I've been meaning to watch The Expendables! I LOVED KickA**. :)

We watched How To Train Your Dragon and The Other Guys this weekend. Both were really great! ...Dragon was gorgeous and so sweet, I loved it. the characters were all really lovable. And ...Guys was totally unexpected and we laughed nonstop!

I can't wait to see Black Swan, and I kinda want to see Burlesque, too, although I'm not expecting much out of it. Eye and ear candy, possibly, but not much more. Maybe I'll be surprised. ;)

I watched ''The Town" Directed and Starring Ben Affleck. I'm not a
Affleck Fan but this was entertaining if you like Cop and Robber movies. It had a 50's ending , i'll leave it to your imagination to figure out what that means.:D

Kokopup i have to agree with your review on The Town, i found it quite good, not the best movie i have ever seen or the worst, probably rate it a 6/10,not sure i would have paid to see it though, luckily i had free tickets, so it did not matter.:)

watched "The Deer Hunter" on cable last night - I know it's been ranked as one of the 100 best movies of all time but I had nightmares after watching it.

I really want to see "How Do You Know" - one of the Chicago film critics said to ignore all the reviewers that didn't like it, and don't miss it. Also... the upcoming movie "Contagion" was filming along the Metra tracks in Western Springs, one town over from me and a LOT of people saw Matt Damon! How cool is that?!! (he's too young for me but he still makes me drool):D So- good old Western Springs had a brush with fame!

I watched this last night and really enjoyed it. I like Ben Affleck but I'm not a huge fan, but I have to say that I was really really impressed with him in this movie. He did an outstanding job.

"The Fighter" w/Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg. If Bale doesn't get at least a nomination for the Oscar, I'll be surprised. Based on a true story and Bale nailed the guy and his mannerisms. Excellent movie!

Seven Years in Tibet starring Brad Pitt. This is an Outstanding movie IMO.
I gave it 4.5+ of 5 stars which I don't do often.

I have not seen it yet, as it is not screening here just yet, however on another NZ Site someone did a review,they said it was awesome,must have got an illegal down load i guess,so it sounds a pretty good film.

They were filming Contagion in the school my cousins go to in Wilmette!

I've mostly been re-watching things lately. I've watched Withnail & I again and some classic Doctor Who. Mostly Second Doctor and Fifth Doctor stories.

"True Grit" w/Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Hailee Steinfeld, who was really good, especially since she was playing w/the big boys. Josh Brolin had a bit part but as they say, "there are no small parts, only small actors". He worked it. Never cared much for Matt Damon but he did it. And, of course, Jeff Bridges really played the part. Well acted w/plenty of comedy and little violence. Go see it.

"Christmas Story" was an excellent Finnish movie, filmed in Lapland, about the origin of Saint Nikolas. This is a movie that I will be adding to my collection of Christmas movies. :)

saw "Good Will Hunting" again last night on cable ... that's a movie I just really like.

My sister received "Fargo" on DVD for Christmas, so we are going to have a William H. Macy film fest with that and "Pleasantville" after the holidays.

Tombstone (1993)

Stars:Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer and Sam Elliott

I usually don't care for Cowboy movies but this one was very good and close to accurate. Recommend.

Just been to see the much awaited for movie of the Trilogy,The girl who kicked the hornets nest, i won't spoil it for anyone, i enjoyed it as i did the other two, for me the second one was the best IMO, the third not as good as the other two, but it still was one of the best movies i have seen.

And as for the sub titles, i think i kind of prefer it, at least if you don't miss anything, and i learned some swedish along the way,if you are a slow reader though you would pretty well miss most of the movie.

I think i would rate the first, and second 9/10 and the last 8/10.

It is a must to see if you saw the other two.

Now i have to get my hands on the book.wait until it is not so popular and pick up a cheapie if i can.:)

Return of the Living Dead 3(crap qualitly. too dark. couldnt see what was going on half the time not that we were missing anything though)

i pulled all nighter with my brother watching those with him LOL

I saw Get him to the Greek. Not the best but it was really funny at times. It was a pretty dumb movie but it was a good laugh. I do recommend it but it was pretty bad in terms of cursing. There was no nudity though, just alot of cursing and drugs.

Please let us know how it is! Especially how Chris Pine's performance is, that is one of the main reasons I want to see it. He's a terrific actor.

I certainly will do that, i am not very familiar with Chris Pine, what else has he been in,? i probably know him by sight,will let you know what i think of his performance, Denzel Washington is also in it, and he is pretty good.:)

He was in Star Trek as James T. Kirk, and maybe this is a biased view because I am a huge Trekkie but I loved loved loved how well he played Kirk. It's a hard role to fill, IMO, and he did it excellently. He isn't terribly well known for anything other then that. He was also in "Just my Luck" (bad movie) and "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement", which I really liked him in. He was on a few CSI: Miami episodes, and I'm sure alot of other minor TV characters and movie characters, but I just don't remember them off the top of my head. Star Trek, by far is the biggest thing he's been. He's also in the 2012 Sequel. :D

Leap Year with Amy Adams. It was OK. Cute, but I won't watch it again.

Terminator Salvation with Christian Bale and Sam Worthington. I'm a big fan of the Terminator series, and I really enjoyed this one.

Fantastic Mr. Fox with the voices of George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, etc. I LOVED it. Definitely "Fantastic." :)
