If you're still waiting, you might want to give the Hancock Park Dis. office a call- 419-425-7275.
Or you can fax your info - fax 419-423-5811.
(I talked to them this morning & told them I'm posting the numbers)

They "found" your application in the pile waiting to be keyed into the puter;
so that means they "processed" it within the last few days - and they should
have already mailed out the Permit Card.

Have you printed out the application yet?

And don't forget the missing Zip Code for Parks = 45840
Thanks for checking into it Phred! Your the best! :D
I am awaiting Trinities dog lisence then I will be mailing the info into Findlay. Since Trinity isn't old enough for a rabies, will she be able to attend?
you might want to call up there and double check - I am not sure how old Trinity is but they reccomend that dogs under 16 weeks of age not be inside the fence - you could still bring her of course - and you could hang out outside the fence - that's what some do that have aggressive dogs.Quote:

Just mail the stuff - but do it SOON!
Just include a note with the paperwork saying that you'll be visiting the Dog Park
over Memorial Day weekend - and to please send the Permit "ASAP".
;)

Most County Health Departments (the outfits that demand Rabies Vaccinations
be given to ALL dogs visiting or living in Ohio) require the first Rabies shot be
given at 16 weeks of age.
There won't be any "deals" made by the Parks Office - you'll have to SHOW them
a copy of a Vet-signed Rabies Receipt, describing the dog, BEFORE they will
issue a permit.
The rules help protect Trinity - *IF* she should *nip* someone - the laws
say she has to be put down and tested for Rabies http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/eek.gif .
WITH a valid Rabies Veccination, the dog only has to be quarrantined -
usually in your home.
Staci is correct with the 16 week MINIMUM age to enter the Dog Park -
that age comes from the minimum age for a Rabies Shot.
AND - most Vets discourage young'uns from going into public places where
there may be UN-vaccinated dogs - puppies aren't fully protected from
the "Big Five" Diseases (DHLP-P) until they get ALL the puppy and booster shots.
I wouldn't bring Trinity to either the Dog Park or the Picnic area unless she's
had ALL the puppy shots and the first Rabies shot.
But you DO have time to get her shots and the Permit.

:D JOYCE!! You're coming too!?!? :D
she has had all her puppy shots, just not rabies. I don't feel comfortable giving rabies till 6 months. But I made her an appt. for the 28th of April.Quote:

I have e-mailed several different companies asking if they'd like to send anything as an advertisement/donation or what not for me to include in the baggies for you all as well as to hand out locally.
I just recieved a large package from SitStay.com - clickers & dog training treats for everyone! :) The ASPCA is also sending some things - and I still have some bracelets from their 140th anniversary.

Gina, All I know is how to spell my name and say "My Pleasure."
There is a hearing impaired couple who use ASL and it is our company policy to say "My Pleasure" after a customer thanks us - the husband can hear quite a bit and read lips well, so he tells us thank you and everything - We learned how to say "My Pleasure" in finger spellings just for them.
awesome they had that policy! I wish everyone everywhere could have that, would be nice to communicate. so, you don't know the other 14 letters? ;)
one thing though kay (and karen!), hearing impaired - maybe a very few wouldn't mind that phrase, (mostly to people who could hear at least a little) but please be aware most of us (who don't hear at all) would feel offended. we prefer deaf. (or hard of hearing for whose are sonically challenged too). I understand you didn't undermine us, I thought I'd educate you all a bit. :) just that word, makes me feel like I'm really disabled. :p
- (to understand better, please take a look here) -
anyway, I've not check this thread and missed zillion pages. sorry if I miss anything, (skimmed in a hurry to lab work tonight) - are we gonna camp this year or? enough participators? I still need to fill out and sent out crayola's application! agh.. sue, I hope you still know I'm coming. :)
freckles, I can promise you I won't forget! camera's always in my car. :D
this is so exciting! so many are coming - I can't wait.. I would have bring some food (pasta salad/banana bread) from menu you listed but I'll be in a heaty car for a couple of hours.. so I guess I'll be bringing what lv4dogs' gonna bring!
Cats at the park????
I am transporting the kitten I rescued to his new home in Ohio after the PT meeting. He will be 8 weeks old then and is so far very well mannered. He will have his first set of shots by then and I will have Kaige's crate for him to be confined in. If it is not too hot out AND I have my van I can keep him in the van during the cay. But if it is hot out he'd have to be out to prevent heat poinsoning. Because of all the strange dogs I will obviously not be bringing him out of his crate.
Will this be a problem at all?
Your Kitty won't be the First PT Kitty to attend a DAWG Park Gathurin!Quote:

There's plenty of picnic tables under the Pavilion -
with room to place the Kitty's Kat-O-Prison in a shady or breezy spot as required.
And the KAT won't need a Park Permit! :p
Thats great! And George (the kitty) LOVES dogs, in fact he prefers dogs to humans & other cats. lol I'm sure he won't mind some sniffins as long as the doggy is friendly, we don't need a hurt little George.Quote:

I got my permit in the mail this past weekend! I can't wait!!!
Mia and I will be comming . I am looking forward to meeting everyone. I won't be able to stay long because i will proably have to be at work by 3:00. But I might see about getting the day off or at least try to go in later. Because this sounds like fun. And I haven't had a day off in months. And this sounds like the prefect excuse to take the day off. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Lisa and Mia
Excellent - the more the merrier!
Practice now,
"But I HAVE to have that day off - it's a Pet Talk Event!"
Gahhhhh I wish I could go :/ My parents are slightly over protective and think that I shouldnt meet anyone in real life that I meet online...and then there's the fact that I live in Las Vegas...heh.
Ah, well. Maybe I can try to convince my parents to take Pixie and me out there next year ^^
Usually its not the best idea to meet people off the internet...but Pet Talk is different, I've never been hesitant to meet a fellow PTer, they are the best! If you convince them, pick me and Nebo up on your way, I'm in Utah. ;)Quote:

Yep, I have indeed noticed that PT is different...at first I was afraid to even say what my first name is :p but that's just...saftey issues I guess. I'm a rather...cautious 13 year old...lol
If we do go, I see no problem with picking you and Nebo up on the way ^^
Wish I didn't live so far away!! Sounds like it's going to be one of the best and busiest gatherings yet since I've been on PT...I hope you guys have a great time (I'm sure you will) :)
Got all the pups their up to date Rabies (well Griffin & Trinity). Trinity is going in next week for her spay, so I won't have any problems there. Just sent all the paperwork in for the permit. Yipee!!!! Can't wait to meet everyone!!!!
So exciting - it's getting closer!
Got my permit in the mail on Friday! :D
Will it just be you and Kia, or will Andy be coming too this time?
"Booked" our campsite! :D :D We'll be staying in MI for a week and also camping in OH.
As far as I know Andy is coming too. I told him he had plans that day. ;) :DQuote:
