Aww, poor girl. I hope she feels better soon.
Sending Kiara a ton full of GET WELL WISHES from us all down under, and may Kiara's pain be eased and that she will be back to normal soon, and lots of HUGS for her mummy Kay.:)
Feel better Kiara!
NiƱo did the same thing too. Don't worry she will probably be healed in no time, I really hope so!
Oh Kiara sweetie, I'm so sorry to hear about your poor little tail being hurt. I do hope it's only a sprain and will get better fast because I wouldn't want you to miss out on playing with Nebo and of course all our Ohio doggies:)So you make sure you rest that little tail of yours girl!
Kay I know how frusterating it can be not knowing what is wrong with them and then trying to keep calm, but I know you can do it!
I'll be thinking about your little girl and keeping her in my prayers that her tail heals soon.

She is one adorable baby, i loved her after vet pic, give her some kisses and hugs from Me, Face and Rita :D
Kay, I am just reading this - I am so sorry that you had to worry all night about Kiara. It is so hard to get through a night when you know one of your kids (skin or fur) has something wrong and you don't know what it is! And even now knowing - having to keep her quiet for a few days! That is sooo hard. Especially since she will probably start feeling better but could use a couple more days of healing. Hope all goes well and she is wagging that tail just fine soon!
That happened to my dog, Oreo, in late January, which is how I found Pet Talk! I was looking for information on dog health, and this forum came up, and I posted a thread about it, and people started answering. We took Oreo to the Vet. on an emergency basis on a Sunday morning because he was crying and crying and crying whenever he pooped.
His diagnosis was a broken tail bone as well. We have no idea how it happened. He was given a shot of pain medication, and we brought some pain pills home with us to give to him. It took about 7-10 days before he started wagging his tail and getting back to his old self again.
I know how distressing it can be. Don't you just feel so bad for her?!? We hope she is getting better and that the pain pills help alleviate her pain.:(
Poor pup, I remember when Autumn threw out her back the first time. She acted the same way and I couldn't help but cry each time she yelped. I hope this is a one time thing for her I've never had a dog break or sprain a tail cause all they have are stubs. Autumn throws out her back maybe once or twice a year since the first time but its never so bad. Feel better Kiara.
Hope the pain medication is helping, how sad to break your tail, KiKi! You've just got to get better because your getting company and going on a trip sweetie! Everyone's waiting to play with you, paws crossed you heal fast!
oh Kay I am so sorry I didn't see this til now!.....poor Kiara:( ...I am glad that she is feeling a little better....I hope that she recovers in time to play with Nebo...... I can only imagine how scared you were.....I am glad to hear that it is not to serious.....give that sweet girl some extra kisses from me k
Thanks guys. :)
My mom and I just went to Wal-Mart. When we got back Kiara was in her crate because my dad said that she kept pestering Nala to play. When I got home she wagged her tail (still lowered to the ground) as fast as she could. I guess these are pretty good signs that she's feeling a bit better. :)
I am glad she is getting better. Give her a gentle hug for me :D
that is great to hear that kay! so glad she is feeling betterQuote:
