Aww, he's adorable with his little Bo Peep hat. I hope he quietens down and doesn't give you any more trouble!
Tracey, thanks for the updates and pictures. Poor Cirrus, his rear end does look sore, but he sure looks cute in the collar!
I hope you had a good sleep last night with Cirrus being at your Moms (great idea!).
Hugs
Chris
Have been reading about Cirrus...Glad the surgery went well but it seems like the after is the more difficult part.
Cirrus please keep the nasty E-collar on for now. It will be off sooner than you think and you will feel so much better.
Hope everyone can get some sleep that always helps!
P.S. It took me a while to figure out what "sir jury" was:(
Poor Cirrus. I hope he's feeling better soon. {{{hugs}}}
I hope things are going better by now, Tracey. I don't blame you at all for bringing Cirrus to you parents' place, and actually think it was a great idea since it was available to you. I think that will really alleviate any immediate stress for him because of the other cats being around. Sounds like you had one rough night the other night. He really does look sore, but the one with his cone head is so cute - poor guy. :(
So here's hoping Monday morning is bringing better news for all 4 of you. :)
Poor Cirrus and POOR MEOWMIE!! Wouldn't it be wonderful it we could somehow make them understand. I think you had a wonderful idea about taking him to your parents. I'm sure he isn't happy but it has to be better than staying at the vets. Being at home and confined I'm sure just confused him. Hopefully he will calm down soon.
Just remember that this will all just be a bad memory soon!!!
As for being a bad meowmie...there are millions of cats out there that wish they had such a bad meowmie!!!:D :D http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/o...es/biggrin.gif
Cirrus, I sure hope you're feeling better.
Hi everyone. Cirrus is still unhappy but doing as well as can be expected. He's eating very well but hardly drinking at all. I was only feeding him the dry c/d but will now mix the dry with some wet c/d so he'll have more water intake.
I tried to put his meds in some chicken broth last night and he started to drink it but must have tasted the meds because he stopped drinking and ignored it after that.:( I just hope that 4 days of meds will be enough for him instead of the recommended 7. He hasn't had a bowel movement yet but the vet said that a cat can go without one for several days so as long as he's eating he should have one soon.
He's also not peeing very much because he's not drinking very much water if any at all. I wish he'd let me check him to see if he's dehydrated but he won't. I put out some more chicken broth without meds in in this time to see if he'll drink it. He's also bleeding a little bit because I saw some blood on the bathroom floor and also on some of the towels. The vet said that this was normal.
So far the e-collar is still in place but he keeps trying to scratch if off his head with his paw. He also keeps trying to lick his bottom but is frustrated because he can't get to it. I'm just counting down the days until the 25th.
Thanks for reading my posts and for helping me get through all of this.:)
Oh, I know this is so hard to watch Cirrus like this .... just try to hang in there! He really does need to drink some water though, but I guess his body will tell him to when he's ready!
Thanks for the update and hugs to you and Cirrus both!;)
Maybe he start doing better soon. I hope he will start drinking his water, I know you must be going through a very nerve raking time right now with him.
I will keep you and Cirrus in my prayers.
Willie
Tracey, I am sorry that Cirrus is so uncomfortable and unhappy and that this has been so stressful for both of you. I hope that his recovery will progress well

I am am sure that as unhappy as he is there it would be worse if Cirrus was at your house.
The vet is right on with the not going to the bathroom. Joey actually scared me a little after she came home. It was a couple of days before she would go afterwards.
Just keep talking to your vet and he will let you know if anything is really wrong. That is what he is there for.:)
Keep posting all you want. I know that this is stressful, but I know that it helped me.
Keeping both of you in my prayers.
Hi everyone. I went to check on Cirrus tonight and give him his nightly feeding. He was chirping and meowing at me like he was very happy to see me.:)He also let me pet his head. He then went to his litterbox and peed a little bit but as I was cleaning it, I noticed that he had peed even more in it. While I was in the kitchen getting his food, he had used his litterbox again and had finally had a bowel movement.:) I never thought I'd be so happy about something like this.:) It was sad to leave him because he was trying to follow me out of the bathroom. I know he can't wait to come home.
