Robby, What part of BLACK FLAG doncha understand?
lol, I like those kinds of controversies! :D
Richard,
NASCAR's excuse for telling him to go to 14th place was that he failed to maintain a safe speed under caution.
Hmmmmm, he was the leader, he got spun, and HE failed to maintain a safe speed?
I love it when NA$CAR makes up the rules as they go.
On a happier note ,yet another boring run of the mill top 10 for Mark!
Sure made it more interesting then the race at Pocono! I don't like to see anyone (yes, even Tony), run away with the race...there has to be some beating and banging somewhere in the mix! Makes it even worse when it is a Bush!Quote:

Time to come in and "talk to us"!
And it's **NEVER** a good idea to pretend you "didn't see" the BLACK Flag!

So Robby Gordon is running a second car at Watkins Glen this weekend...to be driven by Marcos Ambrose. I guess that is one way to apoligize.
I haven't seen an official announcement, but it appears Shrub (a.k.a Kyle Bush) is headed to JGR. Yes, he has talent as a driver, and I am a fan of JGR, but I just can't can't do it. I can not be a Shrub fan....
Oh Amy, I am so right there with you on that one;):DQuote:

WOO HOO! YEAH BOY:D
Juan...you suck
I told Ralph after the win at Indy, Tony won't win Pocono, but he'll be back in Victory Lane at the Glen. Sure didn't except it the way it came together, but...
WHO-HOO!!!! JGR goes 1-2!!!!!
On the negative side, Tuesday morning is the office announcement Shrub to JGR :( Would have much rather seen them give JJ one more year, move Aric up, or have just about anyone else in the car.
F-16's should NOT fly over my head on full 'burner.
Helicopters should not fly so low their skids almost hit RV's and the rotorwash wipes out tents.
Happy................thanks for sending a little message to JPM.
Pics sometime tomorrow (including one of Tony coming up through the esses with one wheel about 2-3" off the ground)

Dario,
Twice is a charm?
like the announcer said. You won the biggest race of the year, have a hot momma and survived a really bad wreck.
Luck has a habit of running out. :(
I hope this means Juan sucks:DQuote:

It is a sad day in my NASCAR world....Kyle Busch is officaly with JGR, and Kenny Wallace lost his ride at Furniture Row Racing. :(
On a positive note, I saw the first sign of MIS weekend...Jamie McMurry's hauler was parked a local hotel today...only 4 days to MIS (We are only going to the Bush race on Saturday).
CM, it might have had something to do with some off-air comments KW made.......while talking with MRN (off air), he referred to the car as the Furniture Row racing POS Chevrolet.
Very well could be. He was on Sirius Speedway with Dave Moody on my drive home tonight, and I only heard part of it, but he said he was relieved. They have been running so bad, it was so stressful for him, he just was miserable. Moody asked him if he thought a driver change would help and he said he really hoped so. ( I personally don't think he alone is to blame, since this past weekend they had to do engine work to try to qualify and another week he didn't even get to try due to car issues.) He thought the team had a lot of potential, he just hadn't meshed with them, but he wished them the best lof luck and really wants to see them do well. I think he is concnerned about the team trying to run as a single car, and would like to see them join forces with another bigger name to help gain momentum.Quote:

He had alot of early success in the Busch series and had a great shot at a championship if not for a crash at New Hampshire. Personally, I don't think he has ever got the oppertunity to have first class equipment in the Nextel Cup series. I hope he finds somewhere else to run, but if not, at least he is around every week on Race Day.
I've been a Nascar fan for 14 year's. My first favorite driver was Davey Allison . I now pull for Carl Edwards.
So who do you all pull for? ;)
Welcome to PT!Quote:

I really don't like the Busch brothers!
I'm not a Carl Edwards fan myself but you and Robin (Robilee) will get along great:)Quote:

Pit Road, a wonderful sight.........especially when you're looking down the pits and not from the stands!

Think anyone would notice these missing?
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h6...Picture259.jpg
Never, EVER let me get this close to a race car........unless you have a crewman with a mop handy.

A Rare shot of from pit road......the #36 getting ready for a race :p

The #31....not a bad shot for one taken while the photographer was running from a TV camera.
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h6...Picture277.jpg
Think the #01 misses their other driver? Regan Smith was driving, but Mark's name was all over the pit box!

Talked to Anna a little while ago. They are on their way home. Looks like the weather isn't going to be any better tomorrow and it seems certain that there won't be a race on Monday. Big Bummer for them :(
They did get to see Denny win on Saturday so that was a good thing.
I wondered what they decided to do, but it has still been raining here non-stop since Saturday night. I can't imainge it is much better 45 minues up the road, and I doubt there is anyway they will get the race in today. Maybe it won't happen tomorrow either, and Anna and Mark will be able to make it back for the next option, Thanksgiving weekend! Maybe need snowmobiles if that happens!!!
We too were at the race on Saturday, and it was so much fun! Denny spent a lot of time battling Matt Kenseth for the lead, but toward the end, pulled away and only a caution was going to let anyone catch him. Go Denny!!!
We met up with Anna and Mark and their friend Chris after the race, and gave thema ride back to their campsite,w here they fixed us a wonderful dinner! Thanks again guys!!!
I don't have a computer at home right now, but when we get it repaired, I'll post pictures.
I heard about all that good food, Amy. Made me wish I was there just for the eats ;)
Glad you got to enjoy the race. I sure do wish it was Matt that had pulled ahead though.
Monday Morning ... <Pitter ~ Patter>
:(
From NASCAR.com:
"BROOKLYN, Mich. -- Persistent rain has forced NASCAR officials to push back the start of Monday's rain-delayed 3M Performance 400 at Michigan International Speedway.
The noon ET scheduled start has been pushed back, according to a release issued by the speedway Monday morning. NASCAR and track officials will meet at 11:30 a.m. ET to discuss options and provide another update, though they are hopeful that a window of opportunity opens to get the race under way."
Still coming down steady here in Toledo. Maybe tomorrow? Personally, I would love to see it get delayed and have the final race in Michigan.
Anna, if you want to overnight some tickets ... :D
They are trying to dry the track now. Maybe I am wrong and they will get it in today....
Next try 10am tomorrow....
