Oh, dear God, no....missing

I know there's only so many times I can say we're still hoping he's found, or we're praying for you all and I hope he comes home soon...but I just have to...I have to let you know how much I've been thinking about you, Stewart, Delta and your whole pack. Because I can't imagine if it were me, if one of mine was missing.

We're all hoping for Delata's return to be soon.

I was at the school yesterday--there's only one out this way. The posters are up there. I gave the bus driver a poster too. The little girl who lives down the road has been handing out posters too. If he's not home by Monday, I'll go around again.

Dang it, I was hoping to hear some good news when I got online today. I am sure he's safe and sound, I just wish he'd come home.

Are you able to leave the front gate open & tie his brother up in the far back yard, so if he comes he'll stay near his brother & you can run to the gate & trap him in the yard?

Cause if hes trying to get in at night, you coming outside might be scaring him to run away again... & maybe all the yelling his name & running about & driving is scaring him?

Delta is probably playing hard to get.. Anna was always that way when she escaped from the yard.. but she gives up when she's had enough.. hopefully Delta will do that..

Now I am really confused - having posted the above I received a text from number +79024845206 about an hour later saying that Delta had been found.

Came online the minute I got home to find no such update...... :confused:

Just checking in Glacier. I, like everyone else, have prayed all day that I would log on and see that Delta is back. I just have a gut feeling that he's somewhere safe. Is it snowing there or is the weather conducive to tracking him? I know nothing about it obviously but I just wonder if conditions are favorable for such a thing. Keep the faith you guys, take care of yourselves, and I'll keep praying like mad :(

Glacier - I know we are all racking our brains here...but you never saw tracks over the fence or holes under it...I keep thinking, could Delta be 'right under your nose'?

Is there a shed - crawlspace - box - anything that she might have run into(if she is scared of her own shadow)? Under a porch and stuck?

Saw the thread back at the top of the page and was hoping to see some good news. I've been thinking about you, Stuart and Delta all day. I really hope you're able to find Delta and that he is alright, poor boy :( I am really sorry you're having to go through this, I can't even begin to imagine how upset you guys must be. (((hugs)))

Crap! I was so hoping he'd be back by now too!! Argh... I know how it feels, when one of the pack is missing, it's just not the same!!

Have you tried taking the team out in the area? I had one of my guys, Rupert, get loose not long after I got him from another musher and he was gone for 3-4 days or so. No sign of him, nothing. I also suspected he came by during the night, but got scared off (by the bratty females who picked on him). I was really thinking he'd never come back, but sure enough - my neighbors took out their team one day and came back with a Rupert! He came bounding out of the bushes when he saw them and ran alongside them for a while. They knew I was missing a dog, so they put him in the team and he happily ran home with them.

Oh, also - those bushes were right behind my cabin!!!!!

So - he was super close the whole time and just wouldn't come near. Didn't matter how much I called and wandered around. And he wasn't even *that* shy, so I can imagine what Delta feels like. They can travel far quickly, but instinct keeps them close to "their pack" I think.

Good luck - if you need extra bodies going out looking, let me know for sure.
