It's "medal". Parts of them are made out of metal, but they are called medals.:)
Let's start with something easy.
Pie vs cake - which is better? :D
PASTRY.
No.......
Cake,
One of those German chocolate effers.
With coconut and nuts on top and glass of cold milk. The milk will make me sick, but where am I going tomorrow?
Just set down some ground rules so she doesnt pull the childish BS her and the rest of the cheerleaders pull when they are backed in a corner and dont have an answer. Of course she wouldnt agree to that so good luck with any sort of Honest Debate with the Cheerleaders.
:D
I will happily admit I was wrong if Liz or ES or any of the Cheerleader Honestly takes Puky up on his offer of a debate. Im not going to hold my breath that the Honest debate will happen any more then Barry will focus more on running this country over improving his golf game.
Please don't meddle with my metal/medal. Blu is part of the grammar patrol. Well, the teacher goes along with the cheerleaders. Rah! Rah!
blue may have picked on it, but I corrected it. I guess I am something or other by association...:D
I really think the cake and pie debate should be tried...just to practice technique. ;)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Debate
Debate or debating is a formal method of interactive and representational argument. Debate is a broader form of argument than logical argument, which only examines consistency from axiom, and factual argument, which only examines what is or isn't the case or rhetoric which is a technique of persuasion. Though logical consistency, factual accuracy and some degree of emotional appeal to the audience are important elements of the art of persuasion; in debating, one side often prevails over the other side by presenting a superior "context" and/or framework of the issue, which is far more subtle and strategic.
The major goal of the study of debate as a method or art is to develop one's ability to play from either position with equal ease.** To inexperienced debaters, some propositions appear easier to defend or to attack; to experienced debaters, any proposition can be defended or attacked after the same amount of preparation time, usually quite short. Lawyers argue forcefully on behalf of their client, even if the facts appear against them. However one large misconception about debate is that it is all about strong beliefs; it is not.
**Liz, you take Puck's side, and Puck, you take Liz's. :)
Cake... hands down.
and there is no chance of taking the other side on that one. Pie is good... but cake is best :p
Ok there missy - why cake??? And what cake??? Just any old cake, or a specific kind??? And just what specifically makes it better than pie? HUH??? And at Thanksgiving, are you going to bake a cake while most "normal" people bake all those yummy pies?? - apple, pumpkin, mincemeat - just because YOU happen to think cake is better???? Boy - you are so out in left field on this one.....:p:D
