd a drink after getting home,came down her and snoozed under the stereo,then would play a little,had her Iams bones,played and snoozed some more,anytime Mom comes in from being out,she has to go and greet her,in the afternoon,she goes up when she needs a drink or is hungry.She had her dinner then we had ours,Pancakes and Sausage,we played fetch some more,went up for a drink then to Mom and down here again,now snoozing under the stereo again.

For some reason i just thought of something. LOL :o who is walking Heidi an who is getting those pictures during the walks,, or are you the one walking her an getting hip shots of her?

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin82.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin83.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin84.jpgHeidi on her walk after church today.She had Iams bones after we got back,we had lunch which was Ham Sandwiches then we went out to shop.After getting back,took her out for a walk,it was a warm one,it feels close to 100 degrees out,hardly any rain for a long time,lawns are browning,can tell by the pictures,she didn't see any other dogs,too warm for them,she had a drink when she got home.After this, came down here and rested,played a little.She had supper around 2 ,we had ours closer to 3,we had Steak.She stays under the stereo where it is cool.I thinks she needs out or to see Mom.She was wanting to play with the soccer ball,I threw it,she jumped high over the bed and brought it back,,mom has come down,waiting for her to come.Heidi is now in front of Mom chewing on the rubber bone.

Yeah i know how that goes as its hard for me to get pictures of Kirby when hes running by me. little brat runs quite fast LOL youre pretty good for hip shotting it :D

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin66.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...eidiwantin.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin85.jpgHeidi waiting to get out this morning,sitting and looking at me ,wanting to go on a walk and on the walk a little later.Heidi greeted mo then rolled on the carpet,played fetch with the soccer ball and rubber bone,sat with me and looked outside.After this started bugging me for a walk so we went.We had a little rain this morning,not enough for the grass,didn't get any cooler,feeling in the mid to high 90's,by Thursday,it will be 97,feeling 113,the weather people said don't plan to do anything outside on Thursday,Friday will be 95 and humid,this is all coming from Texas.Heidi got a little wet on the walk,her paws,legs and tummy got wet,didn't meet anyone,wet and humid I guess.She had a drink after getting back,she came down here,snoozed a little.Mom and I went to Walmart,she was waiting inside the gate after we got back,she had her 2 Iams bones and water.She played a bit after Mom went to gift shop,had a play of fetch.She had her supper a little after 1,I had mine around 2:30,had the Chinese food form Saturday.Heidi had more plays after supper,had her Iams bones and water,goes outside twice to look for weeds or something else to chew on,has cuddled with Mom,now beside the chair next to me.The lady I do grass for on Mondays,Phyllis McRobbie was taken to the hospital,had pain in leg and back from a fall last year,will be seeing her own doctor tomorrow,daughter is staying with her,she will be 94 in November.

We had about 90 seconds of rain today- not really enough to make a difference.

Barry, the grass around here has gotten brown and dry too. I've mostly noticed it these past few days. I was going to work and there was a landscaping crew from streets and sanitation cutting the grass right along the highway. That didn't make sense to me. it's super hot out and the crew members were working in long pants and long-sleeve shirts. They'll overheat in nothing flat. And why cut it, when it's so dry. Leave it for now till we get some rain. The only lawn that's green is a new bank building I pass. It has in-ground sprinklers and the lawn looks great. But everything else is just golden-brown and dry.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...irelaxer26.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...irelaxer27.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin69.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin70.jpgHeidi relaxing inside the gate Wednesday afternoon and waiting to get out of bed this morning.After Heidi had ate and been out,she went to Mom's room,run back and forth to both sides,mom was pretending not to see her,she finally did.After all this ,Heidi had a roll on the carpet,she sat with me in the chair and looked out and we played a bit of fetch.We came down her for a little bit before going to the groomers,no walk today ,way too warm,it was 98 degrees today,humidity making it feel around 115-120 degrees.We went in my car,Heidi rode on the back seat for the ride there,was quiet the whole way,I had to go around to her side to get ehr out didn't want to come out from the passenger side,did the same after we came homer,she got a short haircut to cool off,she was good at the groomers,her tail went when the groomer got her out the cage.She was bad at home ,she pooped by the front door,not happy.She had a drink then had 2 Iams bones then down here to cool off.She had her supper before 2,I had mine,Mom went with Marlene,Brandyn and Samantha to the Shrine Circus in Oshawa,then they were taking them home,they have to stay there until Shannon gets home from work.I had to retire the Monkey,Heidi had chewed a leg off it and stuffing was coming out so threw it away,it lasted 5 years with Fritz,didn't ruin,took Heidi almost a year to ruin it but it is only a toy.Played fetch a bit after supper,I had to go water Phylis McRobbie's plants,she has a pain in her leg from a fall a year ago and it is way too warm for her to be out so did that and did ours when I got home.Our plants look good,saw flowers coming out form one rose of Sharon in the patio flowerbed,must be the watering I am giving them.Heidi has had her snacks tonight and water,been out twice,has slept beside the chair most of the time,,is doing that now.
