I didn't resize most of them. I just recently found my camera has an option to save them to a smaller size to save space and have been using that.

MOFF Im glad my worries about your system werent the problem. 5 years of not cleaning out a system and large image files can take up alot of space. I hope you now have the Defrag set to automatically run once a week.
Crap Cleaner FTW!!!
Norton isnt on my top list of Anti Virus but it seems its been working for you so stick with it.
Ill second running CCleaner once a week. Ild also run a weekly scan with Norton.
Glad things have worked out so far, and Im happy to help if you ever need it.
Ild still keep an eye on the hard drive free space for a few more days but it sounds like you got it handled.
I also go into "run" and type in "cookies" then "OK". These are copies of ALL the temporary internet files you've gone into. Highlight them all EXCEPT for "index". That is NEVER to be touched!!! It helped me free up ALOT of disk space.
Like you MOFF, I also download pictures from Kodak Easyshare onto my desktop to post. Once they're posted where I want them, I delete them from my desktop. Saves ALOT of space!! And the pictures are still on my Kodak program without taking up alot of space. My computer is set to defrag every Wednesday in the middle of the night so my 'puter time isn't interrupted.
Give Chip and Chuck kisses from me and Butcie!! Those little devils MADE the trip to CT more memorable. And they are SO adorable!!
To give you all an idea of how full my hard drive is, when I do a complete system virus scan, it now takes 12 hours. I know because I did one of the 8th. It didn't take that long when I first got my computer but over the years (as the hard drive filled up) took longer and longer. :D
I have 27% free today but did delete 50 some pics yesterday. When I move them to my alternate drive, I have to go through outlook express to do it. That thing may be hiding them somewhere too.
I'm just going to move some pics today without deleting any and see what the free space does.
moosmon I'm sure the catmobile trip was more, um, adventurous with Chip and Chuck along. ;) Chip has a new talent now. He can jump from the floor into my freezer. My freezer is on top of the fridge at least 4 foot plus off the floor.
He surprised me my demonstrating his new talent when I opened the freezer door last night. I was sure surprised by that black kitty flying by my shoulder and landing on the frozen peas. :D
All kissies have been delivered.
Hi, Chip and Chuck and big sis Angel... how's things?
Your fan,
Elyse
Sorry I'm late on this, but congratulations on your 2 new additions. Chip & Chuck are absolutely A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!!
I can't get over how grown up Angel is now. She is such a pretty girl.
Things are as usual. Good thing is my computer is holding at 24% free space since I stopped deleting pics. I'm still copying them on my alternat drive though. I haven't done the cclean thingy this week yet.
Don't know if it's the blue moon or the wind or the change in temps but the kitty natives have been really jazzed up today.
rg_girlca good to see you back on PT. The kits say thanks for the good wishes!!!
Happy 8-month birthday, Chuck and Chip!
How are you? How is big sis Angel? How are Winnie, Chester and Grandma? Could you please have meowmie give all of you some scritchies and hugs from me?
P.S., what are you hoping Santa Paws brings you for Christmas?
Your fan,
Elyse
They are all doing well. Chuck is getting to be a big big boy. He looks a lot like Chester now. I sometimes call him Chunk. ;) Chip is still a terror, into and onto everything.
The others are all doing well too. All luvies and kisses delivered.
Their Chistsmas list was really short: toys, treats, toys. :D
Just an update on the kids:
Chip is still his ornery self. Today he's in lock down in the kitchen. I got a fright this morning. I had made a pot of tea and was washing some dishes while it steeped. The teapot was sitting on the enamal part of the cook stove.
When I turned around, I saw a trail of lots of red drips all over the washer and dripping down. Looked just like blood for a second. Then I realized it couldn't be because there was nothing around that could have harmed any of the cats. I followed the trail and found Chip hunkered over something on the floor.
The stinker had stolen my tea bag out of the teapot and was chewing on it. When I looked at the pot, the lid had been lifted just a bit and the teabag was gone. It was a fruit tea so that's why it was red. Chip is still in a snit because I took the tea bag away from him.
Chuck: has calmed down a lot and is allowed more free time with me in the rest of the house. He still does have his 'moments' of hysteria though.
Chester, Winnie, and Grandma are all being very very good. Miss Angel is being an Angel, well most of the time. She still sasses me from time to time.
I hope to post a few pics after Christmas but the old computer still not doing too good on free space so I'll just have to wait and see. They all send kisses and luvies to all.
Hi MoFF,
Your telling about Chip and the tea bag had me laughing out loud. I do understand how you must have felt seeing the red drops on the counter. Glad to know that no kitties were injured.
Happy to hear that your fur crew is doing well and patiently waiting foor Santa Paws. Could I ask you to give each of them lots of lovies from me?
Wow! What a scare. I'm glad to hear that everyone is doing well.:) My two little boys are always getting into things too. There's never a dull moment with kittens around.;)
I just have to tell on Chip. (again)
We were in the kitchen last night and he was jumping around and swatting at something. I couldn't see anything and none of the others were looking like they noticed anything. He just kept it up. Finally I grabbed him and noticed his eyes were crossed. There was a big dust fuzzy between his eyes. hahahahahaha
Silly boy!!! I took it off and he was a happy fellow.:D:love:
Oh, those stories are both so funny! Poor little Chip, so distressed about that annoying THING hiding between his eyes.. and the teabag tale is a RIOT!
What an adorable little stinker!
:love::love::love::love::love::love:
Aww, Chip! You were trying to have fun with a tea bag and you gave your mum a scare. I'm glad it wasn't anything more than drops of tea. Merry Christmas, cutie!
Dear Chip, Chuck and Angel Rose... I hope you are being very good for Santa Purrs! But I suspect he will leave pressies for you even if there have been less-than-good moments.
Chuck has settled down into a BIG almost grown-up cat. He plays but is seldom wild like Chip. He is bigger than Chester now and still growing. I can hardly get my arms around him to pick him up. He loves being cuddled though so I manage. :D
Chip is still a holy terror. Nothing anywhere in the house is safe from him. He wants to see and do everything. He allows nothing to get in his way either. He loves cuddles too but is fidgety. When you pick him up, he wants down, when you put him down, he wants picked up. He wears me out and turns the house and my life upside down.
I can't imagine life without either of them now. :D
Hy Chip tell your mewme that this is the job you signed on for to keep her active.
I have Lucky that's the same way, now after almost 3 1/2 years he's getting a bit more snugly, but has not slowed down.
Oh, they are doing so well and so amazingly too, just like their little Southern Sibbies in Louisiana!
Hello, Chip and Chuck! Happy 10-month-day! How are you?
They have been being surprisingly good. They have been staying up all night helping Angel, Winnie, and Chester stalk a mousie that was dumb enough to get in the house. It hid out under the washer/dryer for about a week, then moved to under the fridge yesterday.
We had an adventure this morning. While changing the litter boxes no less. Chip and Chuck were in their cases because they 'help' too much, Chester was in the front room and grandma in the bedroom. Angel and Winnie were in the kitchen supervising me.
I had just swept the floor when I saw a movement under the fridge. Yep, the mousie. I thought he would go back under since I was there and making so much noise. Poor thing must have been starving because once his beady little eyes saw the cats bowl overflowing with crunchy food, he went for it.
Didn't get far when Winnie nabbed him. Now what was I to do? Didn't want her to eat him and Angel was wanting part of him too. So, I thought I'd take Winnie outside and maybe she would let him go. (that worked with Grandma once).
She dropped him before we got to the door. I was yelling and jumping around because I have sweat pants on and didn't want him coming up my leg. Angel and Winnie were trying to catch him.
As luck would have it, he ran smack into one of the litter boxes and stunned himself briefly. Then he ran into my dustpan. I have one that has a long handle and closes up for easy storage. It was full of dust fuzzies the the cats had been dragging out from under the fridge and washer and dryer in their quest for the mousie.
Poor thing was probably gasping for air by the time I got him outside. I just dumped him out. He was stunned but alive and covered with dust bunnies.
When I went back out to take the trash out, I peeked at where he was and he was no longer there. I hope he doesn't come back inside. I might not be able to save him next time. Of course, I praised Winnie and gave her lots of hugs for saving me from the ebil mousie.
 WoW what a morning.. Again you have made me Laugh My Butt Off at reading your morning adventures.. :p Never a dull momment at your house for sure..:D
Excellent work, Winnie - and Angel too! You saved meowmie from teh ebil mousie! *kisses* and *kisses* *kisses* for Grandma, Chester, Chuck and Chip too.
Chip and Chuck.. 11 months old now! You are maturing (if that's the right word).. just like your sisters in Texas!
Dear Chip and Chuck,
How are you getting along with your new little brother Frankie? I understand from meowmie's posts that he can be a a bit of a scamp :) How are Angel and Winnie, and your best big brother Chester? How is Grandma --does she still keep to the bedroom?
Your admiring fan,
Elyse
Chip and Chuck and all the others are doing fine.
Frankie or Frankie-stein as they sometimes think of him, sure gives them a run for their money. He even chases Chip around and gives him a bit of his own medicine back. Chip has a tendency to be a bully and pick on the others.
It's so funny to watch Frankie get up on his toes and hunch his back then chase Chip for a change. Chip is not sure what to do about that.
Chuckie alerted me to a problem with my AC the other day. He started looking into the area where the filter is. It's behind a metal door that folds down so I can change the filter easily. He looked like a bird dog hitting on prey and would not stay away.
So, I opened that door and found water on the floor. I have central heat and AC. they are in the same unit. So, I called the repair guys.
The condensation drain pipe was plugged up. So they fixed that and while they were there, they found another problem that kept the air from going up the vents like it should. The air was just blowing into that little room where the system is instead of up the vents like it should. They fixed that too. Now we are way more comfortable. I wondered why it was so cold it the house last winter. Apparently that had needed fixing for a while.
Chuckie got a big hug and extra treat!!!
Grandma still hangs out in the bedroom most of the time. She has been seen sneaking out to play with that bug toy you can see in the pics under Frankie's thread. She loves it. It makes a squeak when she touches it. I'll sometimes see it fly through the air by the door when I'm in the bed room and she is here in the front room. When she sees me watching, she just walks away like she wasn't doing a thing.
Angel, even surpised me yesterday. She came up all on her own and allowed me to not only scratch her chin, but pet her for a bit!!! Miss "don't touch me" came to me. wow!!!
Winnie is a big love bug and love tummy rubs. Can't believe she was the 'cat from heck' before she moved in.
Chester has been playing fetch with me a lot lately.
They all say, Thanks for asking about them and send luvies to you and yours.:love::love::love::love::love::love::love:
Oh, aren't they all so good!!!!! Isn't that fantastic Chuckie figuring out the AC wasn't working right..
Lovies and pets and skritchies and treats to them all.
:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:
I'm glad to hear that everyone is doing well.:) Chuck sure is a smart cat to alert you about your A/C like that.:)
Every home needs a Chuck...and a Winnie, and a Grandma, and an Angel, and a Chester, and a Chip, and a Frankie! You just have a house full of love, don't you?
Hi Chip and Chuck,
How are you fellas doing? Are you behaving yourselves and not making your Meowmie crazy? Chuck, you did a super job finding a problem with the air conditioner and letting your Meowmie know to call the repairman.
Please be good there, guys. There's a BIG BIG BIG Catmobile party coming up in September and we don't want you both to miss out because you're grounded again.
Please give your Meowmie some purrs and headbumpies from me? I hope to see you and your fursibs very soon.
Your friend,
Groucho
