Andy needs surgery

Thanks Phred for keeping everyone posted. I probably could of handed the phone off to Andy (he wanted to say thanks for the "Kia replacement" ;) ), but he was in intense conversation with the nurse at the time.

From what I can gather, they will be moving him in different positions during the night and having him get up. I guess if he just lays there there could be a risk of pnemonia or infection. :eek: :(

So he's not quite out of the woods yet.

They did say though that they anticpate he'll be moved out of the Critical Care Unit and into a new room tomorrow. Most likely the 5th floor.

Thank you all SO much for the continued prayers and support. It really means a lot to him and me. :)

Now, it's time for me to get some sleep.

Kim I'm glad to hear that the surgery went well and he is doing good. I'll still be keeping you and Andy in my prayers.

she'd been SOUND asleep and resting quietly :) ...

*WAKES* Mom up and <shoves> a pill down.

I followed her out to the med cart and asked what Mom just got??

The doctors just called, Andy's being taken into emergancy surgery and they requested the parents be there.

We had just woken up so his mom told me to take a breath and a shower.

Oh Kimmy you will be in my thoughts and prayers :(. Takecare and if you can please keep us updated.

Kimmy, I hope everything is going okay. I'm sure a phone call like that is very scary!!! Try to stay calm and know we are all praying for both of you!

I have not been posting in Pet Talk much lately but I have been lurking and following this thread. I wish I had the right words that could take away all of the fear you have right now. Just know that I have been praying for you both all along and you and I both know that with all these Pet Talk prayers happening Andy can't do anything BUT get better and be home with you soon.
