SIDE NOTE ____ i remembered reading over 40 years ago about studies related to the acoustical
dispersion of the cricket and their songs and it's relations to temperture. I googled Sonic dispersion and low and behold it seems that they are still studying the little critters all over the world. The crickets of a given community will all singe the same song in perfect sync and as the temperature changes the song changes still in perfect sync. It seems that the song will vary from one part of the world to another and from one community to another. It seems that many millions have been spent just studying the little cricket.
